Re: Marathon's Final Reviews Are Mostly Being Held Back, So Here's What Xbox Players Are Saying

Sol4ris

Bungie has reportedly asked critics to consider not publishing their final reviews until an endgame zone called "Cryo Archive" releases later in March

🀣🀣 And no doubt critics will dutifully oblige Bungie's request.
It's such a shame other developers lack Bungie's wisdom, and don't ask critics to review their games weeks or months(?) later once fully patched and with added content, that was missing from the paid release. Christ on a bike, you can't make up πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ..

Re: Xbox Announces New 'Project Helix' Console, Says It Will Play PC Games

@Fiendish-Beaver

I have said it many times before, but I think that Microsoft will stop supplying the PCBox about 3 years after they introduce it.

I saw you posting the above somewhere* else and I just wanted to say that I hope (sincerely) for your predictions to be about as accurate as the one about there won't be another console from Microsoft πŸ˜‰πŸ€ž.

Re: Next Xbox Console Could Be Affected By PlayStation Pulling Back On PC

Sol4ris

Meh, this changes nothing for me personally. I have a PS5 if I really want to play their first-party games ((edit: which with a very few exceptions, I don't).

However, one of the reasons I want Xbox to become a more open platform with multiple store fronts is the huge selection of games that the PC has and for the third-party timed exclusivity games that usually Sony money-hats for PS and PC first, then Xbox getting them waaaay later, if at all.
Fingers crossed Xbox will stay the course for a hybrid next gen console.

Re: Xbox's 'Pivot Away From Console' Had Been Failing And Questioned At Microsoft, Claims Report

Sol4ris

So what now?? Pivot again to having exclusives or double down on the walled garden digital store front (for the next console)?
F@ck that!
I want full backwards and forward compatibility of my Xbox library, and an open store fronts system. In short, I was/I'm a much bigger fan of Spencer's vision for the next gen Xbox. They need to differentiate from Sony's and Nintendo's offerings.

Re: Microsoft CEO Shares His Thoughts On The Major Leadership Changes At Xbox

Jeeez.
I just seen the news, this looks like a major, major change. For both Spencer and Bond to leave its a bit of a shock for me.
I liked Spencer and the direction he had for Xbox and I think he'll be missed when all of this settles down.
For the first time since I've bought the original Xbox more than two decades ago, I have a feeling of some uncertainty about where all this leads.
Perhaps I should start playing my PS5 more often and continue building my library there, but Sony's latest actions don't exactly feel me with confidence either..

Edit: Last year, Phil Spencer made the decision to retire from the company.
I hope this quote holds true and that Spencer wasn't pushed/forced into retirement. Anyway, I think he'll be missed πŸ˜”.
