Indie multiplayer shooter Shotgun Farmers has got off to an incredible start since launching on Xbox One this past Friday, rocketing to the top of the paid games chart on Xbox One in the US.

It's an unexpected triumph for solo developer Wase Qazi of Megastorm Games, who celebrated the success on social media platform TikTok, acquiring over 300,000 likes in the process:

Shotgun Farmers itself is a budget online multiplayer shooter where missed shots literally grow new guns for other players to wield, and the game is packed with various game modes and cosmetics. It first released on Steam for PC all the way back in early 2019, and holds an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on the platform.

If you want to check out the game for yourself, it's available for £8.39 / $9.99 on the Microsoft Store.
