Like Sony said when talking about the gamepass model, it’s not sustainable financially so MS are likely not making profit from it currently, maybe even losing money.

If that’s the case then MS will eventually have to find a way to get more money from users once it has their desired customer base signed up. Will be interesting to see how this is achieved after this price hike.

Well deserved imo. They push the boundaries in storytelling and gameplay etc is decent...

This kind of goes in line with Sony’s strategy of generations as opposed to having every game on every platform. MS might feel in a sticky situation with this one...

I agree with Phil and wouldn’t be surprised to see Xbox release similar in the future.

Sony seem to have done a good job with the console too as it seems to be performing as well or better than series x. Could be why MS dropped the most powerful console tag line as they got hold of early performance from devs?

Almost as ironic as my Mac running windows better than any windows machine I’ve had!

@Krzzystuff I doubt Sony had 6 months head start in reality seeing as earlier in the year parts supplied were bottlenecked.

Both manufacturers have likely had more issues with production parts as opposed to time constraints.

@Arugula oh 4 annoyed me with the tight city streets making driving a chore. 5 was much better in that regard with California’s open roads...

Interestingly I saw ACV (and dirt 5) don’t run as well as the ps5 versions. Is that because of optimisation or something else?

The first half of the 360’s life was superb as ms were so focused on the gamer but they totally dropped the ball the second half of its life focusing on Kinect. I ended up selling mine for a PS3 as that had so many exclusives at the time...

Animal crossing was the ideal game at the ideal time but my bite would go to ghost. What a great game!

AC2 had such good missions and set pieces it’s still my favourite though mechanics and the fighting has been improved since...

Yeah Sony do sp games very well and I would have thought Phil has looked over and been a bit envious at some points. Looks like that’ll change moving forward though.

After MS’s Bethesda purchase, deals like this look a bit pathetic. Imo Sony would be better off buying studios like they did with insomniac.

That way their effects would last indefinitely rather than just for a year.

Just started Star Wars fallen order and have to say it’s pretty decent so far. My first ea game in a very long time...

Obviously a great list but it’s mostly made up of old or current gen games with a spec bump. I’m going to wait for some proper next gen releases before “upgrading”.

I hope they’re going to show some games that illustrate the power of the xsx. Like others have said we haven’t actually got any next gen game info yet which I find odd.

Obviously gamepass is great but I want some games that wow me like ratchet did at Sony’s showcase.

Yes I noticed the halo infinite point of sale stand in a shop the other day selling monster. Seemed a bit odd seeing as the game’s been delayed but it’s still marketing awareness I suppose.

These are used on all kinds of devices so why not consoles too, nice idea...

MS’s is easier, PS’s got the most probability of getting cheaper over time...

Personally I like the trifecta of NL, PS and PX. All fan sites so you got to expect a certain level of loyalty the the brand they’re representing.

They’re sending mixed messaging with Xbox US portraying a “we don’t like console wars” type message, while Xbox UK are flaming said console wars...

It’s a good thing the heat gets extracted. It means the fan’s doing a good job getting it out of the system and in turn lowers the chance of another RROD situation!

I thought the human eye couldn’t distinguish between 4K and 8k anyway?

While I’m not keen on the actual size of the ps5 I quite like the design. Is brave! Would prefer it in black though...

@graysoncharles horizon 2’s lead development is on PS5 and being scaled down to PS4. You can see that just by watching the footage. It looks amazing...
