My attitude is that if a game is being delisted soon and unless they offer the game at a steep discount I don't bother. It's not going to hurt the developers to offer a game that will no longer be available at a discount but lots of developers just announce that the game is being delisted and refuse to offer any discount.

Personally I would like to see some of the delisted Xbox arcade games be made either available for purchase or available with game pass. I would like to see the Arcade versions of Sonic 1-3, Simpsons arcade and other delisted arcade games.

Project Helix could easily have expandable RAM which could mean that the base console could be sold for less. But the launch price will be a big factor along with what Sony does for the ps6.

MS will push out the next generation console as soon as it's ready since they are in last place for console sales. There is no point to wait even if they launch with minimal new native games.

I would personally like to see a remastered version of Gauntlet Dark Legacy only available for the PS2 and original Xbox.

I think if the new CEO can get almost all third party studios to make a Xbox version of their games it would be a big win.

She managed to get around 10,870 gamerscore in a couple of months with only one fluff game.

My prediction is that they will be making changes to what the next generation of Xbox consoles will look like. MS will have the core model which will only be an Xbox console with no PC dual boot and MS will release a pro version which will have the PC dual boot to support Steam, Epic and The MS PC Store.

Tried a free trial when it was originally offered and it didn't really impress me.

@Balaam_ On the Xbox 360 it was possible to erase games with 0 gamerscore. I believe MS got rid of this with the launch of the Xbox one.

I keep seeing the deal to get the Series version of GTA for $15, and I'm not interested. Even when GTA 6 will enviable come to Game Pass I still wouldn't be interested. Sure it will sell but I wouldn't be buying it. Have the 360 version and only got to where you pull down the trailer and for the X1 version all I did was racing the two cars at the beginning and lost interest.

I believe all the recent changes are focused on the next generation of Xbox consoles. MS has continued to make various changes to the Xbox experience so when the next generation of Xbox consoles launch it will only have the features MS wants. I am disappointed that MS killed off buying movies and TV on the Xbox and Windows. My theory is that MS will launch two identical consoles with similar specs but different features. The base model will be a digital only Xbox console without any dual boot to steam and the Pro model with include the dual PC boot and have a Blu ray player which is can also read Xbox games. MS will likely made both consoles have the same hardware this time.

I definitely want to play the game on the Xbox but I plan to wait until all 3 games are bundled together and get all 3 games rather than buy them separately.

I played the demo on the Series S and was unimpressed and underwhelmed. All the game videos looked sharp and impressive but the demo is a considerable drop in graphic quality. Even the game mechanics seem to be rougher than they were presented to be.

The most likely date for the next generation of Xbox consoles is in 2027. MS isn't going to rush it, but getting the next generation console to market is the top priority. And MS will take the time to ensure the success of the next generation Xbox consoles.

My take is that Avowed wasn't a good as it could've been. The problem with Outer Worlds 2 is simply not everyone was impressed with the first game so less people tried the second.

Most Xbox sales tend to start on Tuesday so the most likely date is February 3, 2026

The optimal time for a new console to release is in the fall just before the Christmas season which is the biggest retail season. Given that the sales of the Series Xbox consoles are down and they are in third place MS is likely to push out a new console sooner than later. MS will is likely to keep making all the changes to Xbox then after all the changes are finished they will announce the next generation of Xbox consoles. Likely later 2026 or 2027. I doubt MS will wait until after 2027 since it will give the PlayStation too much of an advantage.

It's inevitable that the Xbox wouldn't get every game but overall I am content with the number of titles that do get released for the Xbox. My opinion is that the Series S is both an advantage and disadvantage for MS. The big advantage to the Series S is that it a lower price point which means more games will jump into the Series S. The disadvantages are that not all developers want to bother programming for both the Series S and Series X and with the Series S there is less incentive to create physical games. I think the game looks kind of like the Plague Tale games in a way. Can't say that it's a game I am interested in.

What is the obsession with releasing games with NES pixel games? To me most of these games seem like the developers aren't even trying to make it look decent. The Activision titles that are Retro Classic look way more polished.

My guess is that they will announce various titles that will be coming to game pass along with adding various titles that day.

Many of these titles were digital titles as well but they got delisted so unless you previously owned the digital version you would need the disc.

The Series S isn't perfect but it's a good cheaper option to the series X. The biggest issue I see the memory limitations which means that having multiple series games active on the series S does impact it's performance, even though MS claims it doesn't.

