Most of the time the original version get delisted when a remastered version is in the works. Before the recent Tales of games remastered versions appeared all Tales of games were removed from the ps3 store.

My guess is that they will make sure most games that are playable on the Xbox one or better are playable on future consoles. One of the biggest successes of the ps2 was having near perfect emulation of all ps1 titles. The games that were made backwards compatible for the Xbox one had their own individual emulator created for each game. Other games could be made backwards compatible but for some titles they couldn't get the right for that. What I personally want to see is Sonic 1-3 from the Xbox arcade made available for purchase as a bundle on the modern Xbox consoles.

They might reappear in some form but it's hard to tell. If they were made backwards compatible they could reappear on game pass.

@Weebleman The issue with the 69 billion expense is that they now require the Xbox division to have a 30% profit margin rather than just being minority profitable. Previous MS was content for Xbox to have a low profit margin like 5-10% now with the merger they are demanding 30%. This is why all movies and TV suddenly disappear from the Xbox/MS store and why various future projects that were not near along as MS wanted got cancelled. And Halo and Gears are making a Playstation release to increase the profitable of the Xbox division. The whole MS gaming division is now the Xbox division. MS is building the next generation of Xbox consoles entirely in house which means almost nobody outside of MS will have the full spec or know when it releases.

@Weebleman What I said was that the sales of the Switch were stagnant which means they are staying about the same not increasing not decreasing.

@andrewsqual MS sees a profit in making the Xbox consoles they will continue to do so. Right now, even with low console sales they are still profitable. So MS's focus is on expanding the Xbox brand and offering a premium console that will drive sales. MS is already designing/building the Xbox Series 2 and they will announce it when they want to.

My opinion is that the decreasing sales of the Series Xbox consoles will push MS to launch a new console sooner than later. Xbox will keep up announcing new games, and features and finally MS will announce the Xbox Series 2 which likely will launch in summer 2026. The sales of the Nintendo Switch were stagnant so Nintendo pushed out the Switch 2.

My attitude is that it makes perfect sense. Halo is supposed to be a team experience which makes adding co-op a good idea.

I believe the issue is the VCR Xbox one model which massively held back the Xbox.

My impression is that MS is reasonably further along with releasing the new Xbox console than Sony is with releasing the next Playstation console. MS has every reason to release its new console immediately when it's ready and I personally think it's like going to be in early/summer 2026. I believe reason why the Xbox got dropped is because the base model will be all digital.

My guess is the MS has shifted production to the next generation Xbox consoles and plans to sell them at around the current Xbox Series X price point. My guess is that the next generation Xbox will be available in early 2026. MS biggest success was with the Xbox 360 which launched before the ps3 so perhaps MS thinks it best to launch before Sony.

I think the growth is due to Nintendo stumbling with the Switch 2. The whole play anywhere isn't a big deal in North America but in Japan it might be a game changer.

I am purely speculating but I think that there is a good chance that the next generation Xbox will be launching in the holidays 2025(unlikely) or in early 2026.

My opinion is that the games are still overpriced.

I currently have a Series S and it seems like it would be better to wait until the next generation Xbox consoles launch then get a new console before they go up in price.

Only games that have gone gold are available for pre orders. If there ate no pre orders the game isn't finished. I personally think that GTA 6 isn't going to do the sales that GTA 5 had in the first month. It launched on the ps3 and Xbox 360 as a single player game without multiplayer. The multiplayer was added on later after launch.

Auto redeem is good to a degree but the auto redeem date is always set to a particular date and it's sometimes better to just redeem points when you want to immediately use it towards a purchase. Also once points are redeemed they are only valid for 90 days.

These are a new trend of games that have started to appear on the Xbox store with no achievements at all.

The games are still expensive even when they are on sale. Like BG3 is regularly $90 and it's on sale for $67 so it's $76 with tax.

Slightly frustrated with GOG. I bought a bunch of older RPG games and had them installed on my hard drive but after it was updated to GOG galaxy all the games that were on my hard drive were gone and I was forced to run everything through GOG galaxy.

I think the problem is that the Unreal Engine is supposed to do tons of things but it's not nearly as good as Epic would like to pretend it is. And Epic would rather just blame the developers rather than admit the Unreal Engine has serious limitations.

There is only a handful of Playstation exclusives that I want to see on the Xbox. I would like to see Spider Man and the Gundam series. I know that the Gundam games are produced my Bandai Namco, but they are the only other series I want to see on the Xbox.

It good and a huge bonus but since it's the technology the same version you don't get a second achievement stack. Other people have raised this issue but if there is a full series version you can only use the series version. Then you have games like Halo MCC which are right in the middle. Halo MCC only has the Xbox one version but it has a few Series enhancements which can only be used when the game is used on a SSD.

It's mediocre. It is useful so you don't just automatically start a you don't want to but other than that the information isn't all that useful in my opinion.

EA has numerous decent games but it's hard to justify paying for Ultimate just to rent older EA games.

It's wasn't even a game I was even interested in.

I am finding that it better to wait until games are available at a steep discount then it's time to buy the game. Game pass is ok, but there just aren't enough games I want to play that I don't own.

My opinion is that the move to dump movies and TV shows is part of their new strategy for the next generation of Xbox consoles. I don't understand why, but my guess is that MS is copying Sony's ps4 strategy to just make a plain gaming console without any of the extras. My guess is that the next generation of Xbox consoles will not support digital movies or TV shows at all.

On one hand I do kind of like it but the problem is that you always have to see them or never see them. And the game hub doesn't really show anything more the you would see checking your achievements in game. Perhaps game hubs 2.0 might be better.

