Xcloud works well enough but playing on a phone will never really be my thing. If they can get it on iPad, then I'll be a lot more interested.
I'm mostly more excited to see when they bring the service to PCs and the Xbox console itself. That's when Xcloud really has the potential to take off imo.
I always get a bit disappointed that these kind of showcases aren't being first aired in 4K anymore. Appreciate times aren't ideal at the moment, but feels like we're going backwards.
Halo Infinite looks good Banjo Three-ie New Conker game (would even settle for another Project Spark at this point..) New Fable Battletoads is out at launch Hellblade 2 is out at launch Announcement of new 3rd person story-driven game similar to many of Sony's latest exclusives Something else new that catches my interest
50% of those and I'll be fully on board with the Series X.
Far Cry 6 but not massively hyped for any of them tbh.
I was somewhat interested in Valhalla when I heard about it being Nordic themed, but everything I've seen/heard so far hasn't really got me.
Similar with Watch Dogs Legion going to London. I was excited for an open world game in London, but again what they've shown so far hasn't appealed to me.
So I'm left with Far Cry, a franchise that I'd like to love but always find a bit too repetitive. This looks like pretty much another copy and paste revolution story, albeit with their highest budget voice actor yet.
There are already too many little labels and tags on game box art in general for my liking, so of course I'm not too happy with the giant "Optimized" logo taking up a good chunk of the case.
£65 for a yearly sports title is a bit too much imo. I don't mind a price rise for some games, but not every title is worthy of full price and an increase will only make that stand out more.
All bumping the RRP up does is gatekeep new releases, which I don't think is good for gaming as a whole. More people will just wait for sales
I've already got a bit of space either side of my TV where I'm planning to put the PS5 and Series X. At the moment my PS4 and Xbox are underneath it, so not sure what I'll do with that space if I move both previous consoles out. Maybe use it for some accessories or something
It's hard to describe exactly but I just want some fresh new titles that seem polished and look like they're ready to push the industry forward.
It sounds a bit pointless to ask them to exactly copy what Sony have done recently, but something along the lines of a God of War, Horizon, TLOU or Uncharted would be brilliant.
I wonder when about in 2021 this is planned. They seem quite slow in rolling out xCloud overall, so I'm imagining this upgrade coming at the back end of next year.
It's not a bad thing that they're taking their time though. This is a service they'll absolutely want to get right when they do fully launch it.
A little concerned they might somewhat ruin it with a tacky gimmick but hopefully they've learnt from what worked in the N.Sane Trilogy and can just repeat that gameplay for a brand new title.
Oh for sure. It was already something of an issue when the current gen launched with 500GB as standard, it's definitely gonna come up again here.
Hopefully though transfer speeds between external storage and internal will be quicker and Xbox's solution of custom expansion cards seems like that could be a good fix.
Horizon, R&C and Demon's Souls are all I needed to see. Those titles probably won't be there for launch or shortly after, but all 3 of those appeal to me more than anything Xbox have shown so far.
Hopefully Xbox can respond well in July. The bar has been raised.
Is probably the One X for me. I didn't get an original Xbox until much later, and while I loved the 360 early on, I did have 2 of the things break on me. More than half of that gen I was pretty much exclusively using a PS3 as well so there's that.
I probably don't get as much use out of it as I should but I really love the One X. I'm always impressed by how quiet it is. The graphical quality of something like RDR2 is notably above what the PS4 Pro can do. And as mentioned a lot the likes of Game Pass and back compat mean there's always something to check out on it.
I still don't see why they'd reveal this thing this year. Just seems like it would undermine the Series X, and if they were gonna have 2 skews you'd think they'd announce that earlier, not just tack one on a few months before release
Lonely Mountains Downhill was a surprise hit for me. It scratches that itch that a Tony Hawk's game would have but it's played at such a relaxing pace that I just find it an absolute joy to jump into even in short spells. There's plenty of challenge as well to keep you coming back for more

Re: Kylian Mbappe Revealed As FIFA 21 Cover Star
@Royalblues yeah. It's not quite the same as smart delivery as EA have put a window on the time you can redeem the Series X version.
Re: Kylian Mbappe Revealed As FIFA 21 Cover Star
Jeez that cover is a mess.
'Dual Entitlement' is also not something I ever thought would be used as a slogan on the front of a video game box haha
Re: Poll: What Are Your Plans For Tomorrow's Xbox Games Showcase?
Yeah, I'll be here!
Looking forward to it. I feel like this is the biggest showcase for Xbox yet.

Will be watching along here on Thursday though
Re: Battletoads, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition Rated In Australia
In for Battletoads!

Cuphead DLC release date? Or is that too wild?

