Between Forza and Halo, the end of this year is going out with a bang!

There's some so, authentically Xbox, with Forza. When I'm playing it I feel like I'm playing it on the Xbox console, if that make sense. It's almost a taste nostalgia, and when I think about playing Halo infinite I get that same feeling.

@StonyKL With that kind of logic we may as well cease from collecting any form of materialistic objects, like what's the point of a buying a Master chief helmet or a collector's toy of Ratchet (I don't own these things) but the point remains. We're a consumable economy which means we consume and collect various materialistic possessions that bring us joy, and of course, to encourage us to spend our money 😂 you can't apply the what's the point logic at something you don't like unless you apply it to everything.

@NEStalgia Huh, graphics weren't a big deal to me back then, the game was impressive on its own merits and I loved the way it looked.

I showed my nephew whose 17 Morrowind.

Im playing the bearu declassified at the moment (in between Forza) and honestly what a great game, it's got that Xcom feel with a bit of Mass effect gameplay. I genuinely really like it.

That's some dedication and makes me appreciate the image a whole lot more.

I blasted through spec ops the line yesterday just so I could focus on this masterpiece and the funny thing is, I'm not a big racer gamer. I enjoyed horizon turbo but that's arcade and old school. Forza has converted me. I am converted. Be gentle

just read this, it seems some people have a different take on what they were saying.

“For the record, yes, the game has slipped into 2022 and we will have an official confirmation of the delay on the 10th of December. It was supposed to be announced in October, but circumstances out of our control postponed it. If it turns out not to be on the 10th by our or someone else's will, don't hold it too much against us.”

“No amount of [development] updates are going to make the game better, or make it come out sooner, quite the opposite. It's just more tasks on the already enormous list of tasks to finish,” says Ebb Software. “It’s time-consuming to make your game look presentable to the public. That is done at the very end of the development process.”

The update does note that everything the team had worked on until mid-2018 has either been reworked or scrapped entirely, and further mistakes will more than likely be made between now and the game's release. This is the reason that development updates have been so quiet, due to the team focusing on the game instead of marketing. The team does offer a fairly humorous piece of advice for anyone who backed Scorn on Kickstarter and is now concerned about the team's silence: "If lack of communication is so bothersome just ask for a refund and be done with it. It's just a game. You can play it when it's out if you are still interested."

Also seems like a pre-emptive act of self defence alongside a probably mountain of ***** comments they've received by fans. Twitter, facebook, the general internet is a grotesquely unpolished mess full of trolls, self entitled bullies and pessimistic slugs just aching to complain and spread a thick slime of negativity over everything 😫 game developers are forced to withstand copious amounts of critcism and abuse, the comments aimed at some developers border on sociopathic and beyond cruel. On one hand I believe they should have worded things slightly better especially considering they have the backing of MS, and this type of thing can make MS look bad, but on the other hand I fully understand the response. And they're not wrong to say seek a refund, that's full on transparency in my opinion, something Cyberpunk should have said.

It does seem like they're under a lot of pressure however, but in this digital age where a minority can take form of a very vocal mob, the pressure must be even harder than the days when games were developed in a sense of privacy. Now, it seems like anyone can peer in and shout "HURRY UP YOU JERKS"

Good for them. Developers get so much flack, look at the abuse aimed at saint row developers.

People giving it a 0/10, then when you click on their profile you see they've given every ps5 game a 10/10 and this is the first Xbox game they've reviews 😅😅😅😅😅 it's genuinely hilarious

I'd imagine it'll be a celebration, with a few updates to what a going on at Xbox and seeing as it's around about the time they release game pass announcements we will no doubt get a few surprise adds, maybe some new backward compatibility games, (Tenchu Z and Max Payne ahem) either way it will be fun. For fans it'll be nostalgic 😊

Of course, there will be those who want to hype this up, and those who want to downplay it in fear that said hype is real.

I do have issue with rumours however as it's always either a miss or a slight hit, never quite a full whack, and even then, they play a part in setting expectations too high, which leads to disappointment which then dilutes the fun. It's kind of a kick in the teeth for the Xbox team putting these thighs together as well, especially when they try to temper those high expectations 🤷

One thing for certain, it'll be cool to watch a celebration of Xbox history 😊
They mentioned halo too, so whatever they got on that, I'll eat with a thank you haha

A lot people seem to think Starfield is going to get delayed whereas I believe it'll be brought forward. That release date seems like a safety net, not an expectation

I really wish MS acquired Bioware. Mass effect use to be an Xbox exclusive, so did Jade empire (oh man that game deserves a remaster) 😲 it would be cool to have some Bioware exclusives again.

That aside, I'm cautiously excited for mass effect 4. I feel that bioware are aware at their shortcomings and will hopefully set out to get back on form and win over their old fans. The mass effect remasters were a solid start, let's see how it goes with 4. Either way, you can get your butts the hype train is coming 😁😁

@Clankzz Those glory days of mass effect 1 to 3, Jade empire and KoTR. Also Dragon age. I agree, they've truly fallen from their throne but here's hoping they can reclaim that. 😁

I remember the advert on TV playing mad world, the same song they used in Gears 3 when you know who sacrificed himself 😥 this was also the first game I played competitive multiplayer, got battered but loved every second of it. when my mate went to buy in from Eplay (anyone remember that shop?) The guy was like "you're definitely not 18" and so we returned with my mates nan, triumphant and full of excitement we completed the game. split screen coop that very night.

Black ops 1 and modern warfare. I remember playing split screen on modern warfare with my brother, I can't remember the map name but he has this spot where he would snipe me out constantly until I learned what the noob tube was 😂😂😂

Black ops zombies, spent many hours into the night playing that with college mates.

I haven't played a call of duty game online since infinite warfare which I really enjoyed.

I'm on the last chapter of lost judgement 😀 then I'm gonna play some backbone and the good life until Forza comes out

I saved the whole vampire add on quest on Skyrim precisely for the upgrade 😊 I'm really hoping there is a substantial difference in term of graphics. Wonder if it will have Ray tracing?

Uptown soul, every comment made on this site is either criticising, inflaming or baiting others to argue about the quality of MS and Xbox. He is either trying to call everyone hypocrites for not attacking MS exclusivity deals, downplay any deals MS has made, deliberately drawing comparisons on PS5 (of which he will state PlayStation is better) the list goes on. This being an Xbox centric site where a small community of Xbox fans come to share their enthusiasm and news and seek out shared positivity is and will alwaysnhave, of course, fanboys like myself (even though I like PlayStation too), I'm fully allowed to call that out, and anyway, Mr. Gatekeeper, (unless you're one of the Ponies on here with a fake account) if the comment wasn't made at you and you're not offended (even though you said you were) don't worry about it.