My guess is that MS will want to launch the next generation of Xbox consoles before the next PlayStation launches. MS is gearing up to launch when they want to launch. My guess is that they will continue to release more and more titles for the Series Xbox and will do everything to get more publishers to release there games on the Series Xbox, then after they have built enough momentum they will launch the next generation of Xbox consoles were most titles will have a next generation version available on day 1.

My opinion is that MS will keep building momentum with the launch of more and more games so they have next generation Xbox games available at launch. I figure MS will launch the next generation Xbox console with lots of Xbox Series 2 titles available at launch. Some titles will be remasters/remakes and others will be Series 2 exclusive games.

I personally found most of the games that were shown off to be interesting. MS did a better job showing of upcoming ps5 titles than Sony's recent State of Play. I am way more interested in the titles than MS is releasing with the Xbox studios, then other platforms. I am guessing that Xbox PC refers to the third party Xbox handheld they announced in the showcase.

Perhaps from Sony's point of view. From the gamer side, the PS+ is not good, and only offers minimal value. And over the past year or two more games have left then joined the service. And that includes the titles added to premium which are all classics Playstation titles that have been made backwards compatible on modern consoles.

My guess that they planned to launch a handheld along with a new console but the handheld would be too expensive so it got sidelined. MS might shift focus on launching the next Xbox console soon that later.

Big surprise. The game has a long main storyline along with the various guild quests which I remember talking more time then the main quests. Now they have added achievements for the Arena which is more will take more time. I personally like to finish all the side quests, or at least most of them before I finish the main quest line.

It's likely to happen because MS would be able to boost the sales of the next generation Xbox, likely get some cut of games purchased on the Xbox's other stores and will allow them to get into the PC market, but in a limited way. If MS is the only console which allows you to play select PC games it would give the Xbox something unique that there competitors don't have. For me I would like to play some of the games that are only on steam but I don't want to spend a huge chunk of money just to play a handful of games. Any other time this idea of PC titles on the Xbox might not work but now perhaps it's the right time.

Another that should be on the list is Flintlock The Dawn of Siege. It very much a soul like, but it's challenging without being near impossible and there is a clear objective to complete. Wasn't a huge fan but you slowly warmed up to the game. It's on game pass and frequently goes on sale.

Nope just too easy and too dumb for me. Railway Island 1 and 2 are cool along with the Dreamland Solitaire games.

The problem is that they aren't much cheaper. I see various refurbished Xbox consoles for about $50-$60 cheaper than the brand new consoles, so it not a big difference when they are in the $600 - $800 price range.

My interpretation is that MS is making some major changes to the next Xbox unlike the Series Xbox which has seemed more like a minor enchantment then a major change. MS is likely to copy Sony with the changes from the ps4 to the ps5. So lets say the Xbox Series 2 will be able to run all the Xbox Series and other BC titles along with the new Xbox Series 2 titles which will be enhanced for the Xbox Series 2. Just my guess.

Made the switch to full digital with the Series S. On one hand I kind of miss physical games but they are increasingly hard to find and they seem to only generally sold at full launch price. But it's nice to get rid of the clutter with all the physical games. I believe another issue is that MS has to pay Sony to use the Blu-Ray format for game disc, and enhanced capability disc cost more. MS should try to release there next Xbox console cheaper than the PS 6 since they are guaranteed to sell better.

I can clearly see a difference between the Series S and Series X. And in this case clearly the way to play the game is definitely on the Series X. But the game still looks playable on the Series S.

LOTR Gollum Precious Edition is only $8.02 likely cheaper in other places. $5.99 in the US and £5.24 in the UK. Should be some easy gamer score.

I personally think the issue is that the game is likely being released for the Xbox before other consoles which tends to make MS way more carful on what is in the game. If a game, like Baulder Gate 3 was released on Xbox first it would be a problem for MS. Then again if Sony got it first for the Playstation then it perfectly fine for the Xbox version to be the same. Totally absurd but that tends to be how it works.

What I see is that the Xbox Series X models are hard to come by and generally only the Xbox Series S models are readily available. The best move MS can make with there next console is to wait until Sony releases the price of the ps6 then announce there next Xbox console cheaper then the ps6.

I shifted to fully digital with the Series S and don't really miss having to deal with physical disc. I previously wanted all games in physical format but realized that you just end up with too many games you don't want to play and they take up space. The x360 was awesome since all games could be played straight from the disc. But with the X1 all games needed to be installed which make it hassle to check out an new physical game you just bought. Another issue that I have found is that physical Xbox games are a lot harder to find then before and they are almost always selling at full release prices.

My attitude is never buy any game day one since you're better off waiting until it drops in price. Online games are lots of fun but the problem is that they go offline and the whole game vanished most of the time. Most online titles usually only last a few years before they are permanently shut down. The gamers will likely lose the lawsuit but it the only other choice other then giving up. I don't know much about the particular game but they could of easily claimed that the would always be available but had stated in the standard 50-100 page term of use that they could shut down the service at any time.

Rare that there is a indie title on game pass that I am genuinely interested in but I'll definitely play it.

@Millionski But the price is very steep. It's selling for $630 and $700 with Mario Cart. I was able to get a deal on a Series S and it good enough for me. Gamestop is really trying to promote and sell the Switch 2 but it price tag is a bit much. Right now the Switch 2 is selling for the same price range as the PS5 and series X.

The first problem is that the Switch 2 has the same price range as the ps5 series Xbox but only has the performance of a ps4. The next huge problem for Nintendo is that they are opening up voice chat, but don't seem to have a system in place to moderate it like MS and Sony have.
