Bus Simulator is back! It's just been announced today that Bus Simulator 27 will be coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S at some point in the future, and it's being powered by Unreal Engine 5 for the very first time.
The screenshots of the open world (as seen below) look seriously beautiful, with the open world itself said to be inspired by the Iberian Peninsula, featuring "distinct districts, busy streets, and impressive landmarks".
Meanwhile, Bus Simulator 27 is set to feature the series' most comprehensive bus fleet yet, as well as the ability to play with up to three other people in co-op mode.
"Thanks to the power of Unreal Engine 5, you can also look forward to a major technical leap that will set a new standard for the series going forward. Whether you're behind the wheel, walking the streets or riding as a passenger, the city with all its distinct districts, busy streets, and impressive landmarks is yours to discover – either as a solo entrepreneur or with friends in 4-player co-operative mode."
There's no release date for Bus Simulator 27 right now, but the "27" in the name suggests we're looking at a launch in 2026 (it's weird how these things work, right?), and we're daring Astragon Entertainment to be bold and go for a May 26th launch. Screw it, who needs GTA 6 anyway?!
Hopefully they've got better judgment than us - we'll let you know when there's an official date for this one.
Get ready for Bus Simulator 27, the most advanced entry in the history of the franchise. Look forward to our most comprehensive bus fleet yet — with new officially licensed brands and models, as well as iconic buses from the series.
