Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Still Has 'A Lot That Needs Changing' Seven Months Later, Claims Digital Foundry

I played it on my series X the day it came out, didn't run into any problems and the game itself ran fairly well. I guess I was just lucky. It's such a waste that the game failed on other platforms. I hope the next gen update offers a kind of comeback story for it, and let's be honest, it's a game that seemingly should never have been released on previous gen consoles. At least I don't think it should have been. You know what, just give me witcher next gen. Um...yeah

@FatalBubbles Bethesda, game pass, next gen upgrades. That's why I brought a series X. Of course, like a lot of people, I got wrapped up in the whole "it's shiny and new" motivation but still, I knew why I wanted to go with Xbox after having been with PlayStation most my life. They're more consumer friendly, or at the least, cheaper for my wallet. Now to think Bethesda games, Fable, Perfect dark, and Obsidian are game pass and most probably MS exclusives then well...It's a no brainer

"Not enough Xbox games" or "that's weak not a console seller soooo" honestly, the more insecure and the more vocal these type of so called gamers are is even more confirmation to just how amazing Xbox is doing this generation. But what baffles me most is that there really isn't any need to be so negative and passive aggressive over a console doing well, especially when all the other consoles are also doing well, it's a case of just being toxic for toxic sake. Or maybe it's actual bitterness because they spent over five hundred pounds on a console with only few games and hiked up prices. Maybe it's the not being able to play games like flight simulator or halo on their preferred console. Maybe they're just worried that a certain Sony platform will be a dust collector except for those moments when a 12 hour blockbuster comes along for a spell. I don't know. I guess I don't care. All I know is that everyone I know who has a ps5 is barely touching it. Everyone I know who has a series X has possibly touched it more than they should. Oh well, I'm off to finish the last chapter of world war Z.

@Richnj You always seem to be arguing with people, hence why I called you disputatious. Nothing personal about an observational fact. I know this guy, always at the same bus stop, always moaning about the news. At some point you think, dude, just don't watch the news. If anyone tries to engage in conversation it'll always break out into some heated debate. I've watched strangers take the bait time and time again. He's a lovely bloke, very friendly and hard working and would offer you his last fiver if you needed it, but man, doesn't he moan about the news a lot.

Don't wanna sound like a conspiracy theories here but seeing as this was an xbox exclusive AND not a game pass addition, it seems like MS are testing the waters for exclusive non game pass games on the market. Nothing wrong in that at all, if anything the two elements might make for a lucrative concoction of exclusive games. Game pass providing day one in house studio games, allowing players to afford third party exclusives. Maybe I'm just over thinking it haha, better get some coffee on the go

@S1ayeR74 agreed =) I ended up selling my switch because of the hefty price for games. It sucks because I actually really like the quality of games both Nintendo and Sony out out, but it also feels like I'm being taken advantage of. Video games shouldn't be a rich persons game, it shouldn't cost you a chunk of your earnings. There should, and thankfully is, a more affordable way to game. I use to be one of those people who waited a whole year for the latest release so I could at least get it at discount. Thanks to game pass I get to play first party day one games. I'm very tempted by the steam deck, though. I'll wait and see =)

@Spiders I agree. I use to be super duper into ps4 haha, but when I tried game pass out and started looking at both companies without a bias lens, I learnt that Xbox was under new management and far more consumer friendlier whilst Sony made my wallet ache. Sony have great exclusives but at that price tag, nah. Their whole director cut fee and SSD confusing along with their constant schoolyard critcism of their competitors leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I tend to drift toward more positive outlets and so far, Xbox is putting out them vibes

Phil Spencer always congratulating the competition while the competition is busy fanning silly fan wars and moaning about what MS are up to instead of focusing on their own field. Like everyone has pointed out, 10 pound subscription from 18 million plus subs is quite a hoard of monthly income. Funny that this story breaks out just as reports are coming in that Xbox are succeeding at climbing those hurdles. Worse yet is that this kind of half assed comment sparks the whole arm chair self proclaimed business minded playhards who'll jump on this as more toxic ammo for their already shallow arsenal of arguments. I strongly feel this is a tactile attack on MS, at the point where things are peaking and at a time where PlayStation is being called up on their anti consumer BS, we get numpties like this spouting crap.
