IGN's most recent look at Forza Horizon 6 focuses on the improvements made to cars and customisation this time around, and there's an interesting nugget of information here regarding Turn 10 Studios and how they've helped out with this year's Forza Horizon game.
Indeed, Turn 10 recently scaled back on Forza Motorsport development to help Playground Games polish up FH6, and it turns out that the track racing specialists have helped Playground improve car detail and introduce new vehicle features in the 2026 open world racer.

Here's a member of the Playground team talking about this:
"We had a really close collaboration with Turn 10 on this project — we've always worked really closely with them — but on this project in particular, we were really able to leverage some of the resources on their side that helped us invest in certain features for our vehicles. The other thing is that we've invested in our team here at Playground - I think I'm right in saying this is the largest vehicle art team that we've had on a project."
Things have been pretty quiet regarding Forza Motorsport and Turn 10 over the past six months or so, so it's nice to hear that Xbox and Playground Games are making good use of the studio and its resources in helping build Forza Horizon 6. At the end of the day, Forza Motorsport's 2023 reboot was the first game in the series to focus solely on current-gen hardware, and we expect there to be lots of learnings being brought over into FH6.
As for those new vehicle features that the two teams have been working on, the above video goes into a little bit more detail on that, including showing off new tyre wear mechanics, improvements to car models, new customisation features and more.
