I had played the original campaign through Game Pass when the game came out. I enjoyed it. I always said I would play this game again with another class at some point. So when this is bundle up with the original game I might buy this at some point when its on sale.

Pretty sure it was mentioned that the next Forza was Seriex X|S only. Old build of something that won't come to previous gen. Forza8 is not coming out this year. At best Q2 2023 imo.

This is why I like Nintendo's format of doing things. With very, very few exceptions they only announced stuff to be released within the next 12 months, sometimes stuff within the next 3 months. That`s how it should always be.

@WallyWest Exactly. GT4 was quite something at the time and is still imo the best GT game. The franchise has been going down since. On the other hand, Forza did the opposite. It just got better and better with each release. Haven't played GT7 but considering the track record since GT4, it's just not a priority for me anymore.

I don't know. They got money for doing absolutely nothing and let Microsoft do all the work. Sounds like a win to me. In the end I would suggest the main issues are in the soundtracks, branding, who owns right to what.

Well I still have a few digital games bought on the 360 that never made the B/C cut so hopefully at least one of them will pop. I expect however if its OG that it will likely be inhouse releases like MechAssault or Blood Wake (which I'm fine with both). Of course, if all of this is actually true.

I like wired headsets. I don't have to remember to recharge all the time. Also these works on pretty much everything that supports 3.5 mm jacks

Automatic updates so I'll be good to go when I get home tonight. People will have to get used to this game having heavy updates - its the nature of this game.

Many don't realize that there are a lot more Gold Members than actual Game Pass members. The need for GP is not present for many people as they have their own games/backlog to play. I have GP right now but only because of the promos they have done lately on it which came cheaper than Gold. Gold was all I needed with the amount of games I own. Hence I voted 2025+

The sniper fix is nice. Cause like when you play on Master difficulty and have five snipers aiming at you while everyone else is shooting at you; well you pretty much put that area on Easy and say goodbye to potential good gear.

Glad I haven't played it yet. Will hold until this summer to play on Series X

If its like what they did for other older StarWars games like Republic Commando, Jedi Outcast, etc, then I`m not interested. I probably have a better version with my digital copy of the original XB game which is enhanced on XB Series X.

I approve. It's one things that Sony got right in their whole trophy system. A score nowadays doesn't mean much. When you played so many games and can't recall how many you 100% on achievement without having to do a search for them.

The only thing that doesn't work here is the rare achievement score. These are modular and go with how many people playing the game unlocked it. In other words, rare one day and common the next.

Yup. Have issues with an unresponsive A button. I registered my controller a couple days ago and about to call customer support to see what they can do. Some people said you need to send back the controller while other managed to just get a new one shipped while they kept the old one. Hope to get this resolved one way or another as this really has put a dent in my enjoyment of Series X.

Good! Not every game needs a multiplayer option. I find that its a feature that drains a lot more resources than it should for the little gain it actually gives for games intended really for single player only.

I'm sure they will do visual enhancements like some of these ports have had in the past. But hey, I`ll just consider it as another Original Xbox title on my XBSX

The decision was mind boggling for sure...so is the super quick reversal. I see it more as throwing the ball and see what happens to test waters. They already had a response.
That being said, doing this test now when you just released a new console, you want new players and you are in a middle of a pandemic wasn't the smartest thing to do. I do believe they want to make a lot of changes to the whole GP and Gold this year to merge in 1 service, not tiers. I think it would of went through a lot easier if MS would of said they are ending gold only for new subs. People that have it can keep it. Everyone else on GP.

Ironically, for my XB1 I never actually had a black controller. I had bought the Sunset Overdrive bundle which was a White XB1 with a white controller. My second controller is the special Halo edition controller (which I still use for my XBSX).

But as per the question, given those facts, I love my Carbon Black controller lol. The second XBSX controller...I will wait until some themed ones come. I'm fine for now.

IMO the release of this game came at the worst time. A game clearly meant for next gen but released in between gens. We would not have this conversation if the game would be released 18 months from now.

BUT - These types of game...they are massive and its impossible to have it bug free. It's not being apologetic, its just based on big world game historical facts. That being said, I'm going to wait until the XSX patch next year before I grab this game. By then, I'm sure a good chunk of these bugs will be gone.

Had this issue since the release of XB1. Mostly resolved by connecting directly with an ethernet cord. However, the odd times that a game won`t load faster than 1mb even through ethernet. I don`t get it. Still happens with Series X. But I will say that this isn`t limited to XB. PS4 has downloading issues every time you do something else on the console. Unless its on rest mode, it will never be at its full download speed.

@Medic_Alert There's no qualitative research done here, just quantitative. There is a lot of research that needs to be done through surveys, interviews, etc. Doing reports from such subjective and biased source - whom posters all who have their own agenda - discredit the report in a whole.

