Four Games Are Available This Week With Xbox Game Pass (July 22-24)

Never heard of Wheel World but I looks pretty cool. Trying to play some different types of games at the moment so will put that one on the list.

Seriously though, I agree. There are multiple soulslike games that I've tried because the story looks really interesting and fun. Unfortunately, I'm just not good enough to progress very far before I give up in frustration.

Given how popular soulslike games are the past few years, I must be in the minority, but I just don't understand why the devs of most of these type of games don't give those of us who are playing for the story an "easy mode," while also giving gamers who are playing for the challenge of beating a difficult game the option to do that too. I don't want devs to "dumb down" the default settings and take away the enjoyment of gamers who really love beating "traditional soulslike," meaning a really difficult, game. I just want to be able to enjoy the game too.

I also don't understand why some gamers get all bent out of shape when a studio, like the one who created Lies of P, attempts to appeal to more people by adding new difficulty modes.

As someone who played through Half-Life in 4-6 different ways, I'm 100% trying Abiotic Factor.

Wuchang is the highlight for me. Followed by Abiotic.

All three have some interest… but Wuchang is the obvious winner of my playtime

Wheel world has been on my radar for years - I’m excited to play it and hope it finds a strong following

@NavalHistorian the trick is most of us aren't good enough at first, it's a matter of whether you want to keep trying till you get it or not. Some people just don't want to do that and I get it but souls likes are fairly difficult even for those of us who play all of them, if they were easy I'd lose a lot of interest. There was some bosses on khazan that took me dozens of tries. I used to get frustrated but I don't anymore I just keep trying till I manage.

Not heard of nay of these but they seem fair, not my type of games but very cool for what they are going for.

Abiotic Factor seems like ok of a multiplayer game.

Soulslikes don't interest me so pass on Wuchang, and Wheel World has a fair mix of ideas/style.

Otherwise none, but they are some interesting games still.

@brettvsgodzilla there's a single player mode. Quite fun.
