Re: Roundup: Xbox Series X Final Preview Impressions

Bobobiwan

@FraserG Thanks for the article ! Was curious, thought : did you receive yourself one of these prototype consoles ?

And if not, how come ? I mean : you're an Xbox-centered website, and a damn good one, if you want my opinion !

I'm asking this cause I'm eager to get your opinion about the console itself !

Thanks !

Re: Here's The Full List Of Xbox Series X|S Launch Day Titles

Bobobiwan

@FraserG Thanks for bringing this up ! But wait... Where is my beloved Marvel's Avengers ?
I have a copy of the game right now (but no console to play it... yet) and it clearly mentions "Xbox Series X - Xbox One" and "Smart Delivery"

Does it means that the next-gen patch of the game won't be ready from day one ?

Re: 343 Has No Plans To Add Halo 5 To The Master Chief Collection

Bobobiwan

@Fenbops I really don't get the hate-train that game is getting. I recently replayed all of the Halo games, and discovered in this playthrought Halo 4 and 5.
And man, what an experience !

Sure, this is not Bungie anymore, we can feel it. Something is different, don't know what, in gameplay or level design... But on the pros side, the story and general cinematic experience is just awesome.

You really need to play all the previous games before getting into Halo 5. Just to appreciate how powerfull the story is. And that ending, gosh !!

I really can't wait to get my hands on Infinite, now.

Re: Team Xbox Has 'More To Come' In The Final 4 Weeks To Series X|S Launch

Bobobiwan

We know Cyberpunk will benefit some kind of enhancement for the next-gen consoles from day one, even if a better enhancement is shedulded for next year.
I'm really curious to see the game on SX next month : will it be okay to play it on november ? Or will it be wieser to wait for next year ?

I really don't know what to do with this game right now. I know I want to play it, but I want to play it in the best conditions possible.

Re: Marvel's Avengers Dev 'Confident Players Will Return To The Game'

Bobobiwan

And yet I have waited for the next-gen version to get my hands on this gem in its purest form !
So as far as I am concerned, this will be one of the launch titles for my brand new Series X.
I already know that I'll like the game, cause I'm a big Avengers fan and all I expect is a good story with my favorites characters in it.
I'm not even interested in the "game as a service" aspect. I plan to do the solo mode, and that's it.

Re: Talking Point: How Many Of Bethesda's Future Games Will Be Xbox Exclusives?

Bobobiwan

@BrilliantBill True, Sony exclusives can be quite often considered as real masterpieces. And I mean it.

But you know what game definitly made me direct my choice to Series X ? Just a hint : it's the one you chose for your avatar.

Seriously, I only discovered this absolute gem three or four months ago. I had it on physical, on my backlog, for quite some time. And one day, I just randomly chose to start this game and not another.

I played it on Xbox One X, headset on my ears. And it was such a shock, to me. I cannot even find the words to express how that particular game made me feel.

So Hellblade 2 ? For me, it's a system seller. As in : this is the one that really made me consider the Series X over the PS5.

Gamepass and All Acess did the rest.

Hellblade 2... Even if it comes only in 2022, I don't care. This game, those guys at Ninja Theory, with the budget of Microsoft behind them.

It's gonna be huge. Really, really huge.

Re: Talking Point: How Many Of Bethesda's Future Games Will Be Xbox Exclusives?

Bobobiwan

I don't know what people are talking about, sincerely.

This "case by case" phrase was there only to refer to those two games that already are under contract for the PS5 launch.

Of course, everything new (and I mean NEW, not a DLC for a previous game) will only be avalaible on Xbox AND PC ! (don't forget that ! To bring everything on PC day one is, in a way, a form of multiplatform.)

So, Starfield and ES VI on PS5 ? Yeah, sure, you can dream...

Re: You Might Not Get Your Xbox Series X On Launch Day, Warns Amazon

Bobobiwan

And that is why I'm so proud for having preordered it at my local shop. I was the second person to wait in front of the shop before its opening (the guy before me was there four hours in advance ! While I came only two hours before the opening)

So, I'm pretty much sure to play on my brand new system on day one. I really feel like a child before Christmas, right now !

Re: Talking Point: Have You Been Able To Pre-Order An Xbox Series X|S?

Bobobiwan

Was waiting in the morning in front of my local store to open. Some others guys were there for the same reason (one before me). Good talking, we were discussing the Bethesda move nobody saw coming.
Then the store opened. I sold my One X, secured a Series X (had to pay in advance 50 bucks for that). Then in a minute, the store was full of people. All wanting to secure a Series X.

I've got my ticket to ride on next-gen, now. I'm feeling like a kid befor Christmas... Good times, my friends, good times !

Re: Guide: What Games Are Coming To Xbox Series S & X At Launch?

Bobobiwan

@FraserG Wait, Avengers has been confirmed for the launch date ? In its upgraded version, I mean ? Do we have specifis, will there be a new physical edition (with the mention "Optimized for Series X" on the back) ?

I was really waiting for next gen to get my hands on this game, so if this is true, I'm more than happy !

