Once a Skyrim mod and now a fully-fledged game in its own right, The Forgotten City has materialised onto Xbox and is ready for you to uncover all of its mysteries.

A since deleted tweet from Xbox revealed Last Stop and The Forgotten City were supposedly scheduled for Xbox Game Pass this month. While the former appeared to be true, the latter has launched on Xbox today but not with XGP, so what's gone on here? Well, according to the developer, the game is not joining Xbox Game Pass "at this time".

Without us sounding too much like conspiracy theorists, the use of the words "at this time" suggests something may be in play, but it could also just be a generalised term. We suppose things can change down the line, so while there may not be anything in the works right now, never say never.

If you're eager to try out the game and can't potentially wait that long, it's available as of today for £24.99/$29.99 via the Microsoft Store. For those unversed, it's a narrative-driven adventure set during Roman times, as you piece together a gripping mystery. The first reviews dropped yesterday, and the vast majority have had very positive things to say about the game, currently boasting a Top Critic Average of 84 on OpenCritic.
