I am glad Dishonored 2 isn't leaving now! I have been wanting to play that one for a while now, and with Microsoft's acquisition of Zenimax and all their studios, it doesn't look like I will ever have to worry about it leaving ever again.
The growing list of perks is pretty impressive! Unfortunately though, each one of them don't really interest me since I don't play the games or have use for the services they are involved with. I kind of wish they would offer free dlc packs to popular games of this current generation. That would be far more valuable to me.
40 bucks is pretty high for me, considering the value of Game Pass hut I hear the quality of this series is pretty high as well. Perhaps on a discount I will bite.
I think I will be fine with that amount of free space. Like I mentioned in other articles, I usually install my games, play them, then uninstall them. So I think I will be fine. Especially with my solid internet speed.
I don't really think there is much on that list that has me excited at the moment, though I am not getting the console straight at launch anyway. At least when I do get the console, I will have Xbox Game Pass so I will have plenty to choose from.
That is significantly quicker! Pretty impressive considering I have played some of the games listed above and they did take too long to load for my tastes.
I don't typically buy multiplayer shooters these days, so I probably won't be getting it. I do like seeing a fresh take on an already saturated genre though!
My favorite memories from the game were playing coop with my brother throughout the campaign, and helping each other beat it on legendary. That game had some of the best coop elements back in the day, only matched for me by Gears of War 1.
I am willing to wait however long it takes to play the next Halo game, and I want it to be the absolute best it can be. Just give me that feeling of astonishment the first time I played Halo 3 on Xbox 360. I am willing to take a hit, and wait a while longer for a new Halo game to get that feeling again, and I definitely don't want Halo's reputation to go down the toilet. It was a pivotal franchise back in the Xbox/Xbox 360 era, and it still has a place in today's gaming landscape.
I am also happy that Microsoft has enlisted a bunch of Halo developer veterans to help make the game the best it can be. They clearly really care about this ambitious project. I wouldn't mind waiting until early 2022 for a game that will blow my mind. I am a patient guy. I have the Master Chief Collection to enjoy in the meantime.
I actually used to be the guy who turned his nose up at the idea of playing his games all digitally, but these days, I don't like the clutter of physical games, except for game franchises I am a huge fan of. This service has been a godsend for my wallet, and my clutter in my house.
Bethesda used to be my absolute favorite video game developer back in the day. For me, their name was synonymous with amazing open world games that I could play endlessly. I still feel like they are that same company, though like others have said in this article, they have been stumbling a little bit. Fallout 76 was launched to a lukewarm reception, and even though Fallout 4 was generally well liked, it wasn't considered an instant classic for most people like their earlier games. I hope that being under Microsoft's banner, they can have the resources they need to be the best Bethesda they can be. That is what I want for them, and all the other studios under Zenimax.
Asobo would definitely be a good purchase, but besides that one, I am pretty far behind on what studio makes what game these days. I will just trust Microsoft's judgement on studio selection.
Knights of the Old Republic, or Morrowind for the original Xbox! Morrowind especially because of the Zenimax recent purchase! I know it isn't going to happen though! Beyond that, I would love Ghost Recon Wildlands or Breakpoint!
I completely get what they were going for and I think the nailed it. Regardless of the "fridge memes that were poking fun at the Xbox Series X, I think they made a good design decision, and I was happy with the look from the get go. It will be a simple, good looking, powerful console on my tv shelf.
I would be thrilled if they bought Sega, but I don't think this is very likely. Especially when the rumors are just based on a controller being blue. But if it did happen, the possibilities would be endless. I don't think it is going to happen though, I am just happy with the Zenimax purchase.
Well. this news has convinced and cemented my decision of getting an Xbox Series console for the next generation, but not necessarily at launch. I still have a bunch of Xbox One games to play.
The next gen version looks quite good though I don't really enjoy horror games. I will probably be looking for a different game as my true next gen experience.