My prediction is that MS will wait until the Steam console launches then depending on the price of the Steam console and the sales they will then launch the Xbox Series 2 after that.

@Lup Perhaps. I managed to get to the boss fight at the cathedral and couldn't beat the boss at all. Changed the difficulty from normal to easy by mistake then found I hard locked all achievements.

@Lup Flintlock was interesting but brutally difficult to finish on normal, the lowest difficulty to still get achievements. Also lowering the difficulty below normal hard locks all achievements for that play though.

The initial batch of next generation consoles will likely be produced by MS at there Redmond campus. MS has continued to expand its hardware offerings starting with the Xbox, later the MS Surface and now A Xbox/PC console. The only real issue will be the price of the next generation consoles.

The games that I am currently playing are Visions of Mana, Age of Empires 2 and 4 and The Grinch along with Tales of Arise.

It's clear that the Xbox division is profitable and MS is clearly not subsidizing Xbox in anyway.

My speculation is that MS is planning on a 2026 launch of the next generation of Xbox consoles due to the weak sales of the current generation consoles. An even bigger speculation is that MS will launch the next generation consoles at near costs for a limited time after launch. All pure speculation.

@FarmDog08 It has options to play the game as a turn based game or as an action game. You can even shortcut attacks to buttons to make it more action oriented.

If you have a TV with HDR 10 you can get 4k on the Series S, but you will lose some of the detail that the Series X is capable of. The main difference that I can clearly see is that the Series X has finer details than the Series S. The game looks more than decent on the Series S.

The paid offers finally got fix a few days ago. The YK2 game had a free offer so if you owed YK2 you got the Series version for free.

NG 2 Black will be leaving game pass at some in the near future due to the release of NG4. My guess is that around when NG4 joins premium NG2 Black will leave game pass.

My speculation is that it for the current Series Xbox and the next generation of Xbox consoles because they want to be the first on the market.

I didn't get the x360 at launch but the earlier title that I played the most was Oblivion.

I think it will sell at or above the price of the ps5/Xbox series X. Steam seems to want to make money on the Steam console so they won't be selling below the cost. My guess would be a 25% margin above the manufacturer cost.

It seems that the more they delay then more will be expected and less people will be interested. It likely going to be a ps6/Series Xbox 2 launch title. There is a strong possibility that GTA 6 will end up like Duke Nukem Forever.

@themightyant My guess is MS might include two memory cards, one for the Series X and the second a standard SSD.

If Ubisoft wants to sell more games they need to be way more generous with the gamerscore. Like instead of the game having only 1000 GS it could have 1500-2000 for the base game and each DLC could have 1000 GS. This goes for lots of games. Civ 6 has 1945 GS when it could easily have 3000 - 4000 GS. And Civ 7 has only the base 1000 GS when it could easily have 4000 - 5000 GS.

I suspect that the next generation of Xbox consoles wouldn't use the storage cards.

I was a big fan of the AC games and purchased all the titles( not for full price) until I saw Valhalla and then I decided to evaluate each game separately rather the just rush to but the game

Xbox has always had the Gold discounts starting on the Tuesday of the week so new sales tend to start close to on the Tuesday.

My speculation is that on the 25 anniversary the Xbox will launch the next generation of Xbox consoles.

I understand what the problem is. All digital purchases are linked to the Xbox store and each game needs to link to the Xbox store to unlock the title. One the game makes the link and the Xbox store returns that you own the game you can play the game. Without a Xbox store web page for the game it returns on your console as an invalid game, which makes the game unplayable. The other issue is that the Xbox console doesn't list downloads like the X360 did but your game library is a webpage showing your purchased games.

The way I see it since the ps5 is at the top of the console sales Sony wants to keep the ps5 generation going as long as possible. For MS since the Series Xbox is in last place MS is heavily motivated to launch the next generation Xbox sooner than later. The next generation Xbox is already in development and MS is likely to shadow drop the next generation console with little warning. Sony is just starting development and likely will delay the launch of the ps6 as long as possible.

Many of the best titles by SE are the JRPG in the first place. Titles like Marvel's Avengers aren't something SE should be focusing on.

I think that there is little real incentive to create a Switch 2 version when a Switch 1 version already exists. If it will cost more to port it to the Switch 2 then the potential sales then it's likely not worth it. It likely only makes sense to create a Switch 2 version if there is no Switch 1 version. I think right now the priority is to bring COD to the Switch and other games are a low priority.
