I think most of the players are missing the point, here. This battle pass system has clearly been designed to make everyone being able to progress.

And that means even the noobs who are loosing match after match.

That was their tagline : "Halo is for everyone".

Personnaly, and seeing my skills... I'm totally fine with it ! xD

I was under the impression that Destiny 2's expansions were going to stay forever, I don't know why.

I entered the Destiny world very late, like a year ago. I did the first's game main campaign, just for the story, and then switched directly to the second one, on SX.

I really liked what I discovered, that universe and that "Halo" feel in the gameplay (after all, it's Bungie).

But two things made me uninstall the game after a while :

• The constant disconnections that made me lost my progression (only game to ever did that to me, so it was definitly not my connection's fault)
• And the fact that they just decided, back then, to SUPRESS, PURELY AND SIMPLY, a very important part of the campaign, talking nonsense about putting it "into the vault" (like..."maybe someday you'll be able to play it again. If we feel like it"). That was frustrating as hell, as it was an important part of the story (its beginning, in fact !) that new players - like myself - just could not access to.

Time to dig all of my Dead or Alive discs, I think !!

Discovering Halo's title screen. I've told it many times, but still.

This was a real shock in my gamer's life.

20 years, geez. It surely does not make me feel younger.

@Grumblevolcano that, for sure, is a given : as soon as Infinite MP goes live, all of the other Halo games' multi will be abandonned by the community. For a while, at least.

Ok, I played a bit of GTA and this definitely not for me. Nostalgia googles are an obligation, here, I think.

I know it's only a remaster, but sincerely, did we need something like that ?

It really is ugly as f... ! xD And I know - again - that it was a PS2 game, back then, but since ! We had MGS2 and 3 on this console, so what's up with these ridiculous cutscenes ?

@Scenes I don't know about Judgement, but I can confirm that 2 and 3 were updated for Xbox One X in 4K.

Still 30 fps, thought.

Maybe this series of patches announces a 60 fps feature for backward games.

Sonic Generations in 60 fps would just be the dream !

@NEStalgia What would be cool, but I don't know if it's possible, is a kinf of mixed mode : quality mode on the map, for exploration, and then, everytime you enter a race, an event, or something, bam ! The game switch automatically to performance.

Maybe something like that would be the better of two worlds.

As for me, I definitely chose Quality - racing or not. My eyes are now used to the general feeling of the 30 fps in the game, and I just cannot go back from that beautifull scenery and these magnificents landscapes.

Don't want to be that guy, but if it was to be a surprise, it is now officially spoiled...

What do these "rumors guys" win for telling that kind of thing ?

Got a Series X from day one, paid with all access, which was perfect for me. Jumped into gamepass with that (I had resisted on One X, too attached to physical games) and it's been a blast everyday since.
Still got my PS4 Pro, with a lot of backlog on it, but I only play on SX now. This console is so great, really. I truly have become, I guess, an Xbox fanboy.

@Microbius It's really a tough choice. I just played an hour in 60 fps, and yeah, the game, like that, is so sweet. It seems faster, it responds better. So, everything a racing game needs, right ?

But personnally, I just can't pretend to not see the graphic gap. The game in quality mode is almost photorealistic to my eyes. And I don't know what they add to the general picture, in order to make it look like that... but for me, it's just night and day.

Performance mode is making it look like an extraordinary videogame, while quality mode is making it look like a damn movie !

And so, I chose to get back - and stay for a while - to quality mode.

It really is a matter of personal appreciation, I guess !

Ok, now that I've finnally been able to put my hands on it, I just can't decide myself between quality and performance modes.

What did you choose, pals ? XD

We already know that graphically speaking, it will just be glorious.

And I'm trusting them for everything else.

It's so exciting to see a team that talented giving a take on this franchise !

@Zag_Man Exactly the same feeling. I really am torn apart by this all new look. And I really don't know what to think about it.
On the screenshots, for me, it looks kinda bad. Like, really bad.

But I guess I'll have to see it in movement. Thanks the gamepass for that ! I'll try it on thursday, between two Forza sessions !

I've got them on physical, on PS3... But I bought 2&3 during the last sale anyway. I was surprised to see that Peace Walker HD (one the very best games in the entire saga, in my opinion) was not included in the pack (since it's included in physycal).

So now, reading this, I also bought Peace Walker to play it on my Xbox. Just in case.

I noticed an update, for the remake on Xbox One, just a few days ago. Don't know if it's tied to the anniversary or what.

Finishing Gears 5 right now (I'm actually at the final chapter, final act) and it's the best Gears experience I've ever had. This mid-open world structure fits very well to the series, in my opinion.
Now, have to go and finish Hivebusters before Forza official launch ! xD

This game has to success, in order to show Square that Games As a Service are not the way to go.

From what I've seen on video, so far, there's something very special about this mode, here. Something very cinematic, I don't know. When the performance mode is just looking like... well, a videogame. A pretty good one, but a videogame anyway.

The quality mode just looks out of this world, in this game !

I'm finishing my Gears 5 run ! I'm playing throught the campaign for the first time and I'm loving it ! But I have to finish it before Forza release, argh !

I tried Unpacking, too. Very cool and relaxing experience.

@LtSarge Yeah, Quantum Break is definitely one of my favorites games of last gen. One of its biggest qualities, in my opinion, is the way its story is so cleverly handling the time travel concept.

I've read countless books about this subject, seen countless movies, too. Cause I love this thematic, and I love this kind of science-fiction stories. But everytime, and I mean everytime, from a scientific point of view, it just doesn't work.

But here, you can tell the scenarists have really studied their subject : by introducing the notion of "chronons", which is a very special representation of time itself, and by establishing right away that no one can go back further than the day the actual time machine was invented. A lot of pretty common paradoxes in time travel stories are just dealt, here, with these two simple facts. It is brillant, pure and simple.