It's true that as major concentration of ratings, Metacritic is the number one spot, but there is no moderation on that site and its a free-for-all. I applaud the user for what he tried to do but using Metacritic is just as worthless than using Wikipedia and not checking your sources. Still, there are parts of that reports, aside from the ratings that is good and it does give a confirmation of what many of us users have been feeling about the service and that's good.

But man, people need to stop using Metacritic or any review site that allow users to post anything without being moderated.

Glad I always hold off buying games on their initial release date. I see even changing generation, this s*** is getting worst. Fact that you even pay more for a game now is a f******* slap in the face.

Hoping this game doesn't get canned. Maybe the ambitions for it didn't work so much for XB1 and PS4 but are more realistic with XBSX and PS5.

@nessisonett Lol, I know the feeling. I'm early in my 40s and the gray hair is slightly starting to show.... /cry . 2 kids will do that to you...BUT, I wouldn't have it any other way!

I really enjoyed that commercial. A lot of nostalgia came up when I watched this. It wasn't just for Xbox but for consoles in general. From when I received my first NES on Christmas to when I paid with my own money for the SNES and when me and my buddies made the line for PS2 all the way to a year ago when my son got his Switch.

@themightyant Pretty sure Enslaved is B/C. Was part of the last batch. But yeah, Eternal Sonata would be great. I woulnd't hold my breath on any racing/sports games though.

This has already been covered when they stopped adding b/c to XB1. It was clear back then that they were simply taking a break to make everything so far b/c on XBSX. So when that is done and smooth, I assume they will continue to add the titles devs and pubs allow them to bring over.

Crunch is the norm on pretty much any project if you have been hitting delays. Doesn't matter the profession, if you have a deadline and can't meet it then you need the extra hours to wrap up. Its not fun but when you sign up for ANY project in ANY sector then expect this. I won't even go in discussing nurses, emergency services, teachers, and others that put a whole lot more than an extra 8-10 hours a week. So if you can't deal with crunch time, then go to something insignificant.

@BlueOcean All I have to say is that I'm so f***ing glad I decided to just buy 90% of my third party games only on XB1. That decision is paying off.

In Canada, that means most people will pay over 100$ for a game if you include sales taxes. It's becoming a novelty to own a game on day 1. But, considering I hardly ever do and wait until a game goes under 30$, I mean whatever, good for the suckers that play half ass completed games. But for sure, GamePass wins here and for sure whenever I get a Series X (which will not be any time soon), I'm signing up for game pass to play some of the latest games.

You know what woud sell the Series S even more? If you had the option to buy an external disc drive.

If this is a currency issue then it would make sense. Regarding the on going rumor of free online: There is no smoke without a fire. With GamePass on PCs, Smartphones, tablets and consoles, some services need to be streamline. But you also have players out of Game Pass playing the same games on some of these devices. So how do you bring them all together? Free MP. Anyways, my two cents.

@BlueOcean The difference here is that Xbox is already BC all the way to OG Xbox, while PS5, it will likely only be PS4 so the impact isn't as much felt for users. I do think S is also best value for sure but I see it more for the casual user who will likely just use Gamepass for 80% of his games. But yeah, its Series X for me as well whenever I pick one up.

I'm not surprised about the "no disc drive" spec. However it gets me thinking that this becomes actually a lesser console than Xbox One X. Can't play 4k movies, disc based games that are B/C don't work. Also the balance of the specs...I can't help but think that you might as well of just made an Xbox One X "Pro" or something. Anyways, its all rumours so far.

Achievements are a cool thing when you love the game and want to continue playing beyond just finishing the game. Some games, ex: Burnout Paradise, as just a perfect fit for them. That being said, it's not "live or die" when it comes to achievements for me.
I would love to see Nintendo come with their own Achievement/Trophy system but it is not a deal breaker for me.

@Menchi At the same time, do you often hear of a PC player saying "Oh I wish I could use a PS4 controller"? Very rare. I hear it more for Switch than PS4 which personally I think Switch Pro Controller is a better controller than the PS4...but that's just me. In the end though, I still game on PC with a XB360 controller...cause it just works...no bs.

@S1ayeR74 And that is the current thinking of users who want more accessibility to gaming but use iOS. I don't play on my phone so I doubt I would change that but tablet wise, I'm changing in 18-24 months and depending on how things go, I might just go from iOS to Android.

@Dezzy70 I don't think Halo will be delayed that much. Probably max Q2. Forget Forza in 2021, we won't see that one until 2022.

Anyone not stocked for XBSX has not been paying attention. Although I won't be getting one at launch I will eventually get one down the line.

@mousieone Well Steam Link is on there now so I assume at some point it will come as well. However, whenever I change my iPad, I will seriously consider going the Samsung route.

@Medic_Alert Yes. The selling of consoles is not as important anymore for Microsoft as it once was. They've been building this huge eco system since before Win10 was released and now this is the result. Now if Apple could get off their pedestal and allow Project Xcloud on iOS that would be great. If not, my next tablet will likely be an Android tablet.
