After the beta, you may still be on the fence with Battlefield 2042. If so, you'll be happy to know a 10-hour free trial will be available for Xbox Game Pass and EA Play members starting November 12th.
As confirmed by an EA Help page, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play members will have access to the 10-hour trial, giving players a full taste of the game ahead of its November 19th launch. It's also suggested that standard Xbox Game Pass members will get access too, which isn't typically the case, so it could be a typo.
EA Play members (including Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers) will have early access to Open Beta and a 10-hour trial of Battlefield 2042 starting on November 12, 2021.
As with past EA titles that have sported free trials on EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you should be able to check out everything Battlefield 2042 has to offer, along with a small discount on the digital price if you wish to buy it.

Sweet! I wasn’t sure if they’d do a trial on this one. But guess there’s no campaign so…
Will definitely download and try it, but I'm leaning more towards Call fo Duty Vanguard as I prefer the faster paced, arcadey nature. Plus there's a campaign!

They needed to do this after that abysmal beta. I need to see a lot of improvement if I'm to not cancel my preorder. Glad I get to see it in advance and decide. Otherwise, I would've likely cancelled.
So forza on the 9th, san andreas on the 11th and bf on the 12th. Busy days.
The beta left me feeling, meh. Hopefully this trial will alleviate some of that hesitance, what with the whole game available. Hope the time doesnt start upon download(ha!).
A busy week starting Friday can't wait although call of duty has my vote but a 10 hour trail of BF is not to be left out cheers gamepass 😊
@PhhhCough it won't however make sure you quit the game vs leaving it in quick resume as i believe that counts towards your 10 hours.
Will take a look to see what's changed from the beta but my plan for BF2042 was always to wait for it to get to EA Play / Ultimate. The Battlefield games have always been an occasional play when I am in the mood game rather than something I would play daily so I don't mind waiting.
Already got the digital deluxe so I get access on the 12th. Always a game I'll play off and on for years.
The BETA was very rough.
I was going to pre-order, but that put me well off.
I'll check this trial out and see if they've managed to improve it enough to buy.

I thought the beta felt like a 50% complete game with 50% complete visuals. I doubt Nov 12 is going to be much better so I'm not too excited about this, but I'll check it out.
Haven't tried the beta etc but the feedback has put me off a game I was thinking was a defo buy at one point...il try it obviously but I don't think il end up buying it anymore unless it totally blows me away
Guess the rumors of this game launching on game pass was not true.
I also thought the Beta was boring and the graphics on Xbox One was like playing on the PS2. I couldn’t believe how bad it was. I will give it another go with this free trial and see if it’s any better.
