Where do we even begin with this? Do we start by commenting on the gorgeous art direction? Or maybe even the impressive world design? There's so much to choose from in regards to our first glimpse at Elden Ring, which is looking absolutely incredible.
Bandai Namco has uploaded over 15 minutes of gameplay, diving into a little bit of everything. We get to see the stunning visuals, the Breath of the Wild inspired map, dungeon exploring, dragon-slaying, how multiplayer works, and it's capped off with a dramatic boss fight. If all this wasn't enough, there's even a new trailer to drool over.
It looks to be combining everything developer FromSoftware has learned up to this point, mixing the combat from its Dark Souls games to the traversal of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. 2022 is shaping up to be an exciting year.
Elden Ring was recently pushed back a month to give the team a little extra time to polish it up. If this is what the final result is going to be looking like, then take as long as you need.

Oh My Ghod! Skyrim and Dark Souls just had a Lovechild.. and I want to ADOPT it!!!!
I can't wait for this game! It looks so awesome! I like the combination of Sekiro and Dark Souls.
I am curious to see how this game is more accessible for all players because bosses still look to have the same "difficulty" as previous FromSoftware titles.
Judging by how much damage the player seemingly took (compared to how similar enemy attacks would have been kill shots in other games), I am guessing that the player is much more durable this time around. Tough to tell without the HUD, though.

Other than that, I hate the dark soul games. This looks like that but with a bigger world. Blurgh.
By the way, that's just my opinion 😀 I know people who love these kind of games and have no doubt it's going to be an impressive feat.

@GamingFan4Lyf I've mentioned before on here I'm seriously concerned about accessibility, as I want to play it as a GRRM fan but not a Souls fan.
There's been a few things that have put my mind at ease a little - apparently the bosses won't gatekeep the end of levels now (you can actually end the entire game without killing one boss), if you like playing alone you can summon NPC allies who can be a tank, ranged or other type of character, and the stealth doesn't rely so much on precise timing more just careful and slow movement.
I'll probably still end up turning it off in a huff and wonder why I wasted my money, but if all that is true and makes a difference (despite this the dev saying this game will be really difficult) then I might at least buy it and try it - an accessibility option that gives me longer windows to hit the right button would guarantee it

Should be a really good game but I'm not as hyped as others seem to be. Perhaps that's for the better since I don't like feeling too hyped about anything, much harder to let me down that way.
I'm probably the only one that feels this way but I just wasn't impressed with this. I got incredibly bored with Demon's Souls on the PS5 but this reminded me that I need to go finish it.
@Royalblues unless I'm mistaken, none of the souls games from FromSoftware have ever been on Game pass, so I wouldn't count on that.
This is a stone cold purchase for me, only thing I'm waiting on is finding out if it plays better on Series X or PS5
