Xbox Demo Fest Now Live, 40+ Games Available To Play For Free

The Xbox Demo Fest for 2026 has officially kicked off on the Xbox Store, allowing you to play over 40 games for free during the period from today (June 4th) to June 30th across Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Some of the games might not be live just yet, but they're part of the official list and are expected to appear imminently.

You should soon see a tab for the Xbox Demo Fest on your console's dashboard, but before then, you can either use the links below, navigate to the "demos" section of the Xbox Store, or simply search for the ones you want to try manually.

"As a reminder, these demos are early looks at games still in development, so the final versions may differ at launch, including availability by country as developers continue polishing their work."

Let's take a look at more details on all of the available demos in the Xbox Demo Fest 2026 so far:

• Active Matter Demo: "You’re an operative stuck in a time loop, always brought back from the dead to the same point. Choose your loadout and enter quantum unstable zones rich with active matter – the most valuable and the most dangerous resource in all multiverse. Fight against rivals from other timelines, survive physics-breaking anomalies and try to stay alive."

• Akatori Demo: "Welcome to the vast and mystical world of Akatori, a captivating blend of classic metroidvania and intense action platformer."

• Alpha Nomos Demo: "It’s time to wield the beat! Play as Cello and slice through an army of rogue puppets in a vibrant, melody-twisted world. Combat pulses to the soundtrack - time your moves to the beat to unleash show-stopping combos and perfectly choreographed chaos!"

• AWAKEN – Astral Blade Demo: "Weave your own story in this dark fairy tale. In the mysterious ancient ruins, you will adventure with Tania to reveal her origins and fate. Is there any chance of survival in the darkest and desperate place?"

• Bao Bao's Cozy Cleaning Services Demo: "Whether you're curled up with a podcast or just need something peaceful to help the world feel quieter, this gentle 2D pressure washing game is here for you. No timers, no stress, just pastel pixel art, soft sounds, and the satisfying swish of clean water."

• Canvas of Thoughts Demo: "Step into Evi’s world and explore her classroom, where everyday situations can feel overwhelming, unpredictable, or quietly comforting."

• Carry The Glass Demo: "Team up as two quirky construction workers in this fun 2-player co-op platformer! Carry a fragile glass window through colorful levels filled with challenges."

• Charlatan Demo: "Charlatan is a spooky roguelike slot machine where every spin is a turn – and cheating is the only way to survive. Build synergies, manage risk, and rig the reels with magnets, tickets, and stickers to flip the odds."

• 'Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit' Demo: "Help cute, ghostly bears find peace in this relaxing sequel to the beloved life-sim game where kindness rules and new crafting, building, and camping island adventures await."

• 'DESOLUS' Demo: "Explore a city of Gothic architecture torn between past and future in Desolus, a first person puzzle game."

• Die in the Dungeon Demo: "Fight your way through a mysterious dungeon in this deck-building, turn-based roguelike game where you don't use cards, but dice! Deal with enemies by combining powerful dice on your board, boost their effects with magical relics, and risk it all hoping for a good roll on unexpected encounters."

• Dodo Duckie Demo: "You’re a DUCK! with one special cap that gives you the power to switch between 2D and 3D. Use it to explore, switch perspectives, solve puzzles and save your chicken friends."

• Faeland Demo: "Begin your journey in Faeland, a handcrafted 2D action-adventure RPG set in a beautiful fantasy world inspired by the 8-bit classics."

• Farlands Demo: "Seeking a change in your life, you saw an offer you couldn't refuse; an entire planet at a bargain price! An old agrarian rock that's been abandoned for years in an outlying solar system. So with little more than your worn out ship you decide to embark on a new phase of your life in a lost corner of the galaxy."

• FIRE AND ASHES - DEMO: "Explore a decrepit asylum, cruel laboratories, and other horrific locations while facing enemies outside and demons within. Someone is guiding Henry deeper into insanity. Are they helping, or leading him to harm?"

• Kooeh: A Timeless Delight Demo: "A heartwarming cosy narrative-driven restaurant management game about rediscovering lost family recipes and reviving the family restaurant. The game embalms the Malaysian gastronomical culture with its rich history."

