I'm sure we'll get one someday but it seems crazy to me that there isn't one already out or ready to go. Seems like Microsoft have been missing a trick on this one for a while now
It's been an exciting year for Xbox and this place has been great at giving us a platform to follow the news and just talk about Xbox and gaming in general in a fun and relaxed way.
The extensive library of games (old and new) ready to play is very nice, if a little overwhelming.
The speed at which the consoles power on and just work is probably my standout feature, surprisingly. I have the Series S in my bedroom and it's made my Roku stick redundant. Now I just use the Xbox for YouTube, Netflix, Now TV etc.
I've been playing a bit of Devil May Cry 5 and Mortal Kombat 11 lately. If my anger levels go up when I'm back to work tomorrow then violent video games are definitely to blame!
I'm actually pretty impressed by the improvements here. The new camera angle is nice (although obviously that could've just been put on the old versions) but the graphics are a nice step up and something about the gameplay does feel a bit more fluid
I think like a lot of people I was quite sceptical of the high praise it got on PS4 last year but it's not really until you play it yourself that you realise just how affecting it is.
Really glad to see the game reach new players on Xbox and Game Pass and the multiplayer modes are great additions too.
I'm really happy with the new Xbox controllers as they are. The improvements over the Xbox One pads are noticeable for me. The triggers feel a lot better and it's just more comfortable to hold
@XBontendo oh it's super easy. As Daniel mentions in the hands on, you just plug it into the back and the games are there ready to start a second later.
Very pricey and a luxury at the moment but I'm already finding mine quite useful. I have my Series X and S set up in different rooms so using this to store games I'll play on both is a big time and storage space saver.
My personal recommendation would still be for people to just use a regular hard drive or SSD and copy over backed up games from there as it only takes a few minutes.
But for those that want the absolute best tech, this definitely works as well as advertised.
I'm really excited for this and, most importantly, when it comes to console. It'll be a real game changer to try out Game Pass games without a download
@Mckilmer said this to myself last night.. And then this morning I picked up Observer System Redux, Little Nightmares, Freedom Finger and Dark Souls Remastered. Those last 3 games I already have on other platforms as well haha
Already got some 300+ games waiting on Game Pass too..
I think I'll be sticking with my LG B7 for a few more years yet.
As @Medic_Alert said, I'll almost certainly be choosing resolution over 120 fps options anyway so 4K60 is more than enough (not that every game will even reach that anyway!)
I'm just saying I find it pretty baffling that anyone is paying upwards of £800 for the Series X now. I'm not knocking the console, I've got one and am enjoying it
Yeah I've noticed a few games it doesn't seem to work on. I feel like there needs to be a better way of showing which games are currently suspended as well.
It's a great feature but it definitely needs a bit of work
I'm enjoying the new consoles but the Xbox Series in particular really isn't worth the cost for upgrade at the moment. It's a massive luxury item at the moment
Mine has been pretty smooth all things considered. My Series X (ordered from Game) came yesterday at about 2pm and the Series S came about half hour ago today from Amazon.
Setup was simple, and although there's a little disappointment that the UI is the same (I miss that 'new' feel a little), overall it's nice to have most things just work straight out the gate and already be familiar with the layout.
It's impressive how quickly games are available to start once plugging in an old external drive, and transferring a few over was fast too.
Looking at the Game Pass and EA Play libraries is somewhat overwhelming, but it's not a bad thing to have so much choice!
Neither are next gen optimised, but I'm gonna get stuck into either Hellblade or A Plague Tale later tonight.
Awesome. Looking forward to next week and getting stuck into the systems myself.
Not expecting it to be as exciting as a typical new console release, but that's fine. Xbox have been refining what they're about for the last few years and it seems positive.

Re: These 20+ Games Are Coming To Xbox In January 2021
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but I do feel there's a fair amount of pressure on The Medium to be at least good.
Re: Here Are Your Xbox Games With Gold For January 2021
Happy for more people to get the chance to check out Little Nightmares.
It's not as perfect as something like Inside, but it has some brilliant moments that make it standout as a great game for me.
Re: Site News: Thank You For Your Fantastic Support In 2020
Cheers all.

Re: Rockstar Is Still ‘Absolutely’ Committed To Working On Single Player Stories
Well their actions say "absolutely not". Even more so when they mention trying to make more single player elements for online.
Re: Xbox Rival PlayStation Pulls Cyberpunk 2077 From Its Digital Store
Pretty incredible how this story is panning out and continuing to surprise us.
What on earth were the decision makers thinking when they decided to "go gold" and then go ahead with the release?!?
Re: The Medium Is Now Ready To Pre-Install With Xbox Game Pass
Yeah could do with this now after the disappointment of Cyberpunk!
Re: Nintendo Doesn't Seem Too Interested In Bringing Xbox Game Pass To Switch
It's still amazing that a guy called Bowser is running Nintendo 😂
Game Pass and xCloud on Switch would be amazing but it does seem pretty unlikely

Re: Halo Infinite Will Launch In Fall 2021
Sounds about right I think. The problems with the game looked much deeper than just pushing it back a couple of months.
Re: New Xbox Feature Will Reveal Why Your Downloads Are Going Slow
Hmm. Until the quick resume feature is properly ironed out this seems a little unnecessary and half-baked.

Yeah that's pretty concerning tbf

Re: Xbox Is Listening To Your Feedback About Quick Resume On Series X|S
Must admit I'm a bit baffled that they needed feedback to realise this, but regardless it's still good to hear that improvements are in the works.

Re: Did You Know: Alexa Can Be Used To Control Your Xbox Series X
I did but it's not really something I'd ever use tbh.
Only time I make use of voice assistants like this is for sometimes changing music when I'm driving
Re: Pick One: Which Is Your Favourite Xbox Grand Theft Auto Game?
@Tharsman sadly not
Re: Tetris Effect: Connected Devs Working On Brand-New Game

@JetSetRennie I had that discount as well but thought it was just because my console came a day late?

I do want the blue one even though I definitely don't need 😂
Re: Pick One: Which Is Your Favourite Xbox James Bond Game?
Played a lot of Nightfire on PS2 back in the day

I've finally been playing A Plague Tale the last few days and really enjoying it (if enjoying is the right word for a game like this..)
I've been dipping in and out of Tetris Effect too and wanna check out Planet Coaster as well.
Game Pass continues to deliver.

Mine has been pretty smooth all things considered. My Series X (ordered from Game) came yesterday at about 2pm and the Series S came about half hour ago today from Amazon.
Re: Talking Point: What Are Your First Impressions Of The Xbox Series X|S?
It might be my favourite looking console ever.
Setup was simple, and although there's a little disappointment that the UI is the same (I miss that 'new' feel a little), overall it's nice to have most things just work straight out the gate and already be familiar with the layout.

Re: EA Play Joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Here's What's Included
EA Play is great. I think every type of gamer is catered for here with surely at least a couple of games of interest.
Re: Happy Xbox Series X|S Launch! Have You Received Yours?
It's coming between 12 and 4 apparently so could be any time now!
Re: Hardware Review: Xbox Series X - The Fastest, Most Powerful Xbox Ever

Nice! Also coming to Game Pass through EA Play soon too so should get a further boost of new/returning players
Re: The Retail Boxes For The New Call Of Duty Are Seriously Confusing
I still don't understand this at all. Why would anyone buy the Xbox One only version?
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Still Want To Know About The Xbox Series X|S?
Does remote play allow OG Xbox and 360 games to be played through it via the Series X/S?
