I love these huge sales 😁.
Yes!!!! was anticipating this
maybe they might offer some different games on sale it always seems to be the same ones every sale
I will most likely pick up the new Assassins Creed. It looks like a good time.
@P3nguinprisM Great game at full price. Fantastic game on a sale.
We all saw this coming after this weeks sales seemed a little lacklustre, bring it on, my wallet is ready.
@swedetrap Great to hear!
I've been waiting for Sekiro to either get a discount or head to Game Pass. I've platinum'ed it on the PS4 and I'm willing to do it all over again on Xbox!
I'm going to check out some of them accessories to see if anything has a great price on it
@trev666 Over 500 games on sale. They all can't be new, can they?
@BlueOcean i never said new i said different most sales include the usual battlefields, sunset overdrive, recore, quantum break, wolfensteins, fallout etc
@trev666 By new I mean different (games on sale). At least first-party games are included unlike Nintendo's (I also have a Switch). The selection is often diverse, what would you like to be included?
@BlueOcean He's not wrong, it's always the same games on sale and has been for over a year or two. Alot of good games but from the same bunch that is always on sale. Just like the big winter sale, it was all stuff that had been on sale all throughout the year. So I had pretty much grabbed everything I wanted from that selection. I guess there are just developers that participate in sales and ones that don't. I'm not sure what I'd like but anything but the typical selection. But I'm still excited, I am sure there will be a few things for me to consider.
I've never played Dying Light and just got the new Platinum edition marked from 100 to 25 dollars a few days ago. So I should be entertained either way if I am able to get into and like it.
personally ones on my wish list are Evil within 2 didnt buy it when on sale once before because i thought it would be on gamepass after they brought Bethesda but for some reason it isnt.
Alien isolation collection that was on sale on PlayStation last week for £9.59
Enslaved im not spending £11.99 on a game thats available on disc for £2
and planet of the apes last frontier its been on sale on PlayStation but not on xbox
@pacer95 Of course, they can't put 600 different games on sale each time, that's my point but each time newer games are added.
Few people get everything they want at once. I see all kind of games on those big sales, first-party obviously but also Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Assassin's Creed, Sonic, Crash, Spyro, Call of Duty, GTA, The Witcher, Bioshock, Japanese games including Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, etc. so I'm wondering what relevant games are never on sale. Some indie games, e.g. Monster Boy, took a while but it was on sale recently.
@trev666 I see. I got The Evil Within 2 on its first sale years ago. You are right about the others. Some original Xbox games have never been discounted but they're cheap. Thanks for replying.
@BlueOcean Yeah I am pretty picky with what I like and already own over 100 Xbox games not including years of Games with Gold games so it's hard to find new stuff I like on sale. Although I haven't played the 1st Mafia since I was a little kid and it was too hard to beat then so I'd like the remaster if it's on sale again. I beat Mafia 2 five or six times and beat the 3rd one. I'd play Mafia 2 again but I've hesitated on the Trilogy because I already own Mafia 3 with all DLC.
Hopefully Forza Horizon 4 is on sale. Maybe Gears 4-5 too, but should probably finish Gears 1 first 😂 Might pick up 1 or 3 Assassins Creed games if they go on sale..
Oh gosh, already sounds expensive 😭😂
I'd like Fallout 4s season pass to be listed for less than the dang complete edition. They always do that it's so annoying when you own the game but not the DLCs.
500 games on sale. 100 of them will be various editions of Assassins Creed and another 100 in the Call of Duty franchise
I jest of course as i am looking forward to the sale, hoping to get some best prices come through on my wish list
Hoping for AC Odyssey with all the dlc for a good price, owned it on pc completed the base story, but would love it with all dlc on my Xbox and maybe origins aswell as never played it. A big sale on avengers would be nice too but I never know if to bite the bullet or hope it comes on game pass...
My rewards point balance is ready to add more games to the backlog.
Awesome, I love me some deals..
@BlueOcean Doubt it will happen but it'd be cool to see Cyberpunk on sale for 30 or 40 dollars. The disc has been that price at Target and Best Buy recently but my console doesn't have a disc drive. Red Dead Redemption would be nice to see on sale for like 10 dollars, I have wanted it for a while but don't feel like paying 30 dollars for a non remake of a game I beat in high school ten years ago.
