It sounds like Xbox is ready for the holiday break, as the team has shared a closing message for 2025 over on the official Xbox Wire website today.
The end of year message mentions how it's been an "incredible 2025" and "one of the most game-packed, award-winning years" in Xbox history, while also making sure to thank the fans for their support.
"As the year winds down, we’re afforded the opportunity to take a beat and look back at a truly memorable year for players. Across Team Xbox we’ve been creating new worlds, telling fresh stories and bringing legendary franchises back to our screens – and ensuring you can enjoy these experiences on more devices than ever before. For all of us, it truly is more than a game."
"It’s been one of the most game-packed, award-winning years in our history – and none of it would have been possible without you.
With 2025 coming to a close, we want to take this opportunity to reflect, relive our favorite moments, and say thank you for joining us to play together this year."
Beyond this, there's also a mention that 2026 will be "another memorable one", highlighting how it'll mark the 25th anniversary of Xbox — something that's already been hyped up a lot over the past few months.
Indeed, with the likes of Fable, Forza, Halo and Gears on the way next year, it should be a very memorable one.
"We’re looking forward to 2026 – Xbox’s 25th anniversary year – as it’s set to be another memorable one for players, with more to come from many of the studios we’ve seen this year, and many more at Xbox."
After this, Xbox gives the floor to the studios behind 26 individual games, asking for their reactions to their 2025 releases as well as what's next for them in 2026. There are no major reveals as part of this, but it's still an interesting read all the same - definitely go and check out the full Xbox Wire article if you're interested.
So, there you go! We're all kind of winding down for the Christmas period now, but even if Xbox goes totally quiet over the next week-or-so, we'll still be here providing as much coverage as possible for you here at Pure Xbox!
