We've been hearing rumours about a potential new Crash Bandicoot game for quite a while now, and it looks like it could be announced very soon. Various influencers and journalists have revealed that they received a mysterious Crash Bandicoot package earlier this week.

The package contains a 200-piece puzzle that reads, "a little something to help you pass the TIME - your favourite bandicoot." When completed, it reveals a masked character that has never appeared in the Crash franchise before, but some fans have suggested it might have featured in a Sony Game Awards trailer back in 2019.

This practice of sending out mysterious packages ahead of an announcement is nothing new for the Crash franchise in recent years, so it's a safe bet to assume a new game is on the way. Will it be multi-platform or a timed PlayStation exclusive like the N. Sane Trilogy was back in 2017? We'll have to wait and see.

What are you hoping to see from the next Crash Bandicoot game? Let us know in the comments.
