After heavy speculation originating this morning regarding the gaming world’s worst kept secret, it turned out to be correct, as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is coming to Xbox Series X|S on March 26th!

Activision revealed the news, stating that the critically acclaimed remake is making its dive to next-gen. However, only players who own the Deluxe Edition are eligible for a free upgrade. Anyone who owns the digital version of the Standard Edition can choose to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $10, but physical owners don't get that same luxury.

Yeah, confusing...

The Xbox Series X|S update will see the game jumping to 120 FPS at 1080P, or 60 FPS in native 4K. Not only that, but a whole range of other graphical upgrades have been made, including “improved resolution, spatial audio, high-fidelity atmospherics [...], sharper dynamic shadows, reflections, and lens flare, plus enhanced skater textures and more.”

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 joins Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time in getting a next-gen patch next month, both by Activision. However, the latter will be available to upgrade for free for both physical and digital owners through Smart Delivery, so it’s baffling why the same can’t be done here.
