We're now just a few short days away from the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on Tuesday, July 27, and the first gameplay footage is just beginning to roll out.
The video above is one of the first that was posted to YouTube earlier today (by MrNightlife), highlighting over three hours' worth of footage from the Xbox Series X version. From what we've seen of it, the game appears to be running well and looking fantastic, which has got us even more excited for Tuesday!
Ahead of the previews, Windows Central's Matt Brown also had this to say about the Xbox versions:

Needless to say, there's a lot of excitement surrounding the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Game Pass for console next week, so fingers crossed there aren't any technical hiccups come next Tuesday.
Update: Here's further footage of Flight Sim on Xbox Series X from Windows Central:

I've never really seen the appeal of flight sim but I guess the market is pretty big it being on gamepass means that most will at least fly over there house
@Kopite I'll probably fly over my house then crash into my neighbours garden and uninstall the game, right in time for a cuppa tea and some Ascent. Maybe, MAYBE, I'll have a biscuit.
Got Tuesday night and Wednesday off for this. Can't come soon enough
Wow...some of the detail is incredible. Didn’t watch the whole of the top video (3 and a half hours long!) but I skimmed through it and when he’s flying over New York I thought wow...this is running on a console?!?! Roll on Tuesday, cos my flight is booked!
@Kopite that's the closest any of us will come to flying or seeing these places "live". if you like planes that a big deal
@Kopite you could honestly say that about any game, really, sports and racing games, for sure. Probably most shooters, considering they use the same "left stick move, right stick look, left trigger ADS, right trigger shoot". It just comes down to what you enjoy. People dont have to understand or explain.
@Doctorwhoooourgh I wouldn't mind crashing a real plane into my neighbours house 😄
@SplooshDmg I remember going into an IT class at school and the teacher was playing in said he arrived early to fly to France and back
@PhhhCough I never said people have to explain I personally have never understood the appeal its a niche game.
@demian Yeah I completely get that, especially in the current state of the world
Im in that camp of install, crash into all of my enemies houses, my work office, rival teams football stadia then uninstall 🤣
My computer could not run it so I'm really looking forward to finally playing this on XSX.
Do we have to take COVID tests before fly?
@Kopite
@Senua I didn't say it looks boring or that it isn't fun, don't get triggered because I said I never seen the appeal personally. I even say that Gamepass will make more people try it which could make it even more popular.
@The_New_Butler I'm not under any illusion of how big it is its survived decades, I actually said its a big thing because of the current state of the world. I never said it was bad, not fun or a waste of time just that I don't get its appeal, it coming to console is only going to grow it even more and being on gamepass will introduce new players to it.
This game is amazing. I can visit places I've always wanted to see. It craps on my 2080ti though. I'll be impressed if the XSX can maintain a fairly solid 30 fps. Love setting this game on autopilot and just look around while I listen to podcasts or something.