I really loved that game.

@SplooshDmg That would be hilarious ! Especially when we know that these guys are actual gamers and not just corporate men (talking about Shu and Phil, here, off course that Cory is a gamer too !)

By the way, am I the only one who thinks that the character of PADUK in Gears 5 has been designed to look like Phil Spencer ? I'm discovering the game right now and it kinda flashed me, when I met him around the beginning of the third act.

This character definitly looks like him, or is it me ? XD

As someone who never touched a Forza Horizon, I think I'm in for a threat !

Also, I've checked several videos to compare the quality and performances modes, and I really think I'm gonna play essentially in quality.

And I'm saying that as someone who is particulary enjoying, right now, the 60 fps of Gears 5.

And I know for a fact that a racing game should be 60 fps, no debate.

But... I don't know, for this Forza in particular, there is something in the graphics, in quality mode... I can't tell what exactly... that is properly cinematographic. A sort a motion blur that seems to blend perfectly the frames between themselves, even if there is only 30 per second... and it makes everything looks so damn good !

Anyway, just a few more days to wait !

@themightyant Yeah, Gears of War, on 360, was a real shock, too. It really, really made a HUGE difference between its way of doing things and everything else.

Graphically wise, it just still... holds up. In 2021, this title is still gorgeous. And I'm not even mentionning the remaster on Xbox One.

What a masterpiece.

Talking about that, I'm discovering Gears 5 right now, for the very first time, on my Series X. And I'm litterally blown away by how clever and beautifull this game is.

I remember, back then , I had sold my PS2 to buy an Xbox. And I loved my PS2. I don't know for the USA, but here, in Europe, everybody considered this as a foolish move. Playstation was everything, nobody knew a thing about the Xbox brand.

But I've read a review in a videogame magazine, about a game that just... blew my mind. The review, I mean. I've read that article again and again and again. I used to dream about that game.

The game was Halo.

It was described as "the most beautifull FPS ever" and the review was just... extatic. I had to see it for myself. Back then, no youtube, no streaming of whatever. Just a review, on paper. A text, some photos. And I had to figure the rest of it. To imagine how it would surely look like.

So I sold my PS2, and all of my games. I had just enought to buy an Xbox, with Halo. This big, big console. With this big, big controller.

And I remember... When I launched that game for the first time. The title screen. That... ring. In space. With... land on it ? Wh... what ? And that... music ! It was just...

I stood in front onf that title screen for, maybe, half an hour. I didn't want to press start. Not right away. I wanted to enjoy the feeling, the questions...

Then I pressed start.

The rest is history.

Can't wait for Infinite, damn it ! XD

I'll definitely play this if it's coming to Xbox Series !

@K1LLEGAL Yeah, but not for the 360 and original Xbox games. These ones are considered "owned" forever as soon as we reclaim them. Even if we stop our Gold membership.

But I don't know... maybe it's me ? Maybe I didn't reclaim it at the moment... Anyway, I'm gonna make some screen capture, from time to time, of my library, now. Just to be sure.

I'm pretty sure I had reclaimed back then the Xbox version of Indiana Jones (it was in february, if I remember correctly).

But I realized yesterday it wasn't in my library anymore. Not on my console, and not even on my account. If I find the game's page on the store, I just can "buy" it, I don't own it.

It seems to just have disapeared of my list.

And I'm pretty sure I had it, cause I have all of the other games from this month (Lost Planet 2, etc...)

Has it ever happened to some of you, guys ? One of the game with gold games that just vanish ?

I may be in the minority here, but I'm really satisfied with these games. Hell, it maybe is the very first time that I'll reclaim the four of them !

I just began my very first run of Gears 5 (which is awesome on Series X ! ), but as soon as I've finished it, I plan to dive into the Forgotten City. There is no way this game is just going under the backlog category, with all the others who are waiting.

I'm still in love with Star Ocean 3, one of the biggest shocks of my PS2 years !

Also, I want to give another go at the two Matrix games. With Matrix 4 just on its way, I don't know, maybe it's possible !

BUT I'll wait till November games with gold be announced. You never know.

EDIT : gonna take Bioshock collection, too, at this price ! I've got them on PS4, but thoses games were ultimately optimized for One X. Plus, for me, the Bioshock series has to be played with an Xbox gamepad.

EVERYBODY (well, kinda) who's into the backward compatibility program is waiting for this game.

I can still play this game on my 360, thought. But for most people, this game is just a memory. Please, bring it back, Microsoft !

On the game itself : going open world, for Halo, really gives me Metal Gear Solid 5 vibes. And I adored MGS5.

What I mean is that this game (MGS5) took everything we love in its series to then put it in a really, really bigger playground, finally letting the gameplay express itself like never before, AND without forgetting to tell us a good story.

I really think that Halo Infinite will success in the same way.

I found it extraordinary but what I really don't get is the huge gap between reactions to this trailer and the one from last year.

What I mean is last year, I finished by asking myself if I was dumb, or something, cause I was under the impression that I was maybe the only one on the planet who found the trailer exceptionnal. I was extremely surprised, when I checked the comments on the web, to see all this negativity, the memes (even if they were funny), etc.

And now, same feeling : I don't understand. Cause I loved this trailer, but I don't think it showed me a different game than the one from the previous trailer. It's the same game, which looked perfectly fine for me, the last time I saw it. And the same goes for today.

So why the hate before, and the love now ?

I'm so hyped. I'm counting among the few who thought the first gameplay reveal was perfectly fine, so...

I just want the Halo feel. That's what I want.

I'm thinking about skiping the direct in order to download a proper 4k version (should be avalaible right after, if I'm correct).
