If true, I hope is or will the include Beyond Good and Evil IP and possibly Far Cry or even the RS or Ghost Recon. With Microsoft new multiplatform strategy people should be able to play these games regardless of platforms. I just want someone to make BGE, dammit.

My main system has always been / is Xbox. I have a huge digital library, love the ecosystem and if they decide to go with a PC like experience I don't mind. Will be there day one, bar some colossal fudge up by Microsoft.

Excellent post, I agree with your points.

If this will be priced above the Steam Deck (partnering with other hardware makers tends to be expensive) than it will have an Everst sized mountain to climb. I'm very interested in an Xbox handheld, but price will play a crucial role for me.

Besides working with AMD and having the inevitable RDNA/FSR4 as upscaler we know next to nothing of the PS6 either.
Microsoft will reveal more when ready, assuming /save for the usual leaks, rumours, speculation, etc.

If it happens at all it's definitely in the later camp. After all it's a timed(?) exclusive to Sony- the undisputed kings of very loooong timed exclusivity deals...
Perhaps on Microsoft's next-gen console, I'm eating fantastically well on Xbox in the meantime.

I'm 46 hours into Avowed and loving the gorgeous world Obsidian created.The exploration, movement and combat are outstanding too. So more Avowed for me for the time being 😁.

This was on my gaming radar ever since it was first revealed and Rebelion are very reliable with their output. Look forward for some serious Fallout style survival exploration, it's been too long since Fallout 4.

Yeah, I feel bad for devs that make great games on/for GP

Why would you feel bad? - It's not like the developers are putting games on the service without getting paid by Microsoft.
My approach with games on GamePass has always been to play them ( if I'm interested and like the game), than subsequently buying them outright when on a sale. This way the developer gets rewarded twice, once from Microsoft and once from me.

Very happy to see Bethesda still committed to the game. It's not for everyone but I personally loved Starfield and hope they'll stick with their original DLC expansion plan,- I'm ready for more exploration 😀.

Of course they have an-announced stuff , it's no different to any other gaming company out there.

Not if the PS fanboys are anything to go by (in GamePass related articles), they are cancelling their imaginary GamePass subscriptions because apparently it offers no value 😅😅.

This year was already stacked with games from XGS, Avowed just launched then there's Doom, Outer Worlds 2, South of Midnight, possibly another COD, it will be a fantastic year for Xbox and gamers in general 😀.

Edit: All of the above plus the myriad of great third-party games.

So many great indie games to look forward to (with many on GamePass day one), I love it. Long may it continue 😀.

I'll always have time for the indie scene and look forward to watch the show 😀.

By the way there are other games (listed) like OD and Towerborne which are Xbox Studios collaboration games, and it's perhaps similar with Ninja Gaiden 4 (there was an article on PX about how Tecmo was approached by Microsoft on trying to make the game happen, recently). But you probably already new all that....must be a slow news day over on Pushsquare....😉😅

I have already mentioned this on a different thread - big thumbs up to Microsoft for aiming to be transparent with their multiplatform strategy.

On a different topic, so now the PlayStation fans want an Xbox centric* site to publish all platforms XGS games will release on besides Xbox and PC, even though they are members of the Pushsquare community were any snippet of Microsoft games going to PS is a big-ish(?) headline😅😅.....

And that is because some folks act like they find some sort of perverted pleasure in knowing that x, y or z is an exclusive to their plastic worship box😅😅.

Without the Xbox tax maybe around 80 but with it probably higher, like 85-90

That depends, on very rare occasions XGS developers do manage to circumvent the dreaded tax😉. Personally, I'm going 86-90 as a huge Obsidian fan but will play the heck out of it irrespective of scores😁.

As we mentioned earlier, Avowed officially launches on Feb. 18th, but there's also an early access option if you're super keen to go hands on with the game ASAP

Oh I see, so that's how it works. There's an official release date for the game, with an option to play it early if folk decide to do so.... Incredibly this seem a hard concept to grasp for some people (day 5-6 blah, blah, blah)😅.

I mean, yes, it is commendable that they got it to run on the S, but in what negative way did this impact the superior consoles

The dev is saying that it in fact, it helped the superior consoles in this particular case. And if we are using a particular line of questioning, how were the monster gaming PC rigs affected by the significantly less powerful superior consoles?

But, since you have to 'dial down' in a few things and have to be clever where you can in the programming and in the code and so on, and be able to save memory here and there - some of these optimizations for [Xbox Series] S benefit the other consoles as well

We've been told time and again by the Series S bashing bandwagon, that the console is the reason of all the bad things with games development this gen by holding things back, blah, blah, etc, etc.
These developers (here) have no idea what they are talking about. 😅😅

Edit: Someone should share this novel development approach with the developer of Black Myth....

It will be a definite buy at some point, but at the moment I just can't handle another huge time-sink game.

This is more sad news for the industry. I didn't know Iron Galaxy was doing so much support work, let's hope those affected will find employment somewhere else soon.
There were rumours of a KI port for PS5 recently, and wonder if that would have helped the situation with the studio(?) or perhaps there is someone else doing the port (assuming is true).

Just finished it over the weekend, very good game. This might be an unpopular opinion but visuals aside, the X360 NG2 game is superior to this- Itagaki San at it's absolute peak 👌.

The production values in Fable are dialled up to insane and that can't be done on the cheap. With money to be made on PS and likely Switch 2, it would be an easy decision Microsoft to port it.

It makes sense, especially if E-day will also be multiplatform.

Played the first game on GamePass (and loved it) than subsequently bought it. Will do the exact thing with this sequel.

I've stayed out of the main article breaking this news to preserve my sanity 🙃.
But here I would like to add that PlayStation players who never played the Horizon games will be in for an absolute treat. FH5 is a fantastic game, enjoy!

I know this is a simplistic view, but allow me to answer your question with a question of my own if Imay:

• Why does anyone new to mobile phones or buying phones in general chose IPhone over Samsung, or Huawei, or Motorola, or Honour, or Oppo etc?
  There will slways be/is a reason why customers choose differently.
  Now, of course there's always a chance Microsoft might fully quit the hardware part of gaming, but, until GamePass can be played on the likes of PlayStation and Nintendo, something I can't see happening any time soon than having hardware for future and existing customers (for GamePass) is of vital importance to Microsoft. Just my opinion.

Game Pass is an important component of playing the games on our platform, but to keep games off of other platforms...that's not a path for us, it doesn't work for us

This is the clearest on Microsoft's multiplatform initiative to date.

I think we will before too long (seeing how Starfield got it after launch too) . It's just a shame that is not there at launch.

I would only consider buying it as part of a premium edition with campaign DLC included. I love Obsidian's games and that digital art book sounds nice, but it's too steep a price just for that and to play a few days earlier. I can wait 😁.

I look at hardware as a critical part of what we do, but not trying to gatekeep the games off of other places
