Re: 'Debt Repayment RPG' The Good Life Is Now Available With Xbox Game Pass

@RedKnight34 Personally, I haven't seen him as a troll, and I'm sure he's equally critical on all sites, that said, I don't agree with his critcism most of the time, nor does a lot of other people, hence why these heated conversations take place. I wouldn't block him, don't know him personally, and I hope I haven't upset him or anything. I just strongly disagree with his points, maybe I should ignore him, only comment if there is something I agree with him on. Either way, I'm sure he's not her to cause trouble πŸ™ he's just very opinionated and can sometimes seem overly negative.

@UltimateOtaku91 deep breath

You told people to avoid buying this game as it's crap. Yet you haven't played it. I disputed this. You dug down on the logic that watching a game rather than playing it can determine on whether it's good or bad. I Disagreed. You then brought Pushsquare and Nintendo into it, as if I'm only calling you out because this game is on Xbox. Which I wasn't.

The rest is in your head, man

On a side note, this isn't the first time I've seen you arguing with other people on here. Ever stopped to think you're looking for arguments πŸ™„ but whatever, I'm done, this is a boring pointless activity and I'm hungry

@UltimateOtaku91 You seem like the one that's triggered here. Man, I would hate to have your mind. Must be *****. Sorry, I don't want to argue, I don't want to add to the heap of negativity that occupies your mental space. I didn't know you were so sensitive, I mean, I thought "well, this guy clearly likes to be negative about almost everything, and then turn it into a console fan thing, therefore he can take some feedback" but it looks like you're losing it a tad.

One day you'll be happy.I

@UltimateOtaku91 Reviews are opinions and videos of glitchy gameplay isn't the same. cool though, using Cyberpunk to back up your point πŸ˜… Ran fine on my series X, everyone I know loved it, myself included. And it wasn't an opinion, was it. You declared the game bad as a matter of fact. I

Your argument is weak, mate. Your logic is depressing. I think Orignut tea analogy is perfect. let's leave it there. Clearly I'm the kind of person who enjoys trying a game out for themself before deciding whether it like it or not. You're the kind of person who likes draw an opinion based on what he sees. What a sad world it would be if we were all like that πŸ€”

Re: 'Debt Repayment RPG' The Good Life Is Now Available With Xbox Game Pass

FriendlyOctopus

@UltimateOtaku91 Mate, you literally said "If you have gamepass then it's fine to see how bad it is for yourself" as if it's a matter of fact. My wife loves the game, I'm so far enjoying it lots. You can't really fully ascertain whether you enjoy a game by watching someone else play, and again, if you have Gamepass, there's no such thing as "false hype", you play to see whether you like it or not.

It's a weird thing to do, to claim a game is terrible having not even played it.

Either weird or naturally pessimistic.

Cheer up

Re: New Saints Row Gameplay Focuses On High Octane Driving And Fast-Paced Combat

FriendlyOctopus

Hmm, if this wasn't a Saints Row game, I'm thinking it would be received with less criticism and artificial outrage. Because the game itself looks quite fun, only the internet being the internet won't let it settle on just being fun, it has to match what's in everyone's head, it has to be what other people want a Saints row game to be, which is laughable because saints row will only be what those who created saints row want it to be. It's their right to carve out the image they want, and yeah, it's our right to say whether we like it or not, but now much of that hate is born from a knee jerk "go woke go broke" reaction, how much of that hate comes from the old playerbase who don't want their franchise to change with the times, and how much of that hate is just general dislike for the game itself.

Personally I like the look of this game.

Re: PETA Is Campaigning To Have Far Cry 6’s Cockfighting Mini-Game Removed

FriendlyOctopus

I don't wanna be that guy but I've heard 89% of PETA activists are hard-core Zoosexuals.

On a more serious note, has anyone ever read the study of ten major flaws of humanity, most of which are hard wired into our DNA. One of them is moral hypocrisy, another is superiority illusory complex, though that's not to say the causes we choose to be passionate about are to be mitigated by this fact, it does illuminate some insight into the minds of those who select a target as their means of justifying and validating their superior opinion of a subject.

I'm sure that these offended PETA members are guilty of either wearing unethical clothing manufactured in some sweat shop or driving and contributing further damage to the climate, they may even be meat eaters, or be able to switch over the starving African ads on TV without a flicker of emotion, and yet they feel validated, convicted and high on the cause they've chosen to fight for. This makes them naturally morally hypocritical and by nature, divisive, which leads to the us vs them mentality which is genetically embedded into us since the caveman times, they're targeting a game because it throws a bigger net over the "them" so that they can further feel superior to a bunch of uncaring brainwashed gamers. That's what they'll see us as, covert dehumanization, by us gamers not agreeing with their logic we'll be filed as lazy time wasting children who should be out in the real world giving a dam instead of watching virtual chickens fight. This helps them push their narrative and again, helps them feel superior.

