The much-anticipated Microsoft Flight Simulator was announced last year as having a Summer 2021 release window for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and that version has just been rated by the ERSB.
The ERSB is the Entertainment Software Rating Board, and a rating for the game suggests a release is forthcoming in at least the next couple of months, with an official date likely to be announced at E3 2021.

Asobo Studio has remained quiet on the progress of the console version over the past few weeks, but did highlight back in April that it was "going awesome," despite stating that the team wouldn't be rushed into releasing it too early.
It seems very likely we'll be hearing more at Xbox's E3 show, then, which takes place on Sunday, June 13.
How excited are you for the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox? Let us know down below.

Hopefully out soon then. Been looking forward to this for a while so will be keeping an eye on the e3 news!!
That's good news for people interested in this game. I have no interest in Plane Simulator games..
Did they ax the Xbone version??
If this comes out relatively close to New Genesis I'll be absolutely thrilled. 2 main reasons I bought the X.
Got a feeling this will be a July or August release.
@redd214
There was never an Xbox One version.
@blinx01 gotcha, thank you!
Considering its expected to release in the next few months, I'd fully expect Microsoft to announce a release date...
I would like to know how they are going to get all the controls onto an Xbox controller. Hopefully there is keyboard support
@Diotz I think it works with controller support now. I think that’s how Destin from IGN played it, if I remember the podcast Unlocked correctly. Am I wrong?
@Diotz PC version already supports controllers.
Can't wait. Btw, I was wondering if the game has objectives or a career mode or if you just make your own fun?
I need to plan my first flight. Thinking either taking off from Edinburgh, under the Forth Bridges and then the short hop overland to fly over my house, or something more exotic like taking off from Cairo and doing a flyby of the pyramids!
@blinx01 I think there was supposed to be a possibility of it being available on the Xbox One X, but to be honest I don't think it would happen. I use an M.2 NVME SSD on my PC, and it still takes a good while to load. I dread to know how long it'll be loading on a 5400RPM hard drive.
Hoping for an E3 shadow drop. "Flight simulator is ready to pre-download now and play from tomorrow."
@themightyant that would be great! As far as the digital version goes there could be a small window between Xbox release date reveal and the actual date. Can’t wait for this.
The only reason I bought a series x, so hyped for this game. Can't wait!!
I was never any good at those games but I will try it out. At least I'll get to see every crash animation in the game if it has any.
@SuperJoon With 100% of the functionality of a keyboard? I am thinking that wouldn't be the greatest experience.
