Having a blast playing THotD4 in the local arcade years ago particularly because of that huge & badass gun controller. As great as joycon is, can't see it provide close the immersiveness of the arcade gun controller let alone imagining the step down in gameplay experience by playing in handheld mode or with standard console controller. Really it's such a perfect game for arcade gaming system.
You can't deny that Xbox have some really great innovations this gen but ultimately from my point of view, XGP has become the very soul of Xbox today. So the answer is simply no.
@Trainer lol just like some buffoons in previous articles basically saying that Xbox near future will be streaming only 😂
Xcloud will serve as an option and NOT replacing native hardware gaming with Xbox consoles for a very, VERY LONG TIME for obvious reasons: Cloud gaming simply isn't viable for A LOT of people in the foreseeable future. Latency aside, a lot of countries (mainly developing ones like where i live) don't have fast enough internet (that's accessible for most people) for things like good & enjoyable cloud gaming. Even what i consider as good & enjoyable cloud gaming is still far cry from native console gaming experience because of myriad of reasons.
What a bummer that Series S is left out in some titles. While 120fps is great, i mainly care about of FPS Boost as a way of enhancing games from 30fps to 60fps. Does all of the titles mentioned above already 60fps on Series S?
He should try the Gamecube version instead. Runs better and controls are easier to map. Just increase the rendering resolution in retroarch setting so the game looks better than the wii.
@SegataSanshiro because there are no updates regarding that other than "being actively researched right now" said by Jason Ronald sometime ago in a podcast i forgot. People also need to see the upscaling quality of DirectMLSR on Xbox before they are sold by the idea.
Really wish MS get it on the level of DLSS 2.1 or better when it's ready to be used by developers. Any worse than that (DLSS ≤1.9) then i gladly take native 900p or lower.
Haven't play this in years but last time i played it, you need to acquire specific amount of car fragments before you get the said car. And the good one(upper rank A, S, beyond) only available in gacha or in the impossible-to-win event. Definitely need to pull for few times and can't rely on my luck with single 1x10 pull. That's what make me eventually drop the game.
I'm used to SE games being multiplatform so anyone buying them up and make their games exclusives doesn't feel right for me. But damn Sony for FF timed exclusivity and SE themselves for some of their new games and remasters not appearing in Xbox day one or at all (not so bad though since i can get them on PC). Phil somehow needs to fix that. Maybe injecting ***** load amount of money to SE as investment will do the job.
Hopefully the Intergrade one will come to Xbox day one or not far from that and it's fine if it's not on game pass day one. But cynic in me won't be surprised if Sony somehow manage to secure an exclusivity deal of Intergrade and Xbox Series and One only got the PS4 version.
Whatever their respond is, still doubt they will instantly drop all of their released first party titles in there let alone day one release on the service.
@Krzzystuff not really lifetime as it only lasts for 40 years. But damn, that's like 5 generations worth of years and dude probably would had enough of gaming when his prize subscription ends.
Performance is terrible based on recent DF video. Especially on Series S where it can't even reach 60fps and just maxed out at 54-55fps and drop hard to 40s in those areas where you have to destroy few tanks.
@UltimateOtaku91 if we're talking only on flagships then Galaxy S7 is the last from Samsung to have 16:9 aspect ratio. Others might have did it first but i only remember that S8 was the first one to start with wider-than-widescreen aspect ratio trend on Android phones.
Dunno about Stadia but that just how it is playing 16:9 games on wider screens. Unless MS somehow can implement a tech on xcloud system level that let these games have dynamic aspect ratio, then it's black bars left and right.
@stuie123 dude you only get 30fps on Series S atm, running at 4K though since it's basically enhanced BC. While on Series X the game runs at 4K and 60fps.
The publisher themselves won't do anything more about enhanced BC version of the game and you NEED the native Xbox Series version if you want 60fps Wreckfest experience on Series S.
@TheFrenchiestFry yes, but you can emulate it on Xbox One/Series using Retroarch. Playable on Series consoles only it seems due to being more powerful machines.
It would be great if these games get remastered with higher quality assets + higher framerate but at least they still can be played on latest Xbox consoles thanks to the beauty of Backwards Compatibility. Ironically, the only modern consoles that can play Mistwalker's other JRPG, The Last Story, are Xbox too.
@Thaliard yeah i assume you can't do it too. I know nothing of ROM dumping and modding but just amazed at what community modders can do with games released on console, which are more restricted compared to PC game modding. Recent news like some group are making their own expansion content for BOTW is just exciting to see and follow. What modders can do with more restricted modding environment compared to PC is kind of the reason i thought that you can somehow recover the source code by dumping the ROM, lol.
Also if that's possible, wouldn't that make crazy amount of possibilities? Like you can port any console exclusive games to PC or any platform you want.
That $10 billion is really too much for something i barely care about. Others might find this acquisition "exciting" but i rather want MS to use that money to acquire more dev studios or invest those money in 3rd party studios to generate more IPs. All i care is more games, games, and games on Xbox.
But $10 billion probably amount to nothing to MS' seemingly infinite amount of money. This acquisition probably won't affect them financially at all and they have another $50 billion lying around somewhere for acquiring more dev studios.
The outrage is still justified imo considering fans who play using PC have been supporting the game since day one Steam release. Yes you can mod it very quick to resolve most of the issues but why? SE & Platinum as a dev should be responsible for ensuring optimal gaming experience across all platforms and it's still within one PC platform. No reason for the game to offer different experience just because it was delivered via different storefront.
@Beasley2K It's still a shady timed-exclusivity that ***** up definitely more than half of the established fanbase of existing game franchises whilst providing absolutely zero benefit to (insert your beloved platform here) gamers as we would have still gotten future (insert that name of publisher here) games DAY ONE. Obviously the studios are going to say good things about this because they're not going to want to lose their jobs for criticizing being given that sweet timed-exclusivity money by (insert your beloved platform company here).
Based on the game popularity, devs should have enough money now to fund the process of porting the game to PS4 & XB1. No reason for this game to not appear on those platforms.
I don't play the game but it seems the feature make the process much simpler and easier. Smh there is no reason for sony to not making the equivalent of smart delivery for PS5.

Dynamic backgrounds should be community centered thing. It's too slow and long for MS to do all the work and catering to everyone's taste & liking.
