I'm not really fussed if it is a straight up remake but will buy it anyway in the hope they do more with the franchise.

When you've been shot in the face in one game, you've been shot in the face in them all.
You need something to help you stick out from the crowd to make you try being shot in the face again. This looks like it doesn't have that.

Maybe the install size is meant to use up more space limiting your options for other games so you are more likely to play the game and hopefully spend some money.

@AgentGuapo I have a feeling some of them would have kicked their own grandparents in the head if they looked at them funny. Clearly no thought going on in their heads. They are probably perfectly fine on a normal day but once a football match is on they just turn their brain off for a few hours.

After seeing the behaviour of football "fans" this weekend I believe they could raise the price of the game even more and most of those people would gladly pay it as there is clearly very little going on upstairs when football is involved.

@LtSarge I meant does anyone base their buying habits on influencers? He may be enjoyable to watch but do you buy stuff he tells you to?

At least we have the videos of them on YouTube for now. Until they realise that’s the place the creator can make money from them.
Soon they’ll be closing real world locations where Bond films have been made as people can pretend they are James Bond walking through these areas.

Can you rearrange the letters and make a cool acronym? GLIBTAQ+. Rolls off the tongue a bit easier or, forgive my naiveté, is it wrong to rearrange the order?
This is yet more hollow marketing talk as I can't see them cutting players when they make homophobic remarks amongst many others online. They should, but the narrow-minded dollar is more important.

@LtSarge Fair enough. I thought if the kids I know had moved on already then others would have too. Not really my thing so don't follow it that much.

Will it arrive too late though? Aren't people already getting a little bored of it or are the "influencers" being paid enough to keep it alive?

These people get free stuff all the time. Everybody knows it. Don't advertise the stuff you are giving them that the general public can't buy. It would negative press for any company surely.

I thought influencers were to there to persuade people who can't make informed decisions buy stuff or convince people their life isn't worth living unless they copy the influencer. They can't persuade someone to buy something that isn't available for purchase.
Talking of influence, seeing the rainbow has got me wanting some Lucky Charms.

"Customising your character is also a blast". Unless I can replace my arms and legs with sausages and head with a plane I am not interested. I want my character to look stupid otherwise I get bored within 30 seconds of creating characters.

@Chaotic_Goat I always find scores are nonsense. The description can be about the same in reviews and one person gives it a 6 and one an 8 (out of 10). Reviews are very subjective and you have to navigate the descriptions to see if it is your cup of tea.

@everynowandben 2/3 is bad though really. Although when I was at school if you got 60% in a test in class the you got a lunch time detention which I always thought was harsh. Same people every time in detention so clearly it wasn't working.

A lot of people would be happy with 65/100 in an exam. It's like B at A Level isn't it?

@FatalBubbles Everyone is different. If you only play AAA titles you end up with a drought so you either have to own more than one console or play some smaller titles. The main draw of Game Pass is the AAA games but you have to have variety on there to cater for as broad an audience as possible.

@FatalBubbles Halo sold me the OG Xbox. Gears of War sold me a 360. Rise of the Tomb Raider sold me a One. Game Pass plus quick resume and improvements to older games sold me a Series X. Lot of indie games on Game Pass are higher on my list than Halo Infinite so I appreciate his marketing spiel.

The Surge Duo is actually more expensive than the two separate in the UK. Unless there is some hidden DLC in the duo you are better off buying them individually.

Hopefully there will be a lot more first party games on the service to keep people subscribed once their promotions run out. You can still get the EA play codes on offer for about £15-16 so still a bit of a saving plus you can get Game Pass with the reward points so not as expensive for a full year as you would think.

@InterceptorAlpha I must keep my house at too low a temperature. I always have to slice it off and wait for it to melt on toast. Seen "hacks" online where people use a vegetable peeler for this purpose so it isn't just me. The people who use the phrase must have houses well over 25°C. My grandma used to put it by the fire about 30 minutes before mealtimes so it would spread.

Why do people refer to frame rates being buttery smooth? Butter is usually hard and nigh on impossible to spread unless melted slightly. Margarine is easier to spread. I want the term margariney smooth to be used from now on.

@JustinSane Pretty much the same thought process as me. The games seems like it has been on my radar almost as long as Cyberpunk 2077. Not so hyped so should have better launch.

Apart from KOTOR 1 and 2 I own all the pre Xbox One titles it seems. They must have all been Games with Gold at some point.

Not watched DVDs in a while but tend to use my little DVD player as it plays all regions. I assume the Xbox is still region locked?

Yes, if I didn't already have a Series X. The backwards compatibility and the rewards system still gives you a lot of content for less.

The key for these games is the story. A graphical improvement isn't really needed. I also assume they will delist the originals when the remasters come out.

A little icon letting you know which games support it would be nice. I bump around a few games and it's like a lottery when you first start a game as to whether it quick resumes or starts from the beginning again when you start it a 2nd time. Quick resume has made me dislike the 1-2 minutes of forced gubbins before you start a game now.

It's a bit like choosing your favourite food. Chocolate, steak or garlic bread starter? They are all good and all bring something different to the table. These are not necessarily my favourite foods.

Never seen the advert. Assume people who aren't into gaming won't have seen it either. Not sure it was money well spent.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the game I am eyeing up. So many games on Game Pass to play though but may as well use some of my Reward Points.

@Dezzy Just below the Reward Yourself/Earn More boxes on the Rewards App it is showing for me. Headed "Easter Sale". A bit early as the sale hasn't started yet but fingers crossed it's open for everyone by tomorrow.
Just checked and it is on the Rewards webpage too.

Looks like there is 5000 bonus points if you spend £35 in the sale. Last time I spent vouchers I had collected with reward points which counted towards this. They are just giving games away at this stage. Doesn't save me any money though as I just spend money on Switch and PlayStation games instead.

If Microsoft issue a bundle of new backwards compatible games to rub salt in the wound I will chuckle.
Just started playing Okage Shadow King on the PS4 last night. Strange game to be picked from the PS2 to be given a PS4 version. Hopefully with the PS3 store closure, the PS2 games start to come through again. I can but dream.

The first one had Tom Bombadil in it if I recall correctly and for that it gets my vote and it wasn't made by EA, who I have heard it's popular to dislike in the land of the internet. It's also the only one I played and I enjoyed it at the time.

Activision showing people that you shouldn't assume anything in life, especially from a company who likes to make a quick buck whenever they can.

I lost 70+ hours on Oblivion in a different way when my Xbox was stolen. That and the almost complete Burnout Paradise saves were my biggest losses on Xbox. My PS3 and Wii that were stolen also annoyed me no end too. Luckily Xbox has the cloud saves now but back at the end of 2009 I don't remember them being a thing.

Currently £2.36, £4.99 and £12.49 for each separately if anyone just needs one of the series. Don't think there is any difference in the separate titles.

I have owned the game on disc for almost 5 years and not played it yet and I also have the sequel so probably give it another few years before I get to it.

I was shocked when I fired this up today and it did quick resume and said you have been away for 1837 hours, do you want to continue. That was when the last Game Pass quest was.
