Aren't Microsoft and Sony applying the same charges on their walled, digital store fronts?. If Microsoft wants an open playing field they should allow different stores on Xbox, and Sony should do the same. I'm hoping that the EU will look at this in the future.

This is an amazing franchise, and more people getting an opportunity to enjoy it would be great.
I can see Microsoft porting this to the Switch 2 as well, since it looks very good on Series S already

I personally think PJ gave it a 4/10 because the game its not set in the Arkham Verse,or made by Rocksteady😉....

I agree with Colantonio here, I'm now around 20h in and love Stalker 2 . Sure it has its issues, but once invested in the survivalist and atmospheric adventuring the game offers, it's a great.

Nobody forced Sony or Nintendo to follow/adopt Microsoft's greed in requiring payment for online gaming...they've made a choice to do so.

SE5 was excellent. So more of the same is fine with me, I'm also happy to see them keep the Hitman mission style from the previous game.

This, plus Atomfall makes next year a great one for Rebelion fans. Please give us a Strange Brigade sequel next 😁.

No more studio closures or layoffs, that's number one.

Not gonna happen at least until 2035, Sony are not exactly famous for short or medium time exclusivity deals 😉. But yeah, this is just Squeenix with their usual MO on FF7R & Remake when journalists are pestering them with Xbox questions....

My point is, that from the time (albeit short) I've played of the game, the 4/10 score seems too harsh (hope this clears it up).

Our individual experiences with the game have been quite varied, so we can definitely see there being lots of different perspectives on this one

Regardless of individual experiences at PX the one you posted as a review sure hit the engagement mark😉....let's how this 4/10 review age's next to the 8/10 for the Suicide Squad: KtJL ( I say this as someone who most of the time agrees with PJ's reviews)

Edit: I've only had the chance to play for about 6 hours, no major issues so far, except for some items not obeying the laws of gravity and physics 😁.

This looks really good, and I also like the visual aesthetics they went with.
Bring it on, I'm ready for a new fantasy RPG especially from Obsidian.

Probably the same thing Microsoft are doing with all the money they'll make from ABK & XGS games on competing platforms. Invest in more games, get more deals for GamePass, etc, etc.

Battling through Trials of Mana, P3R, Dearh Stranding, and as usual with Kojima's output it's harder to follow than string theory😁 (but I really like it). A good one to all.

I went with SW: KOTOR, because it was my very first Bioware game and I was just completely blown away by it.
...Still remember buying the game and the Prima guide from one of the Game stores in London, and hurrying home to play it on my chunky og Xbox. Great times😁, love the ME and DA series too.

Man, for the folks at the top, capitalism really, seems to be doing wonders. For the vast majority of us not so much, especially in year with thousands of people laid off to meet profit targets(?).

I think you, I, and most people know that strategy died all the way back in 2013 with the Xbox One reveal. Even Spencer admitted as much ( the worst gen to lose).

On a personal level and with Xbox as my primary platform, I don't feel affected by Microsoft's strategy to bring games to more platforms. Maybe this is just me trying to stay afloat in a sea of nihilistic points of view about the future of Xbox 😉....

In the same segment about Microsoft's "gaming" division, Nadella mentioned how the company strived to bring "great games to more people on more devices

When you aquire publishers of ABK's and Bethesda's magnitude, the above approach is the most sensible thing to do.

I don't have a Switch (only Series X and PS5) so all my gaming purchases and play time are on Xbox, be it third-party or GamePass.
Perhaps once ND and Santa Monica (really liked Ragnarok) release some games that will change, and I'll make use of my PS5 too..

To be honest, I don't really care, another game not coming to Xbox doesn't make any difference to me as I play my 3rd parties elsewhere anyway

Man, I love the game. To this day, nothing captures better that bad-ass Gladiator felling when you step into the Colosseum, and get the visceral fighting style flowing 😀. Absolutely loved it, especially if you have a mate to play it with.

Wuchang and Eternal Strands look quite good. If Subnautica 2 can match or exceed the first game (not a fan of the expansion) it will be a treat too🤞.

Based on the evidence we've seen so far though, these features just aren't delivering huge results yet, and I'm glad that Xbox isn't asking its customers to take part in a public beta test for next-gen features. Oh, and a $700 beta test at that

I'm in total agreement with the above summation. I really, really don't look forward to a next gen from Sony or Microsoft were they can think that asking up to £1000 is acceptable, just because Sony's £700 beta testing was seen as a asuccessful endeavour....

Love the art style of Darksiders 1& 2 and even Genesis, but not a big fan of 3. I'll have to get back to Darksiders 2 to get all the achievements and this free upgrade is a good a reason as any. Well done THQ .

This looks good for most people that are new or plan on joining the Xbox ecosystem, especially if this works by staking up 3 month deals like with Ultimate.

The absolute tops would be £550 and be the disc version. Anything as outrageous as Sony are doing (with the pro) and wouldn't even consider it.

I totally agree with the points in the article, at a comparative price point that Sony are asking for (£700!!), a Series X Pro would make zero sense given how far behind Xbox is in sales already.

Edit: Also, I remember reading during the ABK acquisition, Phil Spencer saying they expect next gen consoles in 2028. I hope they'll stick to that time frame.

...meh, more rumours about FF on Xbox. I have to start putting money aside every time one of these gets reported, the amount accrued will easily cover my GP Ultimate subscription with change left over😀.
