Discount on Cyberpunk 2077. HAHA. Too soon?

@Bobobiwan WHy pay full price for a game then not play for six months? Even if you pre-ordered, they are offering full refund. If you are that worried about bugs, get a refund and buy again in six months, when the price will likely have dropped. If not - put it on and play it.

@Bloodborne75 HAHA. Only got the X1X last christmas (Wife bought it for me). Would be tricky to explain 'another' new Xbox sat by the TV

I'm slightly puzzled. You stated in the review "...returning to Night City once it's been updated to its final next-gen form in order to pass a fair final judgment" and later "The Series X version may well perform better than the frankly shocking last-gen console efforts..."

Assuming "next gen" is Series X and "last-gen" is Xbox One, what is the current gen? Xbox One X? If so, how is it on this 'gen'?

I'm still using my 'upgrade from gold' and 3 months free from MS rewards. Just a few hundred short from another 3 month free now. Depending on price, I might consider the family option but I'm also considering letting game pass expire as I don't play enough games to justify it.

@Bloodborne75 I'm glad you say cyberpunk 2077 is running on XB1X okay. I want to get it but am in no position to shell out for a XSX right now.

This wasn't even on my radar until a few weeks ago, so I was not aware of the delays prior to release. After reading the comments about poor performance on older consoles, I was wary (I have an X1X). This response (to me) seems like they are trying to put right the issues of a 'less than great' release with patches or refunds, which seems fair. Anyone remember the piss-poor effort by Ubisoft a few years ago with Assassins Creed which resulted in a choice of free game? I stupidly got the ***** driving game, which was so crap I don't even remember the title.

I can totally understand why folks are annoyed at paying £50 on release day for a buggy release. It's one of my peevs with new games. Test the bloody thing properly before releasing! I'll probably watch out for the patch(es) and see if this makes the game more playable as I'm not looking to buy an XSX at the moment.

Looks like I'll be waiting to play this on my One X.

Where's the "none of the above" option?

I played a lot of Forza Motorsport in the past, but Horizon has improved so much! I recently installed FM7 and forgot how frustrating it was to not be able to free roam.

If GTA V is consistently in the top 10, why would they release a new game? If it ain't broken, don't fix it

@LtSarge I completely agree with your point. I'm not siding with either, just laughing at the statement by Phil Spencer when both companies are guilty of fuelling the flames.

It does make me smile that he says this after MS promoted the Xbox One as "The World's most powerful console" in every advertisement, over and over again. LOL If that wasn't a dig at Sony, I'm a monkey's uncle!

I wish the campaign was longer on these games. I'm not into MP, so it's a lot to shell out for 5 hours play. I'll pass.

This paragraph has me sold! I saw a few early trailers and it looked like the 'mass' battles were taking over. Love a bit of old school sneak/stab style AC. Added to my Xmas list, although I will be playing on my One X...no Series X for me (yet).

Crikey. I'd forgotten I even played WD2. Had to check my achievement list to remind me. I remember the games had potential to be great, but ended up being a bit 'meh'.

Downloaded Doom Eternal via the app. I really need to get on with the games i have started and not finished...but it's Doom with BFGs!

Tough one between 3 and 4, but 4 edged it for me as it's UK based. They are all good games though.

To be honest I'm really bored of the constant competition between them. First Sony then MS waving their dicks in the air over who has the best games/most powerful console.

Sick of all the 'exclusive games'. I'm not buying a console just to play games (or content). Lost interest in this game now due to the corporate BS.

Anyone know if they count towards achievements? I hope not as I have too many single achievement titles that I have no intention of revisiting.

Glad to see demos again. I've bought some games in the past and regretted it almost immediately. Destroy all humans was on my wishlist so I may give this a blast to decide if I want to buy it or not.

Not happy about this. i've only got game pass at the moment as it was cheap. Buggered if I'm paying full price for it as I rarely download the games.

I agree with @TimG13. I've played all the main AC games but have noticed a change in style with the more recent additions. This (to me) doesn't look anything like an 'Assassins' game. Sadly this isn't on my wishlist. Maybe I'll be swayed by actual reviews once it releases, but based on what I've seen, it's a no from me.

I imagine this would be a swine to play on an Xbox controller...four buttons? If it's anything like the version I played (decades ago) it'll need a keyboard. Still might have a play though cos it looks SO good.
