Crystal Dynamics has brought its a-game to The Game Awards tonight by revealing two new Tomb Raider titles - and one is coming to Xbox as early as next year!
That 2026 title is known as Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, and it's a full-on remake of the original Tomb Raider title from 1996. The second game in question here is Tomb Raider: Catalyst, and that one is an all-new Tomb Raider title heading our way in 2027.

Tomb Raider: Legacy Of Atlantis (2026)
"Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a stunning reimagining of the 1996 genre-defining game.

I just realised that’ll be 9 years after SOTR. That’s crazy!
Finally hopefully some top action AAA action adventures and exploration and a few puzzle in 3d person.
Not sure about the remake 2026 one, my opinion they should have skipped that and used the resource for the new game to release 2026. A shame for me.
Also noticed games for 2027, I now they can cross generation but maybe new consoles in 2028.

I was not expecting two games from this announcement, they both look promising.
The OG Tomb Raider game is the first ever PS1 game I played back in Christmas 1996 as an 8-year-old old so it will always hold a special place for me. The remake looks interesting.

Nice to see Lara back. Im glad they showed the new one first, it made the remake seem like the cherry on top! Looking like another stacked year next year already...
I wish Fable and Perfect Dark got as much support for new entries as Tomb Raider.