I hate the term left, or right, that again is covert dehumanization.

Don't be offended over them being offended and in fact, don't even report it. Only when there is reaction does the delusion begin.

Re: Two More Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (October 12)

FriendlyOctopus

Back 4 Blood is great, it's the Left 4 Dead sequel I always wanted. Also, not really a loophole around the whole not being able to unlock stuff in single player, but if you play online and players drop out, they get replaced by pretty helpful Bots. I had a terrible team on my hand, they quit, their bots were miles better πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

PlayStation owners will feel right at home πŸ˜‰ hahah.

Seriously though, if the graphics are worthy of this gen, then 70 pounds for three completely revamped classics is worth it.

If it's just some fancy textures and shinier character models then no. No.

Honestly though, I think it's gonna come to Gamepass. I know I sound crazy, but I just got a feeling

Re: Rumour: Xbox Game Studios Has Only Announced 1/3 Of The Games In Its Roadmap

FriendlyOctopus

I feel like xbox has lots of games out this year but due to pre contractual agreements nearly all of them were multiplat, giving an illusion that Xbox hasn't released anything. I'm confident 2022 will be the makings of a great legacy, but I'm also certain Sony will fight back even harder, which means as a consumer I'll have to get a PS5! This level of competition between the two are going to create the foundation of better games and better ways to play. Whether you're a fan of Xbox or not, there's no denying their existence and aggressive tactics has forced other major industries to talk about opening their gates a little more wider (referencing the recent Jim Ryan interview). I

Game pass will see some real treasure to add to his hoard, there is bound to be a few more surprises in wait, one has to assume the award show this December will have something to announce. It's seems pretty clear that another acquisition will happen, but if it doesn't for some time, that's fine, Xbox has the studios now, they have the talent, it won't be long until we see Scorn, Redfall, Star Field, Crossfire X, Halo, Forza, and more that we don't know about. As we read about the what if there is defiantly talks being had Behind the scene.

This leads to the speculation well, dreams and hopes and wishful thinking plentiful and had it been a few years back that's all they would be, but after the waves Xbox is making, after the seemingly out of the blue Bethesda announcement, there's no telling what's going to happen next, but as a gamer we can feel it. When rival companies start saying 20 million players ain't enough, you get this feeling they know something...something that makes them second guess their original stance.

I'm summary, what a golden time to be an Xbox fan, and any fan of gaming in general

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 9-10)

FriendlyOctopus

I'm playing Alan Wake (he's a terrible writer, and a bit of a moody dick) it's good though. Tenchu Z on the 360. Tried Visage out. Got scared. Deleted it. Finished the walking dead series on Gamepass, had no idea there was another season out, will buy that next week.

Oh my god, slightly unrelated but I can't wait for the good life on the 15th.

Also, on the 14th there's a game called murder house coming to consoles, meant to be a retro tank control horror game. Anyone played it? Really wanna get it.

Re: Bethesda & id Software Congratulate Nintendo On Metroid Dread's Release With DOOM Artwork

FriendlyOctopus

@Dezzy70 I agree. they could have been used for Series X consoles. Surely the chips inside them? Can't they get them now? Off the shelves I mean, re-use the parts? Or give them away as a game pass machine haha. It's not a good look, and I suspect they're trying to hold out for Christmas but they shouldn't. Series X is doing incredibly well, the series S is almost a stain on that success 🀦 it's quite annoying to see.

Re: Xbox 20th Anniversary Special Edition Controller Arrives This November

FriendlyOctopus

I just want a sentient next gen controller equipped with a self aware AI voice that tells me when I need to eat, sleep and poop. I Also want it to monitor everything I say and do. I want it to be able to transform into a six foot robot capable of killing my enemies on command. I was Phil Spencer to hand deliver it to me and I want it to have mini vents at the side which emits a Jasmine blue Lilly scent Every time I hit A.

Is that too much to ask for?!

Re: Roundup: Here’s What The Critics Are Saying About Far Cry 6

FriendlyOctopus

I had to choose between this and Alan Wake. I went with Alan Wake. Love the far cry games but not enough to cough out 60 pounds. Will wait for a deal or something. Really enjoying Alan Wake though, and with Back 4 Blood and The good life right around the corner, I couldn't possibly squeeze in a far cry game anyway. 😁 I hope you enjoyed my life story hahah

Procession to Cavalry is what happens when you merge classical painting memes and Monty Python together. It's a wild ride haha, I thought it was really funny.

Back 4 Blood and the good life, oh my god the good life looks crazy. I heard it has some bad rap about the developer game maker or something, blah I don't care, I'll still be playing it.

On Alan Wake at the moment, hopefully can complete it before Back 4 Blood
