Talking Point: How Much Time Have You Spent Gaming On Xbox Consoles This Year?

These days, there's so much choice in terms of where to play your games, even when it comes to Xbox. The brand used to be heavily console-focused, but now it also incorporates PC, handhelds, cloud gaming and various other things.

We've heard about how Xbox Cloud Gaming has grown substantially in 2025, how PC Game Pass has evolved a lot in recent years, and how the ROG Xbox Ally has served as Xbox's first proper foray into the handheld market.

Nevertheless, many of us are still spending much of our time playing on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, and even the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and original Xbox in some cases. Microsoft might not be promoting the X and S with the same vigour we saw a few years ago, but they're still outstanding systems to own here in 2025.

Let's not forget about all the other systems on the market as well though. This year marked the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, for example, so we wouldn't blame you for making the Switch 2 your main console for at least a few months. The PS5 is obviously always an option as well, and the sheer number of storefronts on PC (which includes the aforementioned ROG Xbox Ally) means you can get access to games that aren't even on Xbox yet.

So, with all of this in mind, how much time have you spent gaming on Xbox consoles this year? Has the Series X or Series S been your main way to play in 2025? Do you spread your time across multiple systems? How about Xbox Cloud Gaming — is that something you've dabbled with a lot?
