We've got a brand-new survival horror game that's just been announced today in the form of Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival, which is officially coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (but there's no release date just yet).
This game is said to "take first-person action horror survival to the next level", featuring a story based around the characters of Aidan (who you play as) and Sunny (his girlfriend) in their attempts to break her out of the Labyrinth.
"Play the story of Aidan, who must use the power of a mysterious puzzle box – the Genesis Configuration – to help his girlfriend Sunny’s escape from the otherworldly hellscape of the Labyrinth."
Clive Barker himself has apparently been "deeply involved" with Hellraiser: Revival, and the game is directly inspired by the first two Hellraiser movies - although the plot "should be seen as a new story set within the Hellraiser universe".
We're not hearing much about gameplay right now, but you can get a sample of it towards the end of the announcement trailer up above, and it sounds like a lot more is going to be revealed throughout the rest of 2025 as well.
As mentioned, Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival doesn't have a release date for Xbox or any other platforms yet, but an interview on Xbox Wire hints that it's "closer than you think" and may even get a release date later this year.
We'll throw more details about Clive Barker's Hellraise: Revival down below (along with screenshots).

Looks great, but i dont think i have the stones to play this one. RE is typically scary enough for me 🤣
If Doug Bradley is involved, I'm in for sure. The voice actor sounds similar, time to do some research.
I hope it was good.
Loved Clive Barker's Jericho, so it is nice to see him dipping back in to games.
I'll definitely keep an eye open for this, having enjoyed the original film quite a bi.t
I always wanted one of those cubes in the film - and having just looked there are some pretty decent ones up for sale, so maybe I'll get to visit in person!
Genuinely interested in this one. The original movie with Uncle Frank gave me nightmares because I watched it too young.
I'm in.
Also really like see sequel or remaster of Clive Barker's Jericho. Very and criminally underrated and underappreciated game. Loved it!
I need more survival horror so this is very welcome indeed. Can’t wait for the Silent Hill games to come to Xbox and that new Resident Evil game next year. Good times!
Hellraiser remains one of the very few classic horrors that I've never, ever watched. Before I decide on the game, are these movies any good?
@omegared74 he is. It's his voice. The big man has returned!
Looks pretty good. Horror games are few and far between so unless it gets awful reviews it might be my first day one purchase this year
when this film came out , i shat my pants watching it. , some of the scenes are enough to give you nightmares for life.
Its horror in a very sadistic manner.
much prefer good old Dracula. or films like the Omen or Suspira.
This is pure Evil.
Well that looked pretty gnarly in parts. I’m in.
Looks good! it would only be closer than I think if its out this year. This looks like a 2026 game at the moment
@Kaloudz Stick to 1 and 2. It goes nowhere but downhill after 3...
@Kaloudz as someone already said the first two movies are worth a watch maybe the third one but even that isn't great but after that they just get really bad.
@Zenszulu @ALK Thanks guys. I'll give them a smash. I do have to say though, you're talking to someone that watched and enjoyed most of the Halloween and F13 movies haha. Yes, including Halloween Resurrection O_o
@Kaloudz in that case you may actually get some enjoyment out of the later entries even though they have little connection to the source material and the scripts on some of them were meant for other movies and just had a Hellraiser plot added to them.
@Zenszulu I might give them a blast this week / weekend. Got to wait until the little ones are out the way but by the time they sleep... I only have like an hour before I crash myself lol! Children eh?
Thanks though man, I'm in a retro mood lately given the revival of some classics (Running Man, Highlander etc...) I've gone back and watched the classics.
I am so in! I'm looking forward to seeing more. Another horror franchise I wish got it's own modern game is Nightmare on Elm street.
Doug Bradley's voiced is totally unrecognizable it seems.
@Kaloudz Watch them all, because I enjoyed Inferno
@Vipor007 Downloaded them all last night brother, including that. Thanks my man!
