Football Manager Xbox Edition Arrives December 1st With Smart Delivery

Sports Interactive announced back in September that Football Manager would be returning to Xbox consoles for the first time in over a decade this December, and now we've got an official date of December 1st.

Football Manager 2021: Xbox Edition will be based on the Football Manager Touch experience - a streamlined version of the desktop classic, carefully redesigned for optimal performance with the Xbox controller.

That tailored user interface is also complemented by new features to the PC version of the game such as an improved matchday experience, additional stats and analysis tools, and spectacular trophy celebrations and post-match hype. You'll be able to play Online Career Mode, Fantasy Draft and Versus Mode with friends as well.

Football Manager 2021: Xbox Edition will reportedly run in native 4K on Xbox Series X and upscaled 4K on Xbox Series S and Xbox One X|S, with the next-gen Xbox Series X|S consoles also benefiting from the ability to select more playable nations, view highlights from league opponents, and receive more detailed and valuable stats.

In addition, the game benefits from Smart Delivery, allowing you to buy one version for all Xbox consoles. It also supports Play Anywhere, allowing you to carry your save between FM Xbox for console and FM Xbox for PC.

Based on Football Manager Touch, FM21 Xbox is fully optimised for victory with the Xbox Controller on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. You can effortlessly put yourself on the path to footballing greatness with a UI that has been tailored for Xbox consoles and makes navigating through the game world a breeze.

As for whether Football Manager 2021: Xbox Edition will be available on Xbox Game Pass? The official FM Twitter account is simply stating it has "no information on this at the moment", so we'll have to wait and see...
