Re: Forza Horizon 5 Surpasses 15 Million Players Worldwide

SpacemanJupiter

I noticed some bugs the first week that kept me and my friends from gaming together so I shelved the game for a while. Went in this past weekend and noticed all the problems I had have been fixed. Now I get to fully enjoy the game with friends and have the whole game to look forward to yet still. I've basically just begun.

Re: Don Mattrick Discusses The Failures Of The 2013 Xbox One Launch

SpacemanJupiter

I'm so glad he didn't get a chance to ruin the future of the Xbox even more than he did. He destroyed the success of the Xbox so badly that they will never catch up again or match the popularity and sales of the PS. They were on equal footing during the PS360 era. And he has the balls to still say that he wishes he had the chance to carry out that delusional plan? Talk about being completely out of touch... The damage was substantial enough that there should be a documentary made called 'Donny Mattrick and the Fall of the Xbox'. That is his legacy. To think that he has no remorse, no regrets, and would continue to carry out a plan that a teenager could better formulate is beyond comprehension.

Re: Three More Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (November 23)

SpacemanJupiter

@hbkay I feel that game pass is a much better deal than I ever expected. I have over 40 games on my XSX right now and the vast majority of them are game pass games, and they are all games that I actually want to play. The thing is, I'll never have enough time to play them all. So for me personally, game pass is too much for me to handle, meaning it's a fantastic deal in my mind.

Re: Battlefield 2042 Draws Significant Criticism In Its Opening Weekend

SpacemanJupiter

This game is really disappointing so far, almost as if it's from a different dev trying to be Battlefield. I remember all the complaints about BFV from so many people. Well, BFV is leagues better than this garbage, especially with visuals. Out of the two maps I played one of them looked like something from a PS3 or XBOX360 in higher res. Atrocious.

Re: Xbox 20th Anniversary: Which Xbox Generation Has Been The Best?

SpacemanJupiter

The original was most memorable for me, partly because of the impressive hardware. Nothing on PC could touch it except for maybe RTCW and MOHAA. PS2 couldn't even come close to games like Chaos Theory, Halo CE, Brute Force, Tao Feng, etc.. It almost seemed like a generation, or at least half a gen ahead compared to the PS2 and that has stuck in my mind since then. We'll never see that kind of gap again unfortunately, but I truly felt special owning an Xbox back then. Everyone had a PS2 and were shocked when I kept making claims that 'my version is better than your version' of games like Chaos Theory and proved it when they came over to check it out. I didn't care that the PS2 had a lot more games. After gaming on the Xbox everything I saw on the PS2 looked like utter garbage and I never even bothered buying one because of it.

Re: Xbox Actually Yeeted A Real Life Car From The Sky To Promote Forza Horizon 5

SpacemanJupiter

At first I started playing the game and was like ok, this looks good. A bit better than FH4. Then I started driving around the map and it was mind blowing. The vastness, the amount of detail, the lighting, attention to details, and damn these guys are good at making stone and rock formations. It always irks me when I play a game and the rocks look like garbage, or they look procedural. So much love was put into this game. I spent hours last night just driving around taking screenshots. I haven't even played the game yet. Just drove around enjoying the scenery. The only small gripe I have is that I think the clouds move a bit too fast compared to real life.

Re: Review: Forza Horizon 5 - An Amazing Game, But One That's A Little Too Familiar

SpacemanJupiter

I'm so glad they brought more of the same, just better. I love everything about these games except for maybe the changing seasons in FH4. I hate snowy weather in games and will be happy to not see it in FH5 for the most part.

I'm also very happy they went with Mexico instead of Japan. Japan would have been boring af and nowhere close to the variety, colors, biomes and amazing vistas of Mexico. Japan is so 3 gens ago. So happy to see games not focus on that street racing cliche anymore. PGR Japan would be pretty cool, but we'll never see PGR again.

Re: Microsoft Wants To Use The Metaverse To Build 'Full 3D Worlds' Of Xbox Games

SpacemanJupiter

Well if this is any indication they are planning on hardware for virtual spaces I really hope it's a focus on VR and not AR. I have no interest in AR and there is always a disconnect there with objects and the world. It's half baked VR, and there is no hardware out there today or in the next 5 years that will be able to fully integrate AR objects that is convincing to me. I'm definitely interested in fully realized, convincing, 100% virtual worlds and characters though and hope they are working on a true VR headset for this so called 'metaverse'.

