@Titntin realistically games made for ps4 and Xone with no Ps5 and XSX version that get ported to NS2 should run and play best on NS2 since it’s the most powerful of the 3 (it’s a ps4 pro/Xone X with DLSS support) so Tomb Raider 2013 should’ve been a slamdunk on NS2.
The NS2 version being significantly worse than ps3 and 360 is just insanely lazy.

It’s a shame FM8 wasn’t given a second chance through a Ps5 port. It deserved better.
I’ve always been a PlayStation/Nintendo fan(girl) but Forza is still my reason to get an Xbox. To many it’s Halo and Gears but to me Forza (and Fable) is what Xbox is.

At this point they’ll remake Survivor, Dead Aim and Degeneration before they’ll remake Code Veronica.

@fatpunkslim I mean CostCo and EB Games actually pulled their Xbox offerings worldwide just last month.
It’s not weird to think more stores will follow.

@kezelpaso Ninja Gaiden 4 is not a first party game. It’s developed by Team Ninja, Platinum Games and Koei Tecmo. Microsoft only does the publishing. It’s like calling Dragon Quest 11 a first party Nintendo game because Nintendo published it on Switch.

@BAMozzy it’s sad and completely unnecessary. When children do it I understand, they can’t just go “I’ll play on everything and then some” but adults (that aren’t in a poor financial situation) absolutely have the ability to play on anything and no reason to argue out of brand loyalty.

Saw a post on r/gamecollecting recently about a guy saying with rumors the next xbox is all digital they feel like they bet on the wrong horse and people told him to collect multiplatform and he kept responding that he’d never buy PlayStation or Nintendo because he’s loyal to xbox and always will be, said he’d quit gaming before collecting for the “other teams”.

The console wars aren’t a thing, haven’t been for years. Some people convince themselves they exist for various reasons but it’s unnecessary, the only actual console wars that happened was the SNES v Mega Drive. Most people these days either own all platforms, a PC or just don’t care about waging a “war”. And that’s a good thing.

As long as these age old games are cloud based and not native emulation I don’t care.
I’ve seen footage of this at ok internet speeds and a few kb atari 2.600 games should not have buffer and render issues and cost lots of data to play.

Yet it’s gonna be €80 in Europe according to leaks which translates to about $95 USD.

@Kaloudz well because 1.) the Tolkien estate is squeezing money out of the IP atm and 2.) I think if they would wait on the IP to lapse they still couldn’t air it in the US without licensing it.

It’s the same reason why Sherlock Holmes has to be renamed to Herlock Sholmes so often. The books have been public domain worldwide for years except for in the US where the Arthur Conan Doyle estate still owns the character.

@Kaloudz correct. In Europe and most of the world tolkien’s works are entering public domain soon. In the US it will take a few more years and it’ll be a book by book situation rather than all his works like in most of the world.

I like THPS3+4. Solid 9/10 but could’ve been a 10/10 with just a bit more care, especially in 4’s regard.

If this reaches 1m signatures the EU is obligated by law to seriously consider and debate this subject and it’s a topic that already has a lot of support within the EU senate.

@Kaloudz they’re hoping the EU will force always online games that go offline permanently to either add offline capability if the game supports single player, add peer to peer capabilities so people can continue playing online or make the servers open source so fans can continue to run servers.

It’s a trend that started after Resident Evil 2 and FF7R where companies started calling remakes “remasters” if it didn’t completely change the gameplay and story

Honest answer? They still sell well, especially CoD, and adding them to gamepass would impact those sales.

Almost done with Sea of Stars on Switch, I was recommended to pursue the true ending.
Not sure what to play next yet but Octopath Traveler 2, Elec-Head, Grapple Dog, Jedi Survivor and Princess Peach Showtime are all on the shortlist.

Just beat Bakeru on Switch half an hour ago. Debating on wether to continue Jedi: Survivor on Ps5 or wether to start Sea of Stars on the Switch.

I just beat Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on Ps5, close to the platinum too as I only have a handful of things left like 3 more crewmates, beat amon, donthe minatonsubstories and complete the baseball minigame.

Besides that I started playing Bakeru on my Switch which I’m thoroughly enjoying at the moment.
The plan is to start either Sea of Stars or Star Wars: Jedi Survivor after.

I’d like articles on the individual indie games from the xbox indie showcase instead of a single article that links to their YT trailers, that’s actually news related to this website and the platform. Or does indie coverage not garner any clicks?
