@Steel76 Bunch of blokes that feel like they haven't played a game in 25 years. Crazy that anyone gives them money to make anything. Also, two of them are Sega blokes. Weird...
Lots of indy throwbacks that are great of course but the old timers seem mostly out of touch. The only non Nintendo person that has done anything recently that I enjoy is Koji Igarashi. Symphony of the Night and Bloodstained are both masterpieces.
Exclusive inclusiveness. Another example of corporations not putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to this stuff? What does releasing pride controllers to youtubers achieve?
Downloaded Mech Warrior. Haven't gotten a chance to play it yet. Looks like fun though and seems to be single player and co-op focused which is great. No interest in fighting other players that actually know what they're doing but stomping some Ai sounds like fun.
I can also confirm that person I've never heard of is right. Until tomorrow when a different "rumour" comes out. Then I can confirm that one.
What do these people get out of "confirming" stuff on Twitter? If they know why wouldn't they say it before now? Or do they think someone on a podcast speculating is a second source so now they've got their two sources? Maybe they just want to feel cool and be relevant for a news cycle until the next rumour hits...
I enjoyed the combat personally. The actual gun combat is pretty standard but the enemy ai (against humans) is incredible as is the kill animations and general vibe. Few games feel as visceral. If it was a Gears type combat focused game it would be a bit too generic but wrapped up in a action adventure/horror game like TLOU it does what it needs to do.
Oh cool, the monster truck game looks interesting but it's not something I'd take a punt on without trying. A few hours over the weekend might be all I need too.
Idk about this one. I agree with what Xeno said. It feels like Pirates! lite but without the charm or historical context. If they went all the way with the fantasy and had Warhammer like factions with Orcs and Skaven or something along those lines or even low fantasy with interesting world building that would be one thing but from what I can tell it's more or less a generic cutsey pirate theme that feels like it's aimed at kids. The writing isn't very good either. It has a bad children's media vibe.
The fact they refer to different shot as different "bullets" in the controls tutorial isn't a great sign either...
@Kilamanjaro I thought the same thing. Assumed I had clicked one of those "watch along with us" videos. It looks amateurish and has a fellow kids vibe and is just way too long. Give us a clip show with all the games. Let devs talk a little over gameplay footage. Maybe a couple of select interviews if you feel the need. As it stands it's just too long and uninteresting. Hope it's the last time we see the format.
Has octopath been cross platform for a while? I thought it was just a Switch game. Think I will give it a go. Played the switch demo. Wasn't enough to get me to buy it but I did like what I saw and will give it a go.
Wonder if we'll get Like a Dragon some time soon. I'm really interested in it but there hasn't been a deep enough sale yet and with all the other Yakuza games on game pass I feel like it's just a matter of time until the latest is put on.
I like Trading Games so Port Royale will get a play. Metal Slug is a classic. Warface is the stupidest name ever so I can laugh whenever I look at my games list so that's a thing.
@VenomousAlbino ikr. Never really played a flight sim before but I'll definitely convince myself that I need to drop hundreds of dollars on a flight stick for one game 🤦♂️
I personally prefer my horror games to be more action oriented like REIV and Dead Space etc. I know a lot of people like the slower paced stuff and love the OG Resi style and even more pure horror games like Silent Hill but that's not my thing. I'm too much of a chicken to deal with the scary stuff and being super vulnerable at the same time.
Can't wait for this to come out on console. I know it's not the best platform for it but neither is my mid range "gaming" laptop.
I have a little wireless keyboard that should help. Hopefully they allow mixing and matching with keyboard + controller. A dedicated flight control kit especially for the XBSX would be nice too...
"Not confirmed" and "probably won't be for a while".
The world's going to end, it's not confirmed and probably won't be for a while. By the time it is clear I'm making this up you would have forgotten I ever said anything but I'm getting attention right now so that's nice.
Is it incredibly easy to get a monopoly set made? Do IP owners pay for them? I can't imagine there being even remotely a big enough market to justify this.

@GunValkyrie
Been there, done that. Formed his own studio after Sega canned him. Produced nothing of note.

Dudes overrated af.

Can't wait. Btw, I was wondering if the game has objectives or a career mode or if you just make your own fun?

Still waiting for the native XBSX version.

Re: Five More Games Are Now Available With Xbox Game Pass (May 13)
Is Just Cause 4 decent? I've played a couple of them in the past and they were okay for a big of mindless fun but ran terribly.
Re: These 10+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (May 17-21)
Ty for the round up. Wish Rust was in Gamepass.
Re: Deals: All 20+ Classic Xbox Games In This Week's Sales (May 11-18)
Always feels like the same games on these. I want Soul Calibur II for cheap!

Awesome. Wanted to play this for ages but not enough to put money down on it.
Re: Wait, Are We Getting Some Metal Gear Solid News Next Week?
Not really interested in anything Konami has to offer unless it's a remaster, and only if they outsource it to a decent dev.

@Dijita I'm the same. Have all three. Xbox is doing really well. Definitely loving game pass. Incredible value.

Dodged a bullet. Super expensive and one IP + poor management.

Re: EA Looks Set To Acquire Codemasters As Take-Two Pulls Offer
Out of the two options I think I may prefer EA. They have multiple iconic racing IP's that Codemasters could do wonders with.
Sad to see such a legendary dev get bought out by either though.
Re: Harry Potter Action RPG Hogwarts Legacy Delayed To 2022
Hopefully they drop last gen and focus on making the best game they can with the best tech available.
