Praise the heavens they do insist, I can't stand the symmetrical layout of my PS controllers.

I *would*like one of these, but my purchase decision will be very price dependent, and with the crazy hardware prices going around I'll likely sit this on out🙃.

I can't comment on Arc Raiders, but after watching some videos on Marathon game play, I can safely say my interest in it, is zero.

Oh, I know that feeling. I was doing something similar in the Flying Waters area 😁.
Still,.there are so many things the game gets almost perfect that the absence of a mini map, and running around in circles cannot dull my enjoyment from playing it.

Expedition 33. I'm lv 18 and started to unlock some really good combat abilities, I just love the combat systems in this game. Finally am I the only one that constantly gets lost while playing 😁.

Have it ready for the next-gen Xbox in 2027. In the meantime it's all about Fable.

Wow, just wow😅!! I haven’t laughed this hard since Sony revealed the PS5pro price. Microsoft can join in and eat sand with this increase.

Whether anyone likes it or not, this level of success means Xbox is very likely to bring its entire first-party catalogue over to PS5 in time, so don't be surprised if the likes of Halo and Gears of War end up on that console before long!

Astute observation😉, and I'm good with both points I.e. I don't dislike Microsoft's multiplatform strategy nor am I, or, would be in the slightest surprised to see the games mentioned on Sony and Nintendo consoles.

I'm long past the notion of exclusivity being the driving decision when choosing my main gaming platform/ecosystem.

After seeing the article on Pushsquare (via the link) regarding physical sales for the game and their shocked journos about the disparity between platforms for a game that is, wait for it- a day one releases on GamePass but not on other subscription services, I'm totally shocked, shocked I tell you 🙄 😅.

I'm now waiting for the headlines informing us that Doom the Dark Ages sales will be disproportionately more on PS5 than Xbox. With the very small caveat that the game will release on GamePass at launch.

Microsoft is also lining their rivals pockets. Sony doesn't have to develop the games, but gets their 30% cut

It's no different to how Sony is lining Steam's pockets via their PC ports or in extreme cases Microsoft's,with their grand total of two games they have on Xbox🙃.

Somewhat surprised to see a footie game on top in the US, and no COD?! Perhaps everyone is playing it on GamePass 😁...
I have seven games currently in my basket (need to fight urge to add more🙃) with only DMC5 SE from that list, albeit I'm shopping from the UK store.

For my gaming habits/preferences, GamePass has been on a hot streak ever since I subscribed way back in 2017. I think it would be very difficult for me to get back in gaming as it was before the service launched. Long it may continue.🙂

That's an interesting observation. I always buy both consoles with each new gen but my PS5 is the least played console by a country mile when compared to previous Sony consoles (and it's not even comparable to my Series X which is my main platform).
I have finished one game on it since purchased way back with GoW Ragnarok. It's just nuts when compared with the PS4/PS3 gen😅.

Edit: As awesome as this Oblivion Remaster is, I shall be playing Claire Obscur once I've finished South of Midnight.

I would love to see Minecraft Dungeons 2 announced. I play the first game regularly with my son and we always have a blast.

It took CI games months to bring the game into a playable state with the Xbox version always getting the performance patches last compared to PS5 & PC.
DF mentioned some of the issues within their analysis at the time too. Personally I'm pretty much done with devs releasing Xbox games (SX) not
on par with PS5 as a bare minimum requirement.

Already bought Planet of Lana, Chants of Sennar, Cassette Beasts and Humanity. All excellent games.

Good riddance on Lords of the Fallen after their second class citizens approach of the Xbox version compared to the PS5. I didn't even dignified the developer with a GamePass download...

Having finished Avowed which was awesome (my favourite so far this year), I was planning to play Atomfall but the sound issue made me pause this until sorted. I'll be getting back to my Yakuza backlog, SW Outlaws and some FM racing.

I would not pay £80 for a game regardless of it being from Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony or any other publisher.
I will continue with my GamePass subscription for as long as I see value in it and just buy the games I want to own on a sale or at most, for a sensible price.
I love games and gaming in general but I just wouldn't be able to justify it to myself, let alone to my better half.🙃.

I was planning to get a Switch 2 for the kids since it’s the only major console we don’t have in our household, but this whole reveal sure dampened my excitement for it.

My son is badgering me that he wants to see this ever since the film was announced, so bar a cataclysmic event, we are going to see it on the big screen this weekend.

I'm 72h into Avowed and entered the last area, what a great game! I just loved exploring it's world getting all totem items (finally a game with actual worthwhile collectibles) and treasure items. If I manage to finish, I'll be moving on to Atomfall. Happy gaming to all.

It's not just Sony anyway, as Square Enix announced SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered for a ridiculous number of platforms except Xbox

This, this right here it's something worth reporting on, since Squeenix are constantly stating how they want to support Xbox and bring their games to as many platforms as possible yet they pull sh*t like this.

As for Sony not sharing ip's with Xbox it should, by now, be a complete non - story.

I would probably need about 24 quiet months for Xbox GamePass just to do some catching up on my backlog 😁. And like you say Atomfall is still to come. I'm about to enter the last major area in Avowed at lv 27 and just love the combat combinations it allows. Hopefully I'll finish up before South of Midnight and Claire Obscure. I also want to play some Atomfall too.

I can absolutely see Sony blocking games, especially if the rumoured Xbox handheld materialises . This, after all is a company that money-hated Squeenix to the point that FF7R is still not on Xbox platforms half a decade later.

Interestingly what this piece also shows is how entrenched some Sony fan(boys??) really are about exclusivity and the giddy feeling they get knowing only people with a certain plastic box can play some games....

This game can be played on Steam Deck yet somehow the Series S is not powerful enough and an insurmountable challenge for the developer.....riiiight 😅.

So happy people care a great deal about Beyond Good and Evil 😀. I think Splinter Cell would be a great IP too, especially since Konami no longer cares about the tactical espionage action genre. Than again Microsoft have plenty in their IP portfolio as is.

I'm still very much invested in Avowed, but will give this a go too. The art style is beautiful.

I guess their observation was more of baiting comment than anything else, and they are likely aware that in the context of remakes, re-releases or remasters of past games, Sony is way ahead of Microsoft.
Personally, I'm not against the approach because I have no obligation to buy said games, regardless of whom is behind them.

Yes, this is most welcome. I reached the point where I have to uninstall games on a weekly basis due to space shortage. And no, I'm really not willing to encourage Microsoft's (expensive) approach to expanding SSD storage.

I cannot see Microsoft acquiring anything significant from Ubisoft's IP portfolio, given their ABK expenditure and studios shuttering. With that said, I wouldn't mind having Ubisoft + as part of GPU.
