I discovered ReCore through GamePass. I really had a lot of fun with it. There were a couple bugs that got annoying at the end of the game but overall it was a nice experience. I would definitely play a sequel if one was made.
If it happens, which I hope it does, it's going to be interesting to see what Sony does. I doubt they would have any choice unless they push PSNow and say PS+ is included in the price (much like GP Ultimate is right now). But, even that, they would lose quite a bit of credibility and that would switch more than one over to XB. Nintendo, being Nintendo would probably not change anything at this point. There are so few games to play online anyways, what you pay for is pretty much to access NES and SNES online.
The first thing they should do is bring the balance of their own titles such as MechAssault and Bloodwake from OG Xbox. AND.....Eternal Sonata would nice
The reason why, whenever I go into next gen, it will be with Xbox first. At this point, given Sony's b/c track record and their shaky b/c promises for PS5, all of my third party titles are bought on Xbox.
@themightyant First difference is that this service has no new day and date releases like GamePass. Second difference is that it's their response to B/C.....BUT you have to pay for it. Third difference: it's more expensive and does not even include an option to have PS+ bundle up like Ultimate - only PS Now titles will work for online multiplayer. Fourth difference: the Streaming quality has not improved, its just bad. So yeah, it my eyes it will remain a joke of a service. It was a joke prior to game pass and that has not changed.
The good stuff is that the download of some titles is a good step forward but its still limited. The addition to have PC games to the service is good as well. That being said, its not enough to convince me to sign up for it. If they want to compete with GamePass they are going to have to completely overhaul it.
@themightyant I was a huge critic of PS+ ; even more so when they dropped the Vita and the PS3. But after a few months the quality of release did start showing up so I can't complain. The difference though is that they don't have GamePass (cause you know PS Now is a joke) but if they did I'm certain what we are seeing with GwG would be the same with PS+.
So this tells me that development for games is very likely a lot easier with Xbox than on PS5 since it's closer to PC. This, in the mid to long run will, be a huge advantage for Microsoft.
I knew it. Once they started doing controller layout schemes it was just a matter of time. Also a reminder that Mike Ybarra left Xbox to become Exec. Vice President of Blizzard. It all fits together.
People complaining about visuals when they are watching 1080p stream on a mobile device with potentially bad internet depending where they are. Nice! lol My take in this is that Microsoft wasn't fully ready to show this but the pressure was on so they went ahead. But again, would it of mattered? Haters will hate as usual. Personally, I don't have any problems with the graphics. With the XB1/PS4/Switch, I'm at this spot now that I don't even need better visuals. I just want awesome memorable game play and a great story.
@carlos82 Maybe Demon's Soul but I don't believe for a minute that GT7 will be at launch. Their track record (no pun intended) since the GT5 has been awful. I think its further along than having to wait until the end of the gen to get it but I don't see this one being released until at best Holiday 2021. Anyways, I don't really care about that franchise anymore. Last good one was GT4.
@KratosMD What I'm seeing from PS fanboys right now is the same three games Zero Dawn, Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank . Aside from Spiderman which isn't a full fledge game, the other two are not coming out any time soon. Frankly aside from Horizon, nothing is motivating me to get a PS5. There were so many Ratchet games on the PS3 I got sick of them. The balance of what had interested me on their presentation is coming to XB right away or later on cause of a timed exclusivity.
Reading some comments here, I think people forget that they already did one showcase (or whatever you want to call it), there is the one of today and there will be another one when they are ready to announce pricing. We'll probably see more. Add to it the stuff 3rd parties announced - that's a lot of games to play AND the console is BC on top. I'm not buying either consoles at launch. I will likely wait until the second iteration of them (slim). However if I chose today, for the overall package, its easily Xbox.
B for me. Nothing blew me away but there are games there for everyone. Not all games need to be guns and gore. Also that all these games are coming to GamePass in impressive. I think it gives a clue of a bigger selection of games soon (more than 100).
The whole free games thing is going away next gen and it will start with Microsoft as they have GamePass. The focus is there now and I wouldn't be surprised to see a new type of membership appear between the price of XBOX Gold and GamePass Ultimate for console players only.
@FraserG Didn't realize that. I thought it was still around. I just looked at Amazon.ca and there is nothing that lists the S nor X as discontinued. Amazon should really find a way to clean up in their SKUs.
The problem with listings on Amazon is that they have multiple listings of the same items and often updated them depending on the SKU numbers. This rumor at best might be correct for the original Xbox One short term. The S version will still be kicking for at least 18 months. When it comes to the X version, I guess it will depend on what Lockheart really is.
Ok so: 1) To replace XB1X 2) For people who at someone point in the next 24 months would like to upgrade but don`t have 4k equipment. 3) For people also on a budget (which in my mind confirms the $499 USD price point for Series X)
This makes sense as I doubt we will see new releases being released on both XB1 and Series X for more than 18 months after the console`s launch.

Love playing Warhammer games. Some are good, some are bad but there is always something special about Warhammer.

@redd214 I was surprised that Forza would not be ready at launch. Not a big deal but we are used to seeing Forza launch with every console so lol.
