Back in 2023, a game called ENDS racked up plenty of attention on Kickstarter after raising over £10,000 to help bring the indie project to life, receiving a concept trailer at the same time that managed to attract over 100,000 views.

This week, it's returned with its first devlog, giving us insight into how development is progressing and what kind of experience we can expect. That video is up above, which shows brief snippets of combat, how the in-game phone system works, traversal, character models and various other elements.

And, before you ask, this one is confirmed for a console release! ENDS is officially coming to Xbox and PlayStation, as announced on the game's official Discord server. The catch is that early access will be restricted to PC.

Will ENDS be available on all platforms? We’ll initially release early access on Steam with the full development being further available on both XBOX and PlayStation.

The team says they're hoping to launch ENDS into early access (on PC) at some point in Q1 2026, and to be honest that does seem quite ambitious based on how early some of this footage looks - there's a lot a potential in this one, but it also clearly has a way to go. The key thing is that there's a lot of interest in it, so it already has its audience!

We'll have to wait and see how ENDS progresses and whether the Xbox version will arrive in 2026 or not, but we're guessing it'll be 2027 at the very earliest for a console launch. We'll keep an eye on it.

Here's a bit more information about the game itself, along with a few screenshots and the concept trailer:

ENDS is a single-player game set in the Pembridge Estate in London, which faces imminent demolition by the local council. Players take on the role of Rahim, navigating his life alongside friends Sonny and Reece. The narrative explores the challenges and choices of urban life, contrasting the realities of different social classes.

With sandbox and RPG elements, players immerse themselves in a gritty crime drama, experiencing realistic and grounded gameplay elements. It’s a coming-of-age story that delves into the complexities of brotherhood, family, and loyalty.
