With whats on offer on the platform for me right now, it needs a next gen boost.

@Terrin I suppose you could argue at least with 3DO or Jaguar there’s a residual value on the retro market. Stadia you’re sinking money inevitably get switched off..

I think the biggest get as far as helping Xbox in Japan would be porting the back catalogues of their main titles like Persona and SMT. Having those and the like of the yakuza games on Game Pass would help. Even better if they add them to cloud streaming and add switch support for that!

I wouldn't pay it but as long as there are those that will you are likely to see these sorts of prices. 2K have a history of heavily discounting games and from their perspective I can see why they would want that steep drop off to start at a higher price point.

Definitely the sort of game I'd play on Game Pass(or buy for under a tenner) but not buy on launch. Happy to get it just for the graphics.

I always loved the chatpad on the 360 too, would love to see it properly implemented so you can use it with games that can use a keyboard(Football Manager, Civ, Flight Sim)

Disappointed it's only the last gen version.

@blinx01 Did they charge for players to from PS3/360 to last gen? I think in this case at least it will be a lead in to get players to keep playing and buy the add ons/passes for GTA Online.

@Dezzy70 this was my first thought better to wait, set expectations and over deliver than promise too much and underwhelm.

@antifyre I'd love it, if they could shore up their(Nintendo's) online in Azure at the very least it would be great. xCloud streaming would be a bonus.

@antifyre As I own both I would love that but I don't see what the benefit is for the big N there while they are doing so well. Phil Spencer has been very positive about the switch for some time I think it is probably a bit of a decoy. The Kojima one though could be a clue.

Why keep making custom controllers that no one can buy?

@blinx01 yeah it’s an interesting proposition. It’s now MS the only platform that hasn’t done a “State of Direct” event, so they are due one but as the other 2 were so underwhelming it’s probably better to wait and save it all up. As much as we’d all love to see some new games.

@Terrin Yeah theres a deal to be had, no way these lawyers want the cost of taking on MS and Bethesda.

How do these differ from the version of 2 that was on Game Pass last week? It's not their doing but it seems like this could have benefit from MS' Frame Rate upgrade and Auto HDR

Can see rafts of DLC being added to 5's next gen engine. I'd love to see 3 & 4 remastered onto the same liberty city.

Nice idea for the retro collectors, but ultimately actual OG Xbox are readily available at a low price or you could pick up a Series S for not much more than what this would cost and play all 4 gen.

@Trmn8r my expectation is this will change next week. We havent had Febs game pass games yet. I'd be surprised if it isn't one of them.

I think with xCloud/Console streaming its unnecessary to have a dedicated handheld as you can pair your phone with your controller natively. Its not as flexible as Nintendos offerings but they would have to compromise on graphical fidelity and would make no sense to MS when they have built two fantastic machines that fit their strategy better, even the Series S is next level compared to the Switch(which I love) and fitting that in a handheld is nigh on impossible(or prohibitively expensive).

They will go for a slow and steady plan, I dare say the failed gold increase was a step on that path.
I can see gold going first with a phasing out date(you can trade gold for game pass 1:1 at the moment so easy transition) then sometime after that they will start to creep the price after that, possibly for new signups like Netflix did.

Hades would be great, SW Squadrons from EA, as @agito1987 just said Hitman 1 and/or 2. Some older legacy games maybe Kotor. Also some Xbox exclusives like Amped or Project Gotham Racing as they could do with reviving!

Sounds like they are doing something faithful with the IP and their recent efforts with Hitman give me faith we could see a definitive story driven James Bond game.

@Dezzy70 it’s just gaming in general not necessarily this gen, perhaps more noticeable though. Even when I had a PS3 briefly(much preferred 360 obviously!)I was irritated by the number and size of patches. I didn’t really jump in to the last gen(apart from Switch) and it seems the norm now for games to favour deadlines over completeness.

Would love Amped 3 one of my favourite X360 games(and the launch title that made me fall in love with the console). Although I'm fairly sure its not BC.

@pip_muzz hadn’t seen that. I’d prefer a motorsport as I’m a recent return to Xbox so still have Horizon 4 to play.

Even with COVID delays you have to think MS have something up there sleeve after a lot of accusations of no big first party games.

Disappointing its not on the S too by the looks of it(although it may be they are using Series X as a catch all for the next gen)

As this deal was made prior to their takeover(which is still incomplete remember) you have to assume it was multi platform and I doubt Disney would agree to change the terms now to make it exclusive. They may agree to features and it will most likely be on game pass day one.

Games should be finished when they arrive. But isn’t Halo 6 a different situation. It seems by and large the reaction wasn’t to it being buggy like C2077 but it just being a bit flat and bland all around.

@lostfields I thought this was pretty well known. I was half expecting it to miss SeriesS!
I think the fasts load of the SSD is the difference maker.
