It's been an amazing year for top-quality games in 2025, with multiple Game of the Year candidates releasing on Xbox over the past 12 months, but there's only so much money and spare time to go around — we can't go buying all of them!
Xbox Game Pass is always a big factor in this as well, with many of those GOTY contenders such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, DOOM: The Dark Ages and Hollow Knight: Silksong all releasing day one on the service earlier this year.
When we conducted this same poll in 2024, the majority of Pure Xbox users told us that they bought around 6-10 games in the calendar year, while that figure was slightly lower at 3-5 in 2023. Now, we're keen to see the results for 2025!
So, we've thrown the exact same polls down below as we did last year. The first one is all about how many games you've bought, and then the second is just for physical, disc-based games — a whopping 64% of you told us you bought zero physical titles in 2024. Let's see if that happens again...