• K-pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut - Demo: "Manage your first six weeks as a K-pop manager by discovering trainees, scheduling their weekly training and activities, and guiding them toward debut success."

• Let’s Build a Dungeon: "Run a game studio your way and see how things develop in this multi-layered management sim and RPG builder from the creators of Let’s Build a Zoo."

• Lou’s Lagoon: "Take to the skies in your trusty seaplane on a heartfelt adventure across the tropical Limbo Archipelago."

• Moonbrella Demo: "Use a variety of umbrella tricks to ascend to the moon in this physics-based Metroidvania."

• Mori Carta Demo: "Mori Carta is a handless deckbuilding roguelike. Choose left or right on every card to adventure through stories."

• Nightmare Circus Demo: "Nightmare Circus is an action-adventure game where the player takes on the role of a Puppeteer trapped in the Nightmare Realm. Set out on a journey to find his friends and escape the nightmare!"

• NIMRODS Demo: "In a vast, inhospitable alien world, you are the expendable. Cloned from DNA for a single purpose: to test the most devastating, over-the-top, and downright absurd weaponry known to the galaxy."

• Nomori Demo: "You are Kiko, a curious girl stuck in a whimsical spirit world in trouble. Meet a colorful cast of characters that will challenge Kiko to see the world, and herself, from exciting new perspectives."

• Order Automatica Demo: "A dark roguelike auto battler played on a 3×3 ritual grid. Position your units, combine cursed relics, and unleash powerful synergies before the last candle burns out."

• Pieced Together Demo: "Pieced Together is a cozy scrapbooking game that takes you on a heartfelt journey about friendship and getting older. Sort items, solve gentle puzzles, and decorate the scrapbook as you uncover the story piece by piece."

• PIT OF GOBLIN Demo: "In this online horror co-op, you play as a scrappy goblin, scavenging dungeons, dodging traps, and fleeing monsters to feed the Goblin King-Queen."

• Pollito and Xiang Xiang: Adventure in the Forest Demo: "Play as both brothers at once (or in co-op mode with a friend!) in a colorful 3D semi-open world packed with chaos, creatures, and charm. Combine their unique abilities, help the inhabitants, collect resources, and uncover who caused the ship explosion."

• Reggie, His Cousin, Two Scientists and Most Likely the End of the World Demo: "Reggie's peaceful life is interrupted by a wild time-travel mission! Step into a playable hand-drawn animated story where you'll break physics to master the flow of gravity."

• Salvation: Echoes of War Demo: "Immerse yourself in a surreal third-person adventure set within the haunting depths of purgatory. You play as a war pilot trapped in a comatose nightmare, forced to confront his traumatic past."

• Souls of Bombarika Demo: "Souls of Bombarika is a supernatural adventure puzzle game where creativity shapes every encounter. Enter a haunting spirit world as Naksh, a young soul chosen to protect humanity from the chaos unleashed by the Bombarika brothers."

• Space Tail: Definitive Edition - Demo: "Every journey shifts the perspective – it grows with the traveler. Our game tells a story about self-exploration, transformation and understanding of the world around us."

• Starlit World - Demo: "In Starlit World, the sky has broken into floating islands, and the magic is fading away. Join Bo and Kikki on a big adventure to bring the light back!"

• Surfpunk Demo: "Work together to succeed against overwhelming odds, grab as much loot as you can, and escape in style by surfing a massive tsunami wave to become the most legendary surfer-pirates of the sea!"

• The Crimson Maid Demo: "The Crimson Maid is a narrative adventure that blends first-person exploration, visual novel storytelling, and light puzzle solving. Step into the shoes of Marius, a young cleric who returns to his childhood home after learning of his father's failing health."

• The Slormancer Demo: "The Slormancer is an epic 2D Action-RPG Dungeon Crawling game following a band of outcasts on their fight against hordes of enemies led by The Slormancer!"

• Treetopians Demo: "Treetopians is a cozy colony simulator where players build vertical villages in the treetops and care for a growing community of villagers with unique needs and personalities."

• Wrap House Simulator Demo: "In Wrap House Simulator, step into the delicious world of sizzling skewers, and perfectly wrapped lavashes! Manage your own wrap shop with your friends, from slicing meats to perfecting sauces, all while keeping impatient customers happy."
