Going back to back with black ops was probably a mistake. They could use a few more storylines to further break up the BO and modern warfare titles before the inevitable black ops reboot.
Im Ice fishing for the next few days but I have been hankering to get back into flight sim 24. I might check back in with oblivion remastered too. Hopefully that game is running better.
Sounds like they created a position at the head of zenimax and went with an experienced guy. I doubt this is any form of a demotion (he probably gets the same salary or more than previous role).
It probably says more about zenimax needing more direction than any indication of what they felt about the person.
I wonder how much they paid to get that final reveal spot, i imagine that is one of the most expensive slots. Sounds like it backfired.
That might be a flaw in the format of the show (from a viewer perspective). They need someone to determine which reveal warrants the big slot, not who will pay more.
@FrenchVaniIIuxe first of all you have it backwards. Microsoft gets 70% of every sale and Sony/steam etc. get 30%. Sony does not benefit in any way if call of duty sells less.
Black ops 6 was the most successful game in the franchise. It still made more money than any other call of duty game.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the highest-grossing title in the franchise's history, achieving record-breaking day-one player counts and significant revenue growth. IT EARNED MORE MONEY THAN ANY OTHER Call of Duty game, driven by its availability on platforms like Xbox Game Pass and cloud streaming"
Resounding success for black ops 6. Take the false narrative back to the ps boards.
@FrenchVaniIIuxe how does call of duty having less sales benefit sony?
Saying xbox lost money in overall game sales is not indicative of success. Gamepass subs are much more valuable. If the game led to more gamepass subs then it is much better than a one time sale.
Didn't watch it but the reveals dont seem particularly great after watching the trailers. All the other bloat could only bring it down further for me. D
Sounds like it's time for that gamepass premium tier drop.
Black ops 6 might be throwing the numbers off a little too. That was a particularly successful game even by cod standards. I wonder how this game compared to some of the other weaker cod games, not just against the most played one.
If the games are spending so much for spots, it is even more frustrating that there are so many non game ads sprinkled throughout. The whole production seems like a greedfest.
Im not watching this year. Give me a good recap article and I will catch up later.
Add it to premium tier!! I was looking forward to this game and would still like to sink some hours into it but the new price of ultimate took all the wind out of that sail (and outer worlds 2). I guess I will continue to wait/pass on these games.
I would much rather see Paramount buy them than Netflix. I hope they succeed in stealing this one.
I hate the idea of massive ip like batman skipping theaters and physical all together and being exclusive to a streaming service. Videogames are doing great things by getting further away from exclusivity. Film and television are moving backwards.
I love halo infinite. For me, it is the best multiplayer the franchise has ever had.
The campaign was good but I think the open world hurt more than helped. Maybe it would have been different if they got to make all the expansions for it. It felt empty and I had no desire to explore like the great open worlds get me to do.
Overall though I think it stands up to the halo legacy. It is great.
Everytime I hear the title i think it is related to the wreckfest franchise which is one of my favorites. I still want to pick it up eventually, probably once it gets a decent discount.
I prefer the skill based matchmaking to the free for all open matches. I dont see the appeal of having players of the lowest skill level and esport level talent in the same matches.
They all sound pretty great. I will definitely try them out. I want the post game analytics to tell me all kinds of wierd stats like my shots per reload ratio.
Wasn't expecting much of a celebration considering the bigger xbox anniversary is next year.
I dont really know what they could have done to excite me for the milestone. Held the gears 1 release back? But I would rather have it earlier and that still wouldnt make me feel anything for the 360.
Its hard to believe there are 14 games ahead of Minecraft. Even with the late in console life release I thought what has gone on to be the best selling game of all time would easily beat out all other 360 games.
If you want more people to play and talk about your game then exclusivity is a bad choice. Its not surprising that the people making the games want to put them everywhere. This is most likely true for the majority of employees at every studio. Not many people on consumer or developer side actually want exclusivity.
They market the steam deck as a pc instead of a console as well. I wouldnt take their statement as confirmation that it is like $1000. Im guessing this comes in around the highest steam deck price, $600-700.
Even if it is substantially more expensive than a console, it will have a larger library of games and those games will have much better discounts. There will be no monthly online charge. It will be cheaper in the long run.
I almost exclusively buy games at the deep discount phase. Games that do not ever go to those levels of discount, I am much more likely to just skip.
Most gamers probably have a substantial backlog built up. Just play those until the current new releases drop in price. It forms a never ending cycle of games to play and your gaming budget goes 2-3 times further or more.
I will defend the call of duty use of AI. Marketing images, Calling cards and other player icons are a great use case for AI. It has no impact on in game experience and even if "human created" they will not enrich my time with the game in any way.
The most appealing part of the steam machine might be the portability of the form factor. That thing is just begging to be in my luggage for trips to hotels or the cabin.
Nascar 25 and forza motorsport mostly. I would like to get around to finishing spiderman 2 at some point. It has been jamming up the backlog for way too long.

Re: Microsoft Says It's 'Incorrect' That Xbox Division Is Now Targeting 30% Profit Margins
Figures, the media trend is to always run with the negative xbox news without verifying it. It must get the clicks and that is all they care about.
Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Shares Lengthy Video Message After Winning 'Industry Icon' Award
He has been the best thing to happen to xbox. I am really looking forward to the future of the platform.
Re: Talking Point: How Much Time Have You Spent Gaming On Xbox Consoles This Year?
There should be a PC desktop option. That is my main way to play. Xbox (consoles, pc app, handheld, and cloud)is probably around 30% of my gaming.
PC (steam/gog/epic/emulation) 50%, then xbox 30%, then playstation 10%, then Nintendo 10%.
Re: Xbox Celebrates 'Incredible' 2025 And Thanks The Fans In End Of Year Message

Re: 15 First-Party Games Released On Xbox In 2025, But Which Was Your Favourite?
That is an impressive list of games for one year. I went with Avowed but it could have easily been doom, outer worlds 2 or grounded 2.
