Damn. I was under the impression that 60 fps was an obligation for a racing game, but they made me doubt it.
I think I'll try the quality mode first, and then stick with it, or either switch to performance. But my guess is once you've played in 60 fps, you just can't go back to 30. So 30 first, I think.
Oh, and now I remember : Drive Club on PS4 is 30 fps. Still my favorite racing game of the gen, so...
I have so much memories of the first one, back in the days where it was seen as a Metal Gear rival... and I'm saying that as a total Metal Gear fanboy. The first Splinter Cell was just pure magic.
Between this game and Halo, it was so good to have an Xbox, back then !

Ok, I'm just gonna speak for myself, here : I don't see the point of it, with Infinite being so close to release, now.
Actually, I think I'll even uninstall all of the MP content of the MCC, and keeping only the campaign modes. The multiplayer will be on Infinite, from now on.
Plus, and that's only my personnal feeling : I just don't know what to think about these new armor designs. Really, they're so... weird, I don't know.
I have been a defender of physical copies for years. Really : I'm the guy who enjoy to collect games, and put them on a shelf, near all my books and Dvds / Blurays.
But with my Series X, I finally made peace with a full digital way to play. At least on this console. Gamepass was a part of the equation, smart delivery was another.
I really don't see the point of discs anymore, on this console. They are now just keys to unlock your content, which has to be downloaded anyway. So you better download it right away, in order to cancel one step of the process (you just select your game and play).
I'm still going physical for the Switch, thought (planning to buy a Metroid copy this week).
I just can't believe it. At the VERY SECOND they get a new batch of players for their until-that-deserted-game, they go all out and try to milk a maximum of cash out of it.
It's just unbeliveable.
I understand that they want this game to make them profit outside of the retail price itself, in order to make the game live and all, but that's the absurdity of the "game as a service" model.
You can't just do those "free-to-play"sort of things with a game that is not, well, free to play.
And an admission in the gamepass programm does not make it free to play.
It's a shame, cause at its core, Avengers is a solid game, in my opinion. For twenty of thirty hours. But Square, please, don't try so desperatly to steal our money, geez. At this point, you just embarass yourself.

The game is pretty short, apprently, so I'll have time to finish it before it leaves, but I guess I'll buy it anyway, just to support the devs. With the little 20 % discount we get, the game is nearly ten bucks.
And that's why I bought Vesperia in the last sales. It was just priced around 7 bucks. At this price, I took to get it in a safe place, juste in case it would leave the gamepass.
Glad I did that.
As for Katana, I didn't try it yet. So I will, just to see if I have to buy it, too.
As always, thanks for the heads-up ! I took MGS and Silent Hill collection (which I already got on PS3 but I barely turn on this little one, nowadays), the same goes for Castlevania Lord of Shadow.
I also bought Tales of Vesperia, just in case it goes off the gamepass program too soon for me. At this price, it was a must-have.
@themightyant Honestly, I don't know very much about that, as I'm an actual casual player.
All I wanted with this game was to play an Avenger in a good story mode, and that's what I found.
I only played Iron Man, except when I had to play others for the sake of the story, and I still have not maxed his skill tree. But It's probably because I did stop playing just after the end credits (I didn't dive into the endgame - multiplayer play).
So, my take is : if you consider this game just for its solo mode, it is a good game. Not too short, not too long, a good superhero tale with really cool sequences (The Stark Mansion, for exemple). But for the endgame, I don't know. And I guess that's where all the criticisms are found.
But I'm planning to play the game again, now, for the Wakanda expansion which seems very fun. And maybe a little multiplayer, who knows ? With gamepass, maybe it will suddenly be filled with plenty of players !
Excellent batch of games !

It really has a good story, gameplay is fun (I'm so in love with the ability to play an actual IRON MAN, with flying and everything !), and graphics are really cool. Maybe you won't play hundred of hours, and will let it go after the main story's ending, and that's fine. But it deserves a play, really. Just my two cents.
Saw Shang Chi in cinemas last week : it was a very cool movie.
Sure, it was not perfect, especially if you can't take it anymore with all these Marvel's gimmicks we're now used to (like having a side character making a joke instantaneously, everytime something seems a little too silly in the screen - just in case we would like to take it too seriously).
But the fights are really cool, and the main protagonist is very, very likable. It feels kinda fresh, in a way, to discover a new character in this universe, and this is one I'll be pleased to follow in the next entries.
Give it a chance, if you like this kind of entertainment !
PS : Oh, and Tony Leung is SO COOL. In every scene he's in. But we all know that, right ?

When I played it on One X, after trying the 60 fps mode, I decided to stick to quality (30 fps on One X) because I found that, for a game with such a beautifull cinematography, the 60 fps kinda deserved it, giving it a look that felt too much "videogame" for my taste (which is ironic, cause, you know, it's a... videogame).

It's difficult cause at every main title of the list, I'd like to say "yeah, that's one ! This is my favorite ! Oh, wait, that one was excellent, too..."
Overall, the first one will always have a special place for any gamer from that time. It was a shock. It was "the best videogame ever made" for many who played it back then. And I'm saying that as a Nintendo fan at heart : I don't even really like FPS as a genre. I like adventure games, I like... The Legend of Zelda, for exemple. But Halo, man... It just had something special to it. It was a new world to discover. It was amazing.
But, in the end, about the choice... I had to pick Halo 3. Cause at the time, I've waited for this game like I never had for any other. Watched the trailer a million time ("I am your shield. I am your sword..." goosebumps everytime !) and I still do, from time to time.
Reach is also extraordinary. I really, really loved its campaign.
Also, a word bout 4 and 5 : 343 really don't deserve, in my opinion, all the bashing they get. Halo 4 is a very beautifull game (it is even more so on the MCC) and Halo 5 has its incredible story for it (that ending !!).
All of that to say : I'm very confident about Infinite.
I have to try the Darsiders saga. I've got the first one on my hard drive since an eternity (given it was free at some point, if I recall correctly). I've heard it's a very good series of game, so...
There is NO WAY I start this journey without EVERYTHING installed on my SSD, world packages and all.
I'll be patient, it's ok.
I want THE FULL experience, for this one !!

A shame for Crosscode, as it was on my backlog since a while, now. At least, it pushed me to finally give it a try, and decided me to buy it... on Switch. I'll be perfect for a portable session, I think.
The option to be able play a game not updated, but only offline is a must-have, in my opinion. Playstation does it since an eternity, it should be a given.
How frustrating it is, when you finally get the time to play a little hour of a game yoy haven't played for a long time, only to see that you cannot play it right now, cause IT HAS to update first.

2) This does not seems to be, in fact, a Pokémon-clone. It seems to bring some things from the Kingdom Hearts saga as well. Like a KH vibe, I don't know.

A shame for Crosscode, as it was on my backlog since a while, now. At least, it pushed me to finally give it a try, and decided me to buy it... on Switch. I'll be perfect for a portable session, I think.

The option to be able play a game not updated, but only offline is a must-have, in my opinion.
Playstation does it since an eternity, it should be a given.
How frustrating it is, when you finally get the time to play a little hour of a game yoy haven't played for a long time, only to see that you cannot play it right now, cause IT HAS to update first.
No, it has not to. Just block the online features, and let me play right now. I'll update it later in the evening.