Re: Overcooked! All You Can Eat Heads To Xbox Series X Later This Year
Remastered from the ground up is a bit of an oxymoron, isn't it?
Re: Phil Spencer: Xbox In Best Launch Lineup Position Ever With Series X
Launch with a new Banjo or Conker game or we riot, Phil. Don't mess this up!
Re: The Xbox Summer Demo Event Has Begun, 50+ Games Now Available
Very cool idea. Will try and check a few of these out at some point this week
Re: Project xCloud Isn't The Official Name Of Xbox's Game Streaming Service
Xbox Series Z Pocket Go Elite Lite Arcade Pro Edition One S
Re: Here's Some Xbox Series X Cover Art Without The Optimised Logo
Isn't having "smart delivery" on the box a bit redundant as well given that it's already listed for Series X and Xbox One?
The whole naming scheme is just a bit too weird.
Re: Project xCloud Joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate In September
Makes sense with the 8bitdo controller coming out then as well.
Very excited to see this continue to grow.
Re: Yearly Xbox Live Gold Subscriptions Removed From The Microsoft Store
Ooooh very interesting.
I definitely think they should phase out Live and make multiplayer gaming free, but would it work out financially well for them?
Do we know how Live subscribers they have?
Re: Kinda Funny Announces New Xbox Podcast
This is cool.
I respect Alanah quite a bit, Gary Whitta is good, and SnowBikeMike has a ton of heart and passion.
Hope it takes off. It's an exciting time for Xbox as well so obviously can see why a lot of people will be jumping into stuff like this

Re: Take A Closer Look At The Official Xbox Series X Box Art
Agree with the comments here.
There are already too many little labels and tags on game box art in general for my liking, so of course I'm not too happy with the giant "Optimized" logo taking up a good chunk of the case.
I feel like it's somewhat unnecessary as well.
Re: Can You Guess Which Games Phil Spencer Is Talking About?
3 out of 10 haha. Very tricky one this
Re: EA Sports UFC 4 Officially Revealed, Coming To Xbox One In August
Just make a boxing game ffs
Re: Pick One: Which Of These Would You Like Added To Xbox Game Pass?
Cuphead >
Already played it but would be happy for more people to get to try it out. I also thought it would've been on Game Pass by now
Re: Phil Spencer: Xbox Series X Being 'Held Back' Is A Meme Created By Console War Obsessives
He's not wrong to be fair.
Re: Rumour: Codenames Revealed For Various Upcoming Xbox Games
Hmm. Let's see what Valentina is all about then
Re: Poll: How Much Do Spiders Bother You In Games?
Interesting question.
I'm not a big fan of them in real life (not that scared either though). In games they do creep me out a little, but I'm generally fine with them.
The Outside Xtra videos where they get Ellen to rate how scary spiders are in games always cracks me up.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 27th)
Crash 2 is the best game in the series by far imo.
Re: Pick One: Which Of These Xbox Games Are You Most Excited For?
Voted Cyberpunk just purely for the sheer scale of it. It's set up to be one of the most important upcoming games.
Crash 4 speaks to me as it's something I've wanted for 20 years though.
Star Wars means nothing to me.
Re: Watch: Netflix Provides A Sneak Peak At The Cuphead Show
Cool to see this break out into more than just a game. There's definitely potential there.
Still anticipating the DLC
Re: Noire Adventure Night Call Has Been Added To Xbox Game Pass
Oooh quite like the sound of this.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The New Crash Bandicoot 4 Art Style?
I don't love it, but the gameplay is what I was hoping for so I can't complain too much. And maybe I'll come to love it if the game holds up
Re: Poll: Would You Eventually Like To See VR On The Xbox Series X?
Yeah for sure. It would be great to see another platform push the technology further and add competition to the VR market.
Re: Pick One: Which Of These Xbox Sports Games Would You Make Backwards Compatible?
SSX Tricky is probably more playable now but man 2K5 was so good at the time. Genuinely felt like watching a tv broadcast at the time
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 20th)
I downloaded Session on a trial the other day. Found it to be pretty poor tbh. Can see why it's still in game preview.
For a physics based skating game, it's just not tight enough and there's very little depth to it.
Re: Project xCloud To Reportedly Get Xbox Series X Server Upgrade In 2021
I wonder when about in 2021 this is planned. They seem quite slow in rolling out xCloud overall, so I'm imagining this upgrade coming at the back end of next year.

Hopefully though transfer speeds between external storage and internal will be quicker and Xbox's solution of custom expansion cards seems like that could be a good fix.
Re: Poll: Which Is More Important To You, Resolution Or Frame Rate?
Depends a lot on the game for me but generally I prefer better image quality and resolution over framerate
Re: Smart Delivery Will Be Enabled For Participating Xbox Game Pass Titles On Series X
This seems kinda obvious, does it not? They've been pushing Game Pass as an essential service for a while, would be weird if they left it behind now.
Still nice to see them reiterating their "smart delivery" system again though to hopefully spread the word a bit more.
Re: In What Year Were These Xbox One Games Released?
3 from 10..
Even got tricked by the RE3 one!
Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, How Do You Feel After Sony's PS5 Event?
Horizon, R&C and Demon's Souls are all I needed to see. Those titles probably won't be there for launch or shortly after, but all 3 of those appeal to me more than anything Xbox have shown so far.
Hopefully Xbox can respond well in July. The bar has been raised.
Re: GTA V Is Coming To Xbox Series X With Performance Upgrades And New Content
Oooooof course it is..
Re: Poll: Which Design Do You Prefer? Xbox Series X Or PS5?
I'm not really sure tbh. I think I like the design of both and they could complement each other well for people that are fortunate enough to get both.
Re: Poll: Which Has Been Your Favourite Xbox Console To Date?
Is probably the One X for me. I didn't get an original Xbox until much later, and while I loved the 360 early on, I did have 2 of the things break on me. More than half of that gen I was pretty much exclusively using a PS3 as well so there's that.

6 from 10 for me. I'm quite liking all these quizzes here and on PS
