Microsoft Flight Simulator has today unleashed its third World Update following the Japan and USA focused updates last year, and this one heads to the UK and Ireland to provide simmers with a "dazzling flight experience."

The update adds high-resolution 3D photogrammetry for the cities of Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, London and Oxford, along with five new meticulously hand-crafted airports (Barra, Liverpool, Land’s End, Manchester-Barton and Out Skerries), visual and logistical improvements to 85 more area airports, architectural elements, 70 custom landmarks and points of interest, and more.

In addition, the update introduces three more new activities into the game, which include an "Iconic Flight in the Northern Isles", along with two more Landing Challenges - one located in the north, and one in the south!

The Microsoft Flight Simulator UK and Ireland World Update is free beginning today via the in-game Marketplace, and console users can look forward to trying it out when the game arrives for Xbox Series X and S this summer.
