Live service - yeah, thanks but no thanks. What I actually enjoy about the latest entries is being sucked into the world and the storylines.

Way to alienate your fanbase by giving them the complete opposite of what they are used to. Why everyone has to try and copy these terrible trends. Hope they all keep failing like Avengers, really every developer needs to stop trying this. Sure they are some successful ones, but not every franchise is cut for this model!

+1 for Odyssey, also Red Dead Redemption 2 for me.

@UltimateOtaku91 Death Stranding is an awesome game. Gameplay is addictive, the weird story is very enjoyable. Music is great. I used to say the same “glorified walking simulator”. Then I got it on sale and became on of my favorites.

@PhhhCough yeah they’re quite dumb…consistent with the original N64 game. I don’t recall them being this dumb in the base Far Cry 5 game, but maybe it’s because in the game they come at larger groups?

By the way, used this as an opportunity to launch the game with the new FPS boost mode, it’s so much better!

They seem to be available on Xbox as well. Alternatively, if you’re playing Far Cry 5 on PC or Xbox you’ll want to look for the 'GE64' maps from user 'MapSwapper2' who has ported the levels over to those platforms.

Both games have a great campaign. Couldn’t care less about the multiplayer modes in either. Probably it’s been like 5 years since I last started GTAV

@IndoorHero Is the gameplay compelling? I know people love the story and all - but not willing to go through hours of mediocre gameplay for a good story. What are your thoughts? I'm on the fence of this one, and I've never got to play this series.

I did also play a bit of the original and found it a bit tedious.

Well technically you can play it in the 13th, if you are in the Western side of the world and change your Console's to New Zealand (work with Preordered digital edition of any game).

@Xenomorph_79 I played on PS plus as well. Not my cup of tea. Didn’t like the characters or combat. Dropped it after a few hours.

Read dead online…disappointing game as we once was the proper RDR2. Love the campaign but the online - that’s something I don’t intend to revisit anytime soon.

@RadioHedgeFund you know only some parts in the North of Mexico are a desert. The country is actually quite full of different ecosystems. It’s not like it is a big Tatooine- like country with a bunch of people in sombreros.

@Bdbrady Wholeheartedly agree with you. If you take the time to dive into that game....you'll find an amazing experience! One of my favorite games ever, very unique, weird story but with a lot of heart.

Really a lot of people knock it down because of the "walking simulator" label some people gave it, but you're only missing out if you don't give it a chance.

I think this might be related to Kojima as well. Maybe Xbox launch of Death Stranding + spin-off in development?

I loved it. The game itself was great and the story very compelling. The TV show portion could have been done a bit better tough. I also enjoyed it a bit more than control.

I bought it at 50% off during one of the holiday sale - but waiting for the Series X update to go through the campaign. No interest at all in the multiplayer aspect.

Great, agree nothing I'd really want to go back and play in the initial lineup, but hoping this will continue to grow!

Please give us RDR2 at 60 fps. Woud love to go through the campaign again in full 60 fps glory!

Haven’t played this as 505 didn’t give me a free update over my Xbox one version , but have had no issues over the PS5 one

Happy I got both consoles, and my experience was relatively painless - even was able to snatch consoles at different dates for friends

Funny I paid for Control on Xbox, but I’m getting the upgraded next gen version for free on PS5. ***** move from Remedy not to provide the free upgrade to those who bought the original version

But it for like 10 -15 or so back in December. Haven't played it yet, waiting for the Series X update.
At least the campaign should be worth it at that price, but have no interest in the live service portion.

@MaccaMUFC that would effectively price me out. I mostly continue to buy my games but use Gamepass as a complement. At 19.99, I would just cancel and maybe just use when there is a new game I want to play or wait until there are a few I could play in one month.

Well seems the backlash worked. Prices will be reverting to normal and free to play games will no longer require it.

I found it a good game, but after 25 hours I decided I wanted my refund anyway. It ran ok on Series X, but graphics looked like xbox 360 material at times.

After the game is running properly and has been updated for Series X I might rebuy, but for now I prefer to play other things.

Ubisoft’s RPG might be compelling, will have to see, but definitely curious about it.

Series consoles and Gamepass are a big win. So is the Bethesda announcement. But still lacking in strong first party titles. Xbox desperately needs more AAA first party games. This year was very strong with Sony and Nintendo is always strong with first party. Microsoft needs to step up. Hopefully Fable, Perfect dark, will pay off. More importantly, Halo Infinite needs to be amazing. Bethesda for sure will pay off but it seems that’s a longer term plan.

@Gaming365247 might be. I was impressed by how many people still play Mortal Kombat X. Some vocal fighting fans prefer it greatly over 11 due to the combo system and being more “hardcore”.

Between Valhalla I went back to BOTW and actually finished it.

DOOM Eternal for me. From that list I am also enjoying Valhalla a lot and was enjoying Cyberpunk. However, I did decide to ask for Reimbursement for Cyberpunk and wait until the Series X patch is ready. It is a great game, so would rather play it the way it is meant to be played in a Next Gen System.

Maybe they should hand over development of the PS4 and Xbox One version to a firm like Panic Button or Saber Interactive, who have managed to squeeze every last inch of performance of a system as weak as the Switch to run DOOM Eternal and The Witcher 3 to great success. CDPR should focus on PC, Series X and PS5.

Cyberpunk 2077, no major complaints on Series X on quality mode - would like 60 FPS with these graphics.

Also trying to finish Valhalla.

I think it’s fine. Don’t have any problem with progression in Valhalla as it is, actually find myself overpowered for most missions as I start them. If someone wants to rush it, their choice, but is not really needed to enjoy the game

I am a sucker for 60 FPS and I think that affects the experience much more than resolution. So don’t really care about the 30 FPS quality mode. I just spent a good two hours in my Xbox Series X with this game. Screen tearing issue has been greatly improved, but still there at times. Just not as noticeable anymore.

Hope they manage to fix it completely in future updates

We need to vote with our wallets. Companies want accept exclusivity deal but still want to take their share of profit from the competing platform. Stop supporting this terrible practices. If a publisher wants to support a exclusivity deal, fine, but be willing to forfeit the profit coming from the other side. Not releasing an inferior version

I didn’t buy Avengers for this reason. Will gladly pass on this as well

Super Mario 3D All Stars. Sold my Xbox one X a month ago in anticipation for my Series X. Can’t wait to get my Series X this Tuesday and grt back in the action. Look forward to the DOOM eternal DLC which I missed and AC Valhalla

Since I’m not going to rebuy, they can cancel it for all I care. And they lost potential revenue from DLC from me because of their stupid decision to double dip on early adopters.

To your point, Mortal Kombat Trilogy updated Ultimate Mortal kombat 3 with missing characters and stages from the previous games, so everything is possible.

Maybe stuff like Elder Scrolls and Fallout they’ll make a timed exclusive. But I just can’t see MS releasing new DOOM or Wolfenstein games for PS
