Give it a year or 2 and it will be on Xbox.

My main concern is if I will enjoy this game and I think I will based on what I have seen so far. As for sales, I don't understand why anyone other than a Ubisoft shareholder should worry about that. The company will either remain as is or be sold to ensure the valuable IP's get used. I will play the game and leave the armchair analysts to the echo chamber.

I love Starfield and spent like 7 days worth of hours in it, but it's not the best single player narrative of all time. I would say the narrative is one of the weaker points of the game. The fun comes from the other game systems and the exploration. I think Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably right up there.

It would be great to get an AC Shadows or Atomfall Dynamic theme.

You can't deny Ubisoft optimise console games well. One of the few developers that gets Raytracing on the Series S.

Looking forward to this one! I got it pre ordered for the 24th.

Microsoft is a software company, it's literally in their name. That's where the trillions of $ come from and it will keep their gaming division health to have as many revenue streams as possible. You wouldn't see any other large software publisher restrict platforms.

I really don't mind thier strategy at all, I might not get the next Xbox but they don't care because they know I'll be buying thier games or using gamepass on something.

Some people need to stop with the console sales argument, it's pointless.

MS are making more money than Nintendo because that's what they are good at. Too many observations are fixated on console sales when it's the services and software that make the profits. Right now I have my Series X and I'm enjoying the majority of my games on there with PS5s ever slimming offerings of 1st party exclusives I'm interested in. In the future I might just go PC and Switch 2 as Nintendo is the one who just has so many must have exclusive via 1P and 3P.

I'm looking forward to the show, hopefully we get some release dates.

Looks nice! Might pick it up. Lots of first party Xbox games coming out this year to use it with too.

Clair Obscur will be getting a spring 2025 date as confirmed by the developer so likely march - may. I expect the others In summer/autumn of 2025 with fable either late 2025 or early 2026. Gears of War E-day and perfect dark in 2026.

Persona 6 or I won't be surprised

I would pay £80-100 for GTA 6 or Persona 6 due to the sheer amount of quality content Vs cost. I wouldn't for any other games though.

@WildConcept6 100% agree the hyper fixation on MS is weird. I think people don't like them as they are financially the world's most successful company, and the most successful gaming division by profit. People are fixated on console sales when my kids and thier friends don't care about console like our generation does

I think a new console could do well, if it is marketed right and has a good price point. I guess I am more one of the silent majority though who is a bit more positive than the vocal minority online.

Dragon's Dogma 2 - 9/10

Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth - 9/10

Death Stranding - 9/10

Persona 3 Reload - 9/10

Dragon Age the Veilgaurd - 9/10

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - 8/10 (Not an Indiana Jones Fan/Never watched the films so would be a point higher if I was)

MS Flight Simulator 2024 - 9/10 (Technical bugs take away a point because they were game breaking for a while)

Much better than the constant American based maps that are in over supply. UK maps are rare but always appreciated.

For my personal taste it was a C+. The Witcher 4 was a nice surprise and I was interested in the Mafia game, Outer worlds and Crimson Dawn which I already knew about. I think as an overall show it was a B+.

Anything other than a major hardware reveal or GTA 6 wouldn't be particularly big. I'm sure there a few bigger IPs but nothing I can think of that would garner such mass appeal (maybe Hogwarts Legacy 2)

Got the game a while back but only still right at the start of act one, I will wait until the next patch to jump in as I know it will be a time sink!

The plastic disc in 2024 is about as much use as a bit of paper with a code on it. Both are just a licence key. If I was to collect the boxes it would be more for the box art and cool freebees that come inside. At least with the switch most of the games don't require any form of download to pop in and play.

@Feffster It is typically 50mb or above, but the servers are the issue at the moment. I would recommend giving the game a try after the Dec patches. Thankfully you only have to install around 11GB or so to get started.

I feel like the scoring is uneven depending on the game. Cyberpunk 2077 should have had a lower MC score than Stalker 2 because it was so broken on Last gen playstation refunded everyone regardless of playtime and removed it from the store.

I think that PX review of 4/10 was unnecessarily harsh.

Since they rated Cyberpunk 2077 5/10 based on technical performance this should have been a 6/10.

The worst game launch I have experienced to date, and I was there for Cyberpunk 2077. At least I could play the game even if it was broke.

Very poor start

The launch has been a mess, I cannot load into anything.

Stuck on a loading getting the loading unusually long message.. the global simi launch was not a smart move. The servers are overloaded.

If you download it today do you get the update or do you have to find it? I downloaded it onto my storage but it was the old version

Edit: I don't think the update has been pushed yet.

Curious to see what the UK prices will be.

I'm happy with the Series S and the Series X over the last 4 years. They have offered me good value and some very enjoyable experiences since switching from PS4. I got a PS5 Pro but I returned it because It really didn't offer anything near the kind of upgrade I would hope for £700. I don't have a 4K TV so I couldn't even use the PS4 AI upscaler. Even with a 1080p TV the difference between my PS4 and PS4 pro was night and day.

I think MS need to develop their own PSSR to untap the 12tflop GPU and give Series S more 60fps games.

I ended up not getting around to Ishin or Tactica, I might try and pick them up on a sale.

I'm all for play everywhere, as long as that includes the option of an affordable and reliable console which is not reliant on the internet. It will be many years before the internet is globally stable enough to deliver games at the stability of game on native storage.

@Liam_Doolan I think at quick glance the title insulates that this might be coming to another console platform, as opposed to what people see as another PC launcher, but I understand the point of the title is to increase the click through rate by keeping it vague so that's fair.

Pre load will be very late on this if it shows up at all. With the delayed review codes it's fair to say this game is coming in very hot.

MS Flight Sim 2024 will be Microsoft's best rated game of this generation since MS Flight Sim 2020.

I can see this getting 7/10, a little palate cleaner on Gamepass between bigger/better games.

Now is an ideal time to get an Xbox Series S, its ultra affordable and will offer the biggest flood of decent 1st party games since the Xbox 360 era. Flight Sim 2024 alone is worth a purchase. Having other games like Avowed, Fable, South of Midnight, Gears E- Day, Perfect Dark, a new Forza plus more is a decent incentive for cheap gaming vs investing in a high end PC.

@OldGamer999 MS Flight Sim 24 will get a 90+ on Metacritic. It's the main reason I'll be buying a Series X digital and not upgrading my PS5 until GTA 6.

I've been enjoying my Series S for a while now and I was thinking of getting the digital PS5 pro but not at £699.99 ( that's like $900 with US tax deducted). I will just grab a Series X digital for £429 or maybe even cheaper.

For a next gen console £600, for a mid gen refresh, £550 max.

I was considering getting a PS5 pro but £700 when it is $700 in the US is insulting. Even at £650 it would have been a push but at least I could have seen some level of respect for the large UK market that Sony has.

The lack of disc drive doesn't bother me as I am digital only (Series S) but I realised I might as well get the Digital Series X for £429 or even cheaper soon after. (Same 2TB drive and no need to pay for stand).

@Markatron84 There wasn't any for Hogwarts Legacy either, I think it must be a HP thing.

After finishing the story and putting around 120 hours into the game, I put it at around an 8/10. I enjoyed it overall but a lack of depth in some areas took this away from the 10/10 it could have been. I got the DLC with the premium edition but beyond that I doubt I will play it much more unless there is another Cyberpunk style large update that addresses the loading screens in a better way like Star Wars Outlaws.