Re: New Halo Infinite Campaign Footage Is Here, And It Looks Awesome

SpacemanJupiter

Looking good so far. For all the people comparing it to Ubishat games and saying it's a hard pass, please, skip the game and let all the Halo fans enjoy it. Halo isn't here to break gaming rigs or be the next 'Crysis', and it never was. It's going to have great art style and atmosphere, and better gameplay and fun factor than almost every game out there. By all means, go ahead and pass on it while the rest of us enjoy the continuation of this universe immensely.

Re: Guide: Is Kena: Bridge Of Spirits Coming To Xbox?

SpacemanJupiter

I've heard the PC version is clearly better but I'm still on the fence. I'm kinda disappointed in that the visuals were somewhat degraded from the first gameplay trailer we saw and I'm not at all impressed with the animation, which doesn't match the game in still pictures as far as detail and art style.

Re: Talking Point: How Are You Feeling About Halo Infinite After Recent News?

SpacemanJupiter

I would rather them delay campaign and keep polishing and adjusting it until online co op is available.

I will start with MP bot matches with my friends and MP if I'm alone. I'm not worried about MP but I am worried about the campaign. I have a feeling campaign was completely reworked and not sure if 1 year is enough time to fix everything.

Me and my friends are having a lot of fun in Halo 3 co op at the moment. They loved Halo 4 co op and we've played that more than anything so far.

Re: Bad News, Call Of Duty: Vanguard's August Alpha Won't Be On Xbox

SpacemanJupiter

I will be testing this on my PS5 this weekend. But make no mistake, I'll be buying it for my PC, and then possibly Xbox. My PS5 is the red headed step child of my gaming platform trio. The only love it gets are the 5 PS exclusives I enjoy.

I really enjoy COD WWII and so do my friends. We still play it. I'm hoping this will be more of the same, with a great story campaign and some new WWII era maps. Wasn't there a rumor a while back that there may be online co op for the campaign? That would be great.

Re: Halo Infinite Won't Include Co-Op Or Forge At Launch This Fall

SpacemanJupiter

Damn, this is a huge bummer. The first thing me and my friends do when a new Halo game is released is play online co op campaign. Even if the campaign releases, I won't be playing it for months. And they were seriously going to release this game last year????? WOW. I've defended the devs all the way up until this moment. No excuses anymore. This game should have been complete by November of this year.

My friends are not at all good with MP so I'll either be playing MP alone when they are not around or with bots until they learn how to game better. I guess that'll be it for 3 months.

They would have ruined Xbox's rep if they had launched this last year.

Re: Xbox Unveils New Stereo Headset, Launching This September

SpacemanJupiter

@SplooshDmg I had the wireless headset and it kept cutting out on my PC with the newest Xbox wireless dongle. It would also cut out on my XSX but not nearly as much. I think my Xbox was plugged into a strip, but not sure about the issue on my PC. I gave the headset to my roommate because she was not having the issue on her Xbox 1X, which I believe is plugged into the wall.

Re: The Ascent Update Quietly Adds Difficulty Options On Xbox

SpacemanJupiter

I'm glad they added this. I have no issues with the difficulty but my roommate has never played a twin stick shooter and already has difficulty playing first person, third person, and pretty much every game type. She is fairly new to gaming and sometimes the skill gap can cause problems for us so I hope this is an individual difficulty setting.

Re: The Ascent Players Are Raising Concerns Over The Game’s Text Size

SpacemanJupiter

I don't have an issue but then again, I play my Xbox and PC at a desk so I'm much closer than many people. My roommate sits in the living room on a 40 inch tv and did mention one time about the text size but I never heard her say anything again.

I see a lot of people complaining about this so I hope they address it, but seriously, I think some people may just want to get a new prescription so you can see better.

One thing I would appreciate is even a slight zooming in and out so I can see more detail or see more of the battle space. That would be very welcome. Also, please make the map clearer and easier to understand.