Oh, I just thought about it : I'd really like a discount on the season pass of Assassin's Creed Valhalla !
@pacer95 I haven't played any Mafia game yet 😅.
Do you mean Red Dead Redemption 1? Did you like it? It was very cheap some months ago but I didn't get it because I read some complaints about the gameplay and controls. Don't be in a hurry to play Cyberpunk 2077 because the Series S/X version is coming later this year like The Witcher 3.
Wife will be so happy that there is another sale for me to waste money on
@P3nguinprisM likewise, it was €25 physical a few days ago but missed it. Here's hoping the digital version will be about the same or cheaper, even though it probably won't.
@BlueOcean Yes, albeit I was alot younger, the first Red Dead Redemption was like my favorite story game ever until Elder Scrolls Skyrim came out. It made me cry my eyes out haha. And I just really life the Mafia stories and vibes, not the best with combat but it's all about the story. They are can't miss for those intrigued by the era and Goodfellas type movies.
I have a Series S I got in November so I figured Cyberpunk should run fine, but good point, maybe I should wait for the X/S version. I'll be getting an X when available as I've had the funds on my MS account for 7 months now but for all I know it could be another six months. But my Series S does have auto HDR and Dolby Vision with my LG NANO 85 and more stable frames. It really improves older games so I was thinking it would be great to replay the first Red Dead Redemption. But a remaster or FPS boost would be even better. I've tried 3 times to get into Witcher 3 and was never pulled in by the story or characters but I really want to like the game. I recently bought it really cheap so I wonder if the upgrade will be free?
I really splurged on the consoles and my new TV and may sell the Series S eventually if I don't keep it as a backup. Before it I had the OG Xbox One. I typically buy a lot of games with Microsoft points so I look to save as much as possible on games.
@pacer95 I know what you mean, I sold my Xbox One X to buy the Series X. You will find one eventually. CD Projekt said that the next-gen upgrade will be free but I assume that the Series S/X version of the Witcher 3 will include the two expansions so perhaps you need to have the Game of the Year edition or buy the DLC if you have the original edition. We'll see. The Series S/X version of Cyberpunk 2077 will also be a free upgrade.
I also spent some money on my TV (LG C9) in 2019 but it's worth it!
@BlueOcean Holy crap nuggets I just won but lost at the same time! So I already have a Series S but had the money on my Microsoft account for an X. Well after months of trying to get an X I gave up after being influenced by this sale. I saw lots of deals I wanted but didn't have money for. So long story short Series S was available so I bought a second one and spent 200 on games. But now I have 2 Series S and no Series X smh haha. But I got Vahalla, Cyberpunk, Avengers, Legions, Prototype 1&2, Mafia Trilogy(even though I owned 3 it was still the best deal for 1&2), Mad Max, Dead Island& Riptide definitive, WWE playgrounds, and Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate. Plus had just got Dying Light Platinum. Hey may not have the Series X but I am about as loaded as it gets on games! Biggest downside is the LG Nano 4k 120hz tv I bought for the X months back. I already had a 4k tv and could have bought a 120hz monitor much cheaper. Anyway it's still a nice tv with the S and I can sell or keep the other S. May keep one in my bedroom and one in the living room or for guests so my gaming friends don't have to bring consoles over. In the end Im relieved of worrying about finding an X. It's been a burden on my time and energy ultimately taking away from a positive gaming experience. And I didn't really have enhanced games and now I do so I am ready to just have fun and game, because that is what it's about. I would have been happy on my OG Xbox. This whole experience trying to buy my first new console during drop was a nightmare, I'm ready to be content with what I have. Which is quite a bit of new stuff lol.
@pacer95 Wow that's a lot of Microsoft credit! I can only save points for a few games at best. As you said, enjoy what you have! I should just do that as well.
@BlueOcean It was credit I actually purchased overtime for the X. Worst decision as it limited me to Microsoft Store. I did it as my way of ensuring I spent the money on the Series X but ultimately may be why I was unable to get one. Well that and the stock shortage I never saw coming, I was on everyday since midnight at launch trying to buy an X. But ay I don't really care anymore lol.
@pacer95 Don't worry, stock must come eventually and then you'll be able to get a Series X. I guess it was your way of saving for it and you can use it for tons of things including software, subscriptions, hardware (when Series X is available), accessories... so it wasn't a bad idea 😊.
