Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Is Getting A Free Xbox Series X Upgrade This Summer

After being rated for Xbox Series X in Germany last month, the team over at StarWars.com has announced today that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is officially getting a free upgrade for all next-gen consoles this summer.

No details have been announced as of yet, but we're assuming EA will provide more information soon. The next-gen version is said to "bring a number of technical improvements" to the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions.

"Coming this summer, we’re excited to announce the next-gen release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, bringing a number of technical improvements to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions of the game. This will be a free cross-generation upgrade to current owners."

Previously, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order did receive a performance patch which brought the game up to a higher dynamic resolution and frame rate, but the game has still been running via backwards compatibility up until now.

In addition, it's been revealed that a massive Star Wars sale will be taking place on Xbox starting tomorrow and running through Tuesday, May 4th. So, if you've been holding out for some Star Wars games, maybe wait until tomorrow!