Re: Rocket League Officially Goes Free-To-Play On Xbox Next Week

Bobobiwan

"you'll still require Xbox Live Gold in order to access Rocket League's online features when it goes free-to-play"

THIS. IS. TOTAL. NONSENSE.

And I know this problem is not new. I had to pay a month of Xbox Live gold in order to play Phantasy Star Online 2, which is supposed to be... well... FREE to play. Except that it's not.

Even if the Xbox Live Gold stays, even if it's still something we have to pay, IT HAS TO, AT LEAST, FREE THOSE DAMN FREE-TO-PLAY GAMES.

Why can Sony do it, and not Microsoft ?

Re: Microsoft Celebrates The 10th Anniversary Of Halo: Reach

Bobobiwan

@TheNewButler I tottaly agree. I was like "Hell I'm gonna get out of here ! I know I can do it ! I can... I can... AAAAAAH"

The story was really great, too. Especially the final, when you have to transport - spoiler - to - spoiler- . I played the campaign again like two months ago, and I couldn't help but think that Star Wars Rogue One picked some of its ending structure from this game...

Re: Pick One: Which Of These Newly Announced Ubisoft Games Are You Most Excited For?

Bobobiwan

Something strange happened for me, with this "Prince of Persia" trailer. Suddenly, it made me want to discover those titles that I've known for so long and that I've never experienced myself.
The only Prince of Persia I had, a long time ago, was the original game on game boy. It was hard, but one of my favorite games.

So. I just bought the original Sands of Time in its Xbox version, on Xbox One X (only 4 dollars on the store, right now !). And I managed to find its two sequels on gamecube. And now I even added the cell-shade reboot from Xbox 360 (also 4 dollars !).

Hell, it even made me want to watch again this movie with Jake Gyllenhaal.

So I voted Prince of Persia. Even if I will probably not play this remake.

Re: Star Wars: Squadrons Will Support Joysticks And Throttles On Xbox One

Bobobiwan

@Justifier @JoakimZ Maybe so, I don't know. But if it is the case, I can say that I really don't understand.

VR is a game changer, it is the thing that we dreamed of thirty years ago, thniking it was never going to be possible.

And here it is. As imperfect as it is, it just WORKS. You ARE in another world, when you play on VR.

It's just so crazy. It is the future. It has to be.

Re: Star Wars: Squadrons Will Support Joysticks And Throttles On Xbox One

Bobobiwan

As far as I love my actual Xbox One X, and my future Series X...

I must admit that I'll play this game on PS4, with the PSVR on my head.

I really hope that Microsoft comes with a solution for VR on its Series S/X. Maybe a compatibility with PC existant headsets, like Oculus or something.

There's a market here. It is still small, but it exists. And it's growing.

Re: Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake Arrives Next January

Bobobiwan

@pip_muzz Thanks for the advice, friend ! I just purchased it for less than 4 dollars (it is on sale right now).

It was a bit of a mess to find it, cause for whatever reason, you cannot buy it FROM your Xbox One. You have to buy it from Xbox.com or from you Xbox 360 and then you can download it on your One. I don't know if it is a licencing problem, or whatever.

But the game is pretty great, and it is off course enhanced in 4K on One X, like all BC games !

Now, I don't need this remake at all...

Re: Guide: How Do Backwards Compatible Games Work On The Xbox Series S/X?

Bobobiwan

@Nermannn Yeah, Jet Set Radio Future is THE ONLY REASON I've still got my Xbox 360 plugged in on my TV. This game is so brillant (and works pretty well on Xbox 360).

It would be so nice to see it in 4K, cell-shade games never show their age. Especially this one...

"UNDERSTAND ! UNDERSTAND ! THE CONCEPT, THE CONCEPT... OF LOVE !!!!" Man, this soundtrack ! It is still soooo cool !

Re: Microsoft's Entire Xbox Series S Press Briefing Has Leaked Online

Bobobiwan

Did I already say how much I HATE all of those so-called leakers ?

It's so unfair for all of these guys who have worked their asses to give us the best reveal possible... and now, because of one or two morons, everything was just rushed out.

Sure, we all liked what we learned those past few days. But Sony, too. I really think that Sony is going to re-think its strategic now (aka its prices) and Microsoft just lost a big advantage that they could come with.

Imagine for a moment : Sony reveals its PS5 is 600 dollars, and its PS5 digital 500. AND THEN Micosoft unleash its prices.

Now I guess Sony will align its offer : probably 500 for PS5, 400 for PS5 digital. PS players are the winner, here, and it's good for them.

Re: Microsoft Exec Denounces Next-Gen Xbox Leaks As 'Theft'

Bobobiwan

I was one of the first people to say that "enough is enough" with the waiting game, which I found really exausting, mentally.

HOWEVER, I must admit now that I understand what they were planing. The PS5 was going to be announced at a higher cost, that thing is a given. It's a sure fact.

So, for Xbox, it was very important to let Sony goes first.

But now, they find themselves naked, in a way. And Sony remains silent. So we know that many, many things are going behind the scene. They will undercut their original price, that's also sure.

So. In a way, it is all for the better, regarding players interest. But microsoft was hit hard with this leak. It made them miss a chance to be under Sony's price. It is unfair.
